Layout of unit and lanai were great. Pool area is outstanding, but could use more lounges. Unit is in need of refurbishing (paint, outdoor furniture, living room furniture, cushions and pillows).

The place was absolutely amazing! It exceeded our expectations and then some! The condo was well stocked with everything we needed and the location was superb! We will absolutely be back!

Really enjoyed our stay in this Maui condo! The complex was beautiful, the condo was very spacious and had gorgeous views in every direction. Chris was very easy to communicate with and shared many great local activities and businesses suggestions with us. Closet with beach chairs, cooler and such was a bonus!

I have rented many VRBO places. You can tell when owners care about the people that stay in their home. I can tell you that this homeowner takes pride in his property and wants you to love your vacation. Everything was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and convenient for our party of six (my parents and our two preteens). Beds were more than comfortable with great blackout curtains everywhere and great AC for those of us that sleep hot. I knew from reviews there would be items stocked for the beach and in the kitchen and I was still blown away when we arrived. We had already stopped at “Snorkel Bobs” before check-in but didn’t need to as there was a whole bucket of snorkels to borrow in the closet. The towel system was amazing, so we always had fresh towels instead of having to wash them each day as I expected. The grounds were gorgeous and the beach right in front had great snorkeling! Loved every minute and would rebook without hesitation. Thank you Chris. My step-dad is very frugal and even he agreed how affordable your condo was considering all the amenities provided. Off to Kauai next and crossing our fingers we booked a second gem like this one.

The location of this 2-bedroom condo at Honua Kai is hard to beat—right on Kaanapali Beach with easy access to the boardwalk, pools, and Duke’s restaurant. The unit itself was spacious and clean, but definitely starting to feel a bit dated and could use some updating.Check-in wasn’t ideal—we weren’t allowed in until exactly 4 PM, so we ended up waiting around longer than expected. One day, the towel vending machine was down, which made things a bit inconvenient, and finding open seating at the pool was nearly impossible throughout our stay.Overall, it’s a decent place in a great location, but with a few too many inconveniences for the price point. We enjoyed the trip but probably wouldn’t return to this specific unit or resort.

We had an amazing vacation at this property and plan to return. Our host Chris provided great communication, recommendations, and provided additional support when we needed it. Everything was clean and surpassed our expectations! My son had a great time celebrating his 18th birthday here.

Great place to stay!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here with our family of 4. Having a full kitchen, large living space, separate bedrooms and bathrooms, and washer dryer in unit was fantastic. Our boys loved sharing a room with twin bed option. Quiet at night and beautiful view on the lanai with coffee and tea in the morning. We appreciated the use of beach gear closet. Our sons took full advantage of the pool noodles. Easy communication with the gracious host. The Honua Kai pools, water slide, and countless orders of French fries at Duke's restaurant were the cherry on top.

This resort is just perfect and adding to the experience was the room and amenities provided by Chris Burns. He truly cares and his unit shows. There are not enough words to express how much we enjoyed our stay. Hope we can do it again next year.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Honua Kai! The resort has great amenities for families and this unit in particular was so well stocked with gear. We didn’t need to worry about packing or renting all the beach gear and toys you need for Hawaii. Huge plus! We loved the big patio and location of the room. We did think the listing was a little misleading in that after you pay on vrbo the owner requests another fee to offset resort merchant charges. Not a huge amount, 3%, but I would much rather have had that just included in the total price. In my itemized total I paid on vrbo there is already a merchant fee listed as part of the total that I had paid. Again, great condo, and Chris is very responsive and helpful. I just wish that had been more transparent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. Place was beautiful inside and had a nice outdoor balcony with a view of the ocean. Lovely!

We had a great week at Honua Kai- the unit was a perfect amount of space for the 5 of us and had an amazing lanai with incredible views that we used all week. The kitchen was adequate for simple meals and snacks but not for real cooking - a grocery store is only about 10 min away. Honua Kai is also well located for doing lots of snorkeling. We were traveling with 15 people and all stayed at Honua Kai in different accommodations and found it to be well suited to our needs. It’s not what I would normally consider a resort- it does have a pool and restaurant but it seemed the restaurant was mostly overwhelmed by the amount of visitors so we only ate there once and while they served food and drinks at the pool, they were unwilling to bring ice or water even when they were in addition to us ordering other things. Overall it was a great place to stay and Chris, the property manager, was very responsive which we very much appreciated!

We have stayed at several properties in this same resort and have always loved the location but this time we not only loved the place but the host as well! Chris took great care of us from the moment we arrived until even after we left. Even taking the time to mail us back items we had left behind. All of the amenities were fantastic in the unit, it was clean, well stocked and comfortable beds. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

Stayed there in Oct with a family of 4 - wife and 2 teenage daughters. Everything was lovely, location was great! Loved the poolside bar service, which not all condos there have. No issues getting a place to lounge by the pool, there is a parking garage under the complex. Checkin was great, staff was great. Would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful four-day stay at Chris's condo. Among the various accommodations at Honua Kai, we chose a corner room for its spacious balcony, where we enjoyed simple breakfasts every morning. Despite the condo's large size, it was not crowded and remained quiet. Most importantly, I appreciated that it was a relatively new building in Maui. Chris was very responsive and detailed in answering our inquiries before booking, and during our stay, he cared for us attentively as if he were nearby. Unfortunately, due to an additional person joining our group later, we had to move to a three-bedroom accommodation. If the group size had remained the same, I would have spent all ten days here. It's a wonderful place to experience the warmth and comfort of Maui.

Great property at Konua Kai Resort. Condo had everything we needed and more. Chris was a great communicator and even allowed us a late check-out due to a late flight home.

Love Maui! We’ve been there several times and this is the first time on this side of Kaanapali. It was awesome! The resort is great and the room was spacious, clean and nice. Having the beach chairs, umbrella, etc was also a huge help.

While this is not our first visit to this resort, it is our first stay at this condo. The extra amenities came in handy when planning our beach days. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

We had a wonderful time here. Chris made everything so easy. He was always in communication when we had questions. His place was well-stocked with all the beach supplies we could think of. It has a beautiful view and off both the ocean and mountains. So many rainbows to see! And we could eat together outside on the balcony. My husband, 2 year old daughter and mother/father in law were lucky enough to book this condo for our Maui vacation. The condo was absolutely perfect and everything was exactly as listed online. Chris’s communication was impeccable and he was such an amazing host. Having all the beach toys available in the condo was so convenient. The resort itself is also amazing for kids AND adults. The way everything is spread out, it never felt crowded. We can’t wait to book our next trip!

The apartment is a large corner unit with an awesome balcony, seems much larger than 505SQFT... The location is perfect for relaxing by the many pools and there is a water slide!! We barbequed, swam with turtles, picked strawberries, rode horses... and that was just the first 2 days!!! I highly recommend this place; I'm going to reserve it again for my next Maui get-away.

This was an amazing place to stay. It is a unit built for paradise. Lots of ways to get that great sea breeze moving through the unit, or to relax on the deck. A bit of a process to get the AC back on but clearly labeled. In fact, everything in the apartment is clearly and cleanly labeled. There is a great closet of beach accessories that met all of our families needs. The owner is very responsive to text messages and made checking in and out a breeze. Would most definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chris' property over Spring Break with our two young children. The location was perfect and it was great to have the beach and pools so close by to entertain the kids. We were also a very short drive to a kid-friendly beach and playground as well as Whaler's Village. The property was very clean and kitchen was extremely well-stocked for our family. We would love to return in the future! Most importantly Chris' excellent communication made the entire planning process and stay a breeze--it was sincerely appreciated!

We loved everything about the property and grounds itself. This was our second time staying at this resort but first time renting from Chris. The property was beautiful and spacious. The lanai was absolutely stunning with views of the mountains and ocean. Very comfy beds, easy access off elevator. Everything you need for cooking, beach gear, toiletries, swimming pool gear, etc. we didn't have to buy anything except our groceries. We look forward to staying here again! Thanks, Chris.

Beautiful location with an amazing view. I can’t say enough about the owner, Chris. He was a wealth of information about the island and activities during our stay and was in constant communication even after we left the property. My daughter left her AirPods behind and after I contacted Chris about it, he went above and beyond to try and help us locate them. My grandson is only 10 months old so the balcony was a concern of ours but everything was great. I especially loved the fact that Duke’s Restaurant is on site. We ate all but two of our meals there. Every meal was amazing and the cocktails were also amazing. I highly recommend this particular unit.
