This little house was perfect for us because we wanted to be a part of the paia neighborhood. The house is thoughtfully laid out, comfortable and full of warm touches: the outside shower, useable kitchen, and I loved the cross ventilation the windows provided. The market has everything and it's yummy. The beach next to mama's is the best secret spot. Thank you Cathy for being prompt and responsive and Norm for such a spotless cleaning job.
We had a great stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and had all things you need to have a great stay and vacation. Even included electric teapot.. all needed small appliances. Also had beach toys and chairs! Located right by a popular local market with fresh Poke! So good! Would stay again.

The pictures actually do not do the property justice. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful well appointed interior with everything you would need. Perfect backyard for morning coffee while watching the birds. Four minute walk to Mommas beach where you can view turtles and relax for as long as you want. We found this location to be perfectly located to experience everything Maui has to offer. We also met the owner of the property who was so kind and talked enthusiastically about how she made this home away from home so special!!
The house was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Beach toys included.

This was a lovely house and we had a great time. Lovely hang out spots outdoors, as well as ample space inside for a group of five. Hosts were communicative and easy going. Really appreciated everything and the location was great also, walking distance to the beach for morning sunrises and right next to a wonderful store and coffee shop. Five stars all around, with one small note about the outdoor hot tub. It’s really an indoor Jacuzzi that needs to be filled every time you want to use it, and there is a note that says there may not be enough hot water to fill it from the solar heating system. It’s also smaller than we thought -for about two people. Since there were five of us, we didn’t even try it, though we had been looking forward to having a hot tub. It may have worked just fine, and would probably work for a couple or a smaller group. For us it seems like a lot of work, and possibly a little bit wasteful with water and taxing on the heating system to get five people in so I can’t speak to that amenity. Otherwise, five stars, and everything was fantastic! Thank you!
Such a wonderful secluded quiet Hawaiian experience- beautiful location right on the road to Hana and near the quaint town of Paia. Everything in the home was perfect for our adult family of 5. We used and enjoyed everything. Tons of fun was had at the ocean’s tidal pool- a perfect place to swim, sun & enjoy watching the giant turtles. The outdoor tub was unique and a perfect place to Star gaze. There was even a little corner store within walking distance with tons of great merch, & delicious food, coffee & wine at reasonable price and a well stocked Safeway only 5 miles down the road. Do yourself a big favor & book this place if you can!
House was super and nice to walk to the beach and Kuau Store.
The house is well located, very clean, very well stocked, well groomed small yard with tropical plants all around. We had read reviews about a Tide Pool within walking distance and it did not disappoint. There were turtles on the rocks the first time we were there, turtles on the beach the second visit and very rough waters with big splashes and no beach another time. Although it isn't real large, the spa tub. was also very nice. Be sure and keep your doors closed to keep the little Maui pests out. If we ever get back to Maui we will definitely plan our trip around Menehune House being available!!
