We had the most amazing experience in Hawaii and was mostly due to where we stayed! David and Dawn were the most amazing hosts! Very responsive and helpful with restaurants, things to do and made our stay very comfortable! This place was perfect for our family of 5 and the views - stunning!! We plan to come back and know exactly where we would stay!!
Just absolutely stunning. Beautiful views and everything that you need to make for a luxurious getaway. Great layout of the property to ensure everyone has their privacy. Loved falling asleep to the gentle breezes, lite rains, and waking up with an unobstructed view of the valley below. Close to makawao town for shopping and dining and just far enough away from everything else to make it feel like a true getaway.

We had a great time. Location is beautiful. House is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The view is amazing. Pool and whirlpool were a hit. Close to stores/restaurants in Makawao. Good hiking nearby. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Really can’t say enough about the views. I spent more time enjoying the views than reading my book! Didn’t even think about turning on the TV!
This place is great. The views are incredible. We had a great time here and would have loved to stay longer. Watching the sunset from the hot tub, cooling down in the pool afterwards, lying in bed watching the moon set in the mornings. The quiet and peacefulness of the upcountry. Memories we will never forget.

Ditch the beachfront condo and stay Upcountry! The silence, the view, the flora and fauna, the rain, the winds through the eucalyptus trees, the stars - where do I stop? The winding and narrow road just adds to the feeling that you are "away from it all", but don't worry, it's actually not that far from town! I know most people come to the islands to experience the beach, but this place is paradise. Come relax.

If you are considering a stay in upcountry Maui, this is the home! Photos and commentary cannot accurately describe the beauty of this home and area. The terraced property and the home full of windows allows visitors to truly experience the peace of upcountry. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the deck watching the sunrise and listening to the birds. Dawn and David are amazing, kind hosts who work hard to provide a fabulous stay. Dawn helped us in so many ways with wonderful recommendations, tips, and even a ride to town for one of us when the rest were gone one day. The home is well equipped and Dawn's attention to detail makes for a special stay. We were greeted with eggs from her silkie chickens, and there were beautiful plants and flowers throughout the home. We loved enjoying the pool and hot tub, especially at sunset. The stars at night are so bright! I loved the plants, trees and flowers on the property.We were able to go to all the different areas for beaches, as well as RTH, and Haleakala. Truly the best of both worlds. We loved every minute at this lovely home and were so sad to leave. Dawn, thank you for having us, we hope to return! A hui hou, Charlotte

I can't begin to explain how beautiful this property is! The view overlooking the valley and ocean is amazing! The pool, hot tub and outdoor shower is resort quality. David was a great host, very helpful and kind. I'd stay here again 100%.
We enjoyed our stay here and loved exploring this part of the island. Stunning sunsets, gardens and pool. Nearby historic towns and hiking. Host was very communicative and responsive. Mahalo!

The highlight of the rental was the stunning views, offering panoramic vistas of the lush Maui landscape. The home itself was beautifully decorated, spacious, and had all the necessary amenities. It is a steep climb of a winding road up to the house but it’s worth it. We didnt take advantage of the pool as much as we would have liked. We did a lot of sight seeing and would arrive back tired and ready for bed early. The birds sing early in the morning here. So be prepared to be up with the roosters. The house has everything you need. Comfy beds and a lovely kitchen and open living area. The morning views were just incredible. Wish we had had more time to enjoy it.

Even better in person than in listing. A calm, kind resort vibe has been cultivated with thoughtful touches. What you need and even some things you didn't know you needed at your finger tips. Upcountry Maui is probably not on everyone's itinerary and that is fantastic for those of us who find it absolutely magical and worth the drive. The view, the quiet nights, the stars, the birdsong in the morning and the cooler temperatures were just the ticket after the fun first half of our trip in Kihei. Magical and practical at the same time! Mahalo

This is the most beautiful house that we have ever stayed in. The house design is fabulous with views of the valley and ocean from every window. The interior is immaculate with great details. Watching the sunset from the hot tub after a long hike in Haleakalā National Park was a perfect way to end the day! Granted a rainbow is not guaranteed but we had a full rainbow across the island to greet us each morning. I wish I could add a few pictures to show how fabulous it was! David was a great host - from the fresh flowers, fruit, and coffee to the flexibility with our booking. We will be back!
