The property is incredible. The management company is as well. Uncontrollable issues at the property happened the morning we were supposed to check in and they did everything to make sure we were considered and taken care of. Will definitely try to stay here again if we make it back to the island. Highly recommend.
This place is amazing. We had 14 people and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. (The couch in the tree house is a pull out bed!) There was also so much open space outside. From the patio area under the house to the patio area in front of the bunk room, everyone was able to spread out however they wanted to eat meals or just get away from the madness. The location of the property is perfect for Tunnels beach which, hands down, has the best snorkeling access. It is also close to the Na Pali Coast Hike trailhead. This allowed the group that went on the hike to easily just walk back to the house (2 miles) and we didn’t have to worry about parking. (You do need a permit to hike). The pictures do not do this place justice. It is so spacious and has a lot of kitchen appliances. The company is very hospitable and provides towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs/umbrellas, detergent, and even has a good car vacuum to help clean the sand from the cars. (Also, plenty of room to park multiple cars which we needed) Overall, if you are looking for a place that is spacious and beautiful, this is the place for you.

Our family of 10 stayed for a week and we LOVED the estate and all the living spaces ! The living areas flowed right out to the wrap around decks where we could enjoy the beautiful garden with tropical plants and many lovely birds ! As our 3 year old grandson said , while rocking in a big rocking chair on the deck , “ it doesn’t get any better than this !” The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and store all of our food ! We enjoyed eating our meals out in the long table on the deck ! We appreciated the beach gear including coolers , tents , chairs snorkel gear and a few toys ! The beach towels were huge and very nice , too ! We had plenty of room for parking our 3 cars . The bunk room was perfect for our son , daughter in law and grandsons to spread out and enjoy . The treetop house was dreamy either the best views of all ! The main house was perfect for gathering and enjoying one another . All spaces were super clean and well organized . We loved it all !!

The property is awesome, great location and great sleeping areas.
We were a group of 11 members of an extended family that had a 2 week stay in this home. We enjoyed the many bridges on the way, mountain views, and the large lawn to play. We also enjoyed the very nice hot tub. It was a close drive and/or walk to the most beautiful beaches on the island.

Enjoyed our annual family retreat (15 of us) for a week at Hale Ko'olau (used the main house and the tree house). Everything was wonderful. Ke'e, Tunnels, Hanalei, Lydgate, Kalihiwai, Kilauea, just WOW. The estate was perfect for us (and the grandkids especially enjoyed the large grassy area and the underneath part of the house. All the beach gear was a welcome surprise, too! Wifi worked well. AC worked well. Private yet located in a wonderful neighborhood. Makana Kauai staff were VERY helpful and responsive. Nothing but 100% praise from this very grateful family. Aloha and Mahalo!
Wonderful secluded estate. We loved everything about the home and it was the perfect size for our extended family (total: 11). So quite at night and their are no words to describe the stars! Hopefully we will be able to stay in this location again soon.

This property and location are second to none.
Our three generations had a great time at the house. The bunkhouse was just right for the youngsters, the kitchen was well equipped for family meals and the outdoor dining table was so nice for our gatherings. We appreciated the beach supplies--chairs, coolers, towels, etc. Loved hearing the ocean and the short drive to Hanalei.
