We were only able to stay one night, but we loved it and definitely plan on going back!!
Good location, easy access, reasonably close to a good selection of food trucks and a couple of stores. Interior is dated, but clean. The unit could use a few more outlets to charge your devices. The outdoor screened-in porch is spacious and very comfortable. First night - we stayed 3 nights - I took what I thought would be a short nap on the bed on the porch and woke up 3 hours later. I haven't slept that well in a long time, partially because you can hear the waves in the distance. There is also a sweet spot on the porch where you can get a decent peekaboo view of the ocean through the trees. You should expect bugs. On the lighter side, we saw a couple of geckos, but inside the unit, we saw the biggest cockroach I have ever seen. Not including antennae, it was conservatively 3 inches long, so wash the top dishes before you use them. I'm told that this is fairly normal for the area. There is also a very friendly calico cat patrolling the property. One last thing: there were three different neighbors upstairs during our stay, and you can hear everything, sounds like they're stomping around but I doubt it.
We stayed at the Fisher's Hana Bay Hale, bottom unit, early September 2025. We decided to stay here after taking the long "Road to Hana" drive. The location was great, it was clean, parking was available, and it had some necessary items for comfort, such as games, puzzles, dishes, pots and pans, and basic cooking spices. At the time of our visit, there was an impending threat of Hurricane Kiko. I was in contact with the host. She quickly responded and shared my same concerns. As it turned out, Kiko posed no threat, and we were able to complete our stay. Coming from a desert climate, we were not prepared for the humidity and lack of air conditioning for sleeping. There were 3 fans on the property, which made it comfortable. If you are looking for AC, I wouldn't book here. (This is listed in the amenities, so no surprise) But everything else was very nice. Overall, a 5-star rating for location, cleanliness, and friendliness of the host and amenities. (Side note, if you wanted to visit the Black Sand beaches, it now requires a reservation. We did not know this. They will enforce this and NOT let you just go take a look.)
Gorgeous location, surrounded by vegetation and fresh fruit. Conveniently located, close to everything. Excellent layout of the property. Love the lanai bed. The rainforest sounds along with the rhythm of the ocean is so relaxing. I will definitely be looking at booking this location again.

We stayed here only one night after doing the road to Hana and highly recommend this. Such a cute, clean, quiet place. It was perfect way to relax after the drive to Hana!
This was a lovely place to stay after a long travel day and Road To Hāna. Sitting on the porch sipping wine and listening to the waves in the distance was just the calm we needed. Hāna is a quiet town but worth the overnight stay. Mahalo!
This is a cute house with plenty of room for the whole family! Check-in and check-out was super easy. Easy walking distance from red sand beach (highly recommend visiting) and local food trucks.
Nice space with a good location. Comfy beds.
This place was perfectly located along the road to Hana. We spent 1 night and it had everything we could ask for. They have upgraded the fridge to a full-size unit by the way.
Everything was great except upstairs neighbors and hosts communication. Second time staying first time other guests were great. This time fighting and loud music till 6 am! Tried fixing the prob by myself and no luck. Host sent message to them at 7 am this was after trying to call and 3 messages staring at 12:30
The location was great and the home was comfortable, clean, and well outfitted. The only marks taken off are for no AC and thin walls. The upstairs unit was super loud both with music playing loudly and stomping around/moving things to the point that it made it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. Just be aware that if you aren’t renting the whole house this may be an issue. I was able to fall back asleep easily but my husband was not and made it hard for him to power through the long day we had planned afterwards. My stepson loved sleeping on the bed outside and snuggling with the local cat who came to visit.
Convenient place to stay as an overnight to break up road to Hana drive. Perfectly comfortable, though it was humid but that’s to be expected. Would probably choose something with an ocean breeze another time or somewhere with aircon rather than just fans. The place was clean though and the general area was lovely. Lovely lanai. Unfortunately the renters upstairs didn’t get the memo about being quiet …possible they weren’t aware but they were stomping around at various points during the night, which woke us up. Not the fault of the hosts of course!
Nice place in the quiet town of Hana. Close walk to the beach and a slight water view from the porch. Had everything we needed for our one night stay. It was definitely a good choice to stay a night in Hana doing the road to Hana and back. So much more relaxing to head back fresh and take the time to stop and relax
Very clean, excellent directions and instructions, loved the lanai, fans helped keep one comfortable
The property was excellent, highly recommend.

We enjoyed our Stay, especially the near zu the entrance of the Volcano NP was really great.
This is our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first time! Close to everything in Hana, and plenty of room for our family if 4. We stayed here for two nights so we could hike without rushing back, and it was so worth it! Highly recommend staying here.
We stayed in the lower unit. We loved it! It reminded us of our cabin in the woods in Missouri. Open windows for the breeze, gentle rain each night, lush landscape. The washer and dryer are shared with the upper unit as stated on line. The neighbors were great. I do recommend this after a lingbday of road to Hana travel or hiking.
We stayed herw for 4 nights. A great change from the commercial west side. We spend all out time on the screened porch.
The property was just as described, clean and spacious. Had all the basic necessities we needed. The location was perfect, right in the bay area and off the highway. Would come back
Listing was accurate, the place was clean and in a good location. Host warns you about it being in a tropical rainforest with bugs and they are not lying! Be prepared to see bugs. But be smart and don't leave food out or trash in the unit. Also check the fridge, I found a little cricket hanging out in the door shelf :). The place was nice and comfortable and I appreciated having access to beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels. Thanks for that. The mattresses on both inside beds are very soft so I didn't find them very comfortable. I would have liked a firmer mattress option to get better sleep.
We had the best time at Tobi’s place. It was the perfect landing pad after a long day’s drive on the road to Hāna. Nestled within a lush, tropical landscape, and with a view towards the ocean, I honestly could not have imagined a better location. Had the best nap of my life on the outside bed within the enclosed patio listening to the rain. My only complaint would be the WiFi is unreliable, but we were only there for one night so it wasn’t a big deal.
The location was perfect for our one night in Hāna. The ocean breezes, or the long road in, helped me sleep well.
These photos were highly edited and clearly taken many years ago. Every single piece of furniture, dishware, and everything in the unit is different from the photos, very old. The mattresses are 25 years old spring mattresses that are dirty and uncomfortable. It feels like a dorm room with scratchy old towels and very very dirty rugs on the floor that are discolored from lack of cleaning. All of the towel racks and tables have shipping paint and there is cracks in the shower acrylic. The front window awnings are broken and do not work so you have to move the levers by hand if you want to close the window. The kitchen is tiny and has a very dangerous knife rack on the wall, beware if you have children! The exterior of the property is actually quite nice and tropical, but the inside is an absolute bait and switch. Looks nothing like the photos, extremely uncomfortable, and the owner did not respond to any of our messages in the weeks leading up to check in, nor regarding our complaint when we checked in about the house being absolutely filled with black beetle bugs all over the walls and ceilings in multiple rooms and dead cockroaches in the bedrooms. Would highly recommend finding alternate lodging.
We stayed one night in Hana to split up our drive. The cottage is cute, very clean and had everything we needed.
Stayed two nights. Was nice to not have to drive the Road to Hana in a single day. Beautiful beach a short walk away.
This was the perfect place to stay while exploring the road to Hana. Our favorite part was the lanai where we watched the sun rise while eating a fresh pineapple.
We lived our drive to Hana and this was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the island.
