New furnishing as of June 2023. Maui Sands unit 1D is the perfectly oversized (1200 sq ft) 2-bedroom 1 bath unit for families and children. Located on the ground floor in front of the pool and big grass/ garden area of the property, the kids will be able come and go from our lanai (patio) doors rather than the front doors and walk around the building to the pool or to play. This doesn't sound like a big deal but being able to walk out of your unit from the lanai straight to the pool, ocean or just to play on the large grass areas of the property is super convenient. If you book a unit on the 2nd floor, everyone has to come and go out the front door, lock the door behind, walk past a lot of units, walk down stairs around the building to walk anywhere on the property. Big difference!

The ocean is a 30 second walk from our unit! Snorkel, catching small fish with nets, swim, surf, kayak right from our property without going anywhere. Enjoy eating on our new large dining table on the lanai surrounded by the lush tropical gardens and palm trees. The unit overlooks the pool and garden area of our ocean front property and your large lanai doors open right up to the tropical garden and pool area of the property. The pool, gas BBQ, ice machines, soda machine, picnic tables and the property 'library' are all within 100 feet of this unit!

Imagine relaxing on our shady lanai, sipping a cocktail and listening to your kids laughing while playing in the pool or trying to catch small geckos in the tropical plants just off your lanai. All while your significant other BBQ's dinner at the pool and socializes with other friendly guests.

Maui Sands is located at the border of North Kaanapali Beach and Honokowai areas of the island. We're right on the ocean in west Maui, just a few minutes north of Kaanapali and 10 minutes from Lahaina town. Just south of the Kapalua area. The resorts next to us are Papakea Resort and Paki Maui.

We absolutely loved our time here at Maui Sands. It was centrally located, with tons of things to do near by. The floor level Condo was spacious and convenient with a the parking spot provided in close proximity. We did see alot of roaches...........fortunately there was RAID supplied by the owners and it seemed to help. I just figured the insects are an "Island thing". The condo was the perfect size for 3 of us girls. I would highly recommend this Condo for your Maui trip 🤙 Mahalo Kory

The photos on line looked better than the real thing. The unit needs real scrub down. Owner was responsive. I would not recommend Maui Sands at all. It is a very old condo, the furniture on the patio was awful! There are very small ants on the baseboards saw a few small cockroaches. Also the floors were not level!

The best thing about this location was the property manager. He was honest and told us what to expect before going there. The unit on the other hand is old and it shows it’s age.

Bathroom door does NOT have a lock. Shower curtain has mold and build up stained soap scam. The owners should spend a few dollars to replace it. Everything could use a good cleaning. Kory does a great job marketing the property, he provides very useful accurate information about the area and beyond, was grate to have the binder there as a guide. Nice location with beach access, that was wonderful. I would rent there again but a different condo, a cleaner one. Thank you Kory

We stayed for 7 nights. The place was very spacious and loved being on ground floor with the pool and beautiful grounds. Parking was close by the condo. Easy walking distance to many amenities. The Fish market had great food and service. A few coffee places and grocery near by. The sunsets every night were beautiful. We did miss not having a full beach out front. No uncovered sand but many beautiful crashing waves. The onsite manager was great and helped us in a situation. Rory, the VRBO manager was also very helpful and responded right away. We would stay again.

When I found this rental I saw a post about upstairs and noise. The response from manager was she wished they told her so she could fix problem. Once we arrived it was immediate and lasted the 7 days we are there. It completely ruined or vacation. We contacted manager within 2 hrs of being in unit. But was told to go up and talk to teneants that did nothing. DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT OR ANYTHING THIS MANAGER HAS. The amount we paid for manger fees they should have handled the problem. If you want you vacation ruined rent it.

Kory, the property manager, was incredibly responsive with some issues that we had once we were settled into the unit. I really appreciated her quick response. Things we loved about this rental: location, lovely grounds, pool, quick beach access, designated parking space, laundry facilities, and affordability. Things that could have made it better: newer pillows, newer pans, and the door to the lanai was really hard to open and close. Overall, it was a great vacation.

This condo had everything essential from kitchen utensils, pots, pans, to a couple boggy boards. There was no hot tub on the property or in house washing machine, and the location was not ideal if you are an explorer.
