Property itself was clean and sufficient. However, it took me 2 1/2 days to get Internet and TV service because the modem was no good. The router is over 10 years old. I kept going back-and-forth with Maui resort rentals on getting it fixed. Finally, I came back to my room to find someone in there that I didn’t expect and they were waiting for the cable company to come. They got it fixed. The only other thing I would say is some food storage containers would be nice. Otherwise be prepared to buy your own plastic wrap and or aluminum foil. The owner bent over backwards to help me and to give me a good deal. I am hoping for a resolution and a remedy from Maui resort rentals. Overall, though, you can’t beat Kaanapali and you can’t beat the Whaler.
The ocean view was spectacular and even though it was a studio there was plenty of seating to have our other friends for Easter brunch. We had everything we needed.
We stayed at The Whaler because it was like home. We have been there most often. It is close to the restaurants and shopping. And…the beach is right there. The pool is somewhat dated.

The space was perfect for my daughter and I on our quick getaway. Everything was so clean and inviting. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. I can’t wait to come back!

Whaler property very well taken care of. Beautiful grounds and area. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed Whaler Village and having it so close. Room was very accommodating. Would definitely come back here.
The size of this rental was perfect for the two of us. The coffee was great to have as we are both coffee drinkers. Thankful for all the utensils and of course the beer bottle opener. The balcony has a great view of the mountain and ocean. A small downside was the neighbors directly above us must not have an ounce of carpet as we could hear them sliding furniture across the floor every morning between 3:45-5am, that was impossible to sleep through. Other than that we appreciate the Whaler for the awesome staff and the beautiful property. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Incredible view, well equipped room, beautiful grounds, near shopping and restaurants, and one of the best spots on Kaanapali Beach these days. Maui Resort Rentals also made everything smooth with instant responses to questions.

Studio unit 315 at The Whaler was a great place to stay. It had everything we needed and was a perfect location. The grounds are beautiful and it is the best spot on Kaanapali beach.
This studio, in the middle of Kaanapali Beach and next to Whaler's Village, is pretty tough to beat. Already booked a return trip in January!

Easy to book. Was as advertised. Unit was very nice and well decorated and stocked.
We were here for our 48th anniversary. The studio is perfect for a couple. We were a little concerned about space in a studio, but it turned out to be plenty of space, and the King size bed was comfortable. But best of all was the patio overlooking the ocean and gardens.
