This was a great location near Volcano National Park! It was tucked away and very quiet. The hosts were so kind to leave fresh fruit and flowers for our arrival. The house is set up well and has everything you need. Thanks for a great stay!
The Pineapple House is situated just outside Volcanoes National Park to provide the space you need from crowds and allow you easy access to the park for hiking or stargazing at night. The house is well stocked with everything for cooking your own meals, family game night, and sleeping well after a day exploring the park.
Fresh cut flowers in vases on every table greeted us. The house was immaculate; the lawn looked like it was in a fight with the local fauna. (We saw some very cute wild pigs.) The kitchen was well stocked. We were pleased with every aspect of the home and our stay.
The grounds are beautiful and the hale is a little old but we really loved staying there. The hosts were very kind and communicative. The fresh fruit and fresh flowers were the perfect touch! For a family of four, we'd stay here again.
Home was CLEAN, organized, and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. (even some basic condiments) Our host was kind enough to text us when Kilauea was active. To our host, Thank you I would stay with you again

If i could give more stars i would. Had everything we needed and you could tell that alot of thought and care had gone into setting up and maintaining this cottage. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and gave us tips about where to go and what to do in our short time on big island. If i ever go back this will be my number one choice for lodging.!
We loved our stay here! It was the perfect location for visiting Volcanoes National Park. The cottage was very private and the yard and trees around were beautiful. We had everything we needed and more when visiting this beautiful island! We would definitely choose this place again.

very well appointed. Lots and lots of beautiful real flowers in cottage! We didn't see instructions to turn on hot water heater in cottage info book. Breaker box was right by front door but we didn't notice it when we checked in. Property Mgr thought it was in book so I apologize if we just missed it. Anyway, great hot shower after water heater was turned on ! beautiful landscaping.
Very easy! The host was very accommodating. The location was perfect, the house itself had everything we needed for a vacation near Volcano National Park.

Very relaxing. Everything we needed and more (e.g., boogie board). Grill, screened porch, fruit, great sunrises, and plenty to do in area.

This small cottage is very cute . The location of the property is excellent. The property owner was really nice . I mentioned to her that I needed a weighing scale and she left it for me on the porch . Only problem was that there was no dishwasher or washer and dryer in the property. The closest laundromat hours are limited . So we had to carry a bag full of dirty clothes with us to Maui our next destination. But it’s a beauty in the jungle 🤪
We had a terrific time staying. We lived all of the hydrangeas and other flowers.
The cottage was perfect for our family of four. The ambiance was a very comfortable cozy place to call home while in the area. Clean and decorated with fresh flowers. Room heaters for cooler nights. I enjoyed coffee on the covered lanai in the morning listening to all the birds. Location was perfect for visiting Volcano National park and waterfalls in Hilo area.
Gorgeous and peaceful place. When skies are clear the stars are amazing. The covered patio is perfect for relaxing during rain showers. Dehumidifier made a big difference. Great shower. Spacious bathroom and kitchen.
