L-308 is one of the best-located oceanfront one bedroom units at Papakea. Located on the northern end of building 'L,' this fabulous unit features a larger kitchen and bathroom with double vanity sinks. The expansive windows on two sides of the living room provide a view all the way up the coastline towards Kapalua. At the corner of the lanai you have almost 270 degrees of view, more than an interior unit where you look only out the front sliding glass doors. In fact, you have twenty feet of windows for a greater, indirectly-lit view than interior units.
The total renovation includes tile flooring throughout, walk-in tiled shower and double vanity in the bathroom. Bamboo kitchen cabinets, granite counters and stainless kitchen appliances. Indirect lighting highlights the art displays and in addition to the comfortable sofa, and new Lazy Boy recliner.
The Papakea resort has over twelve acres of lush tropical grounds with meandering walkways passing by Koi fish and tropical lily ponds. Two lighted tennis courts, two ocean view swimming pools each with a shaded cabana, two poolside spas, with free fitness classes and morning yoga and swimercise, two 12-hole putting greens, a shuffle board and six lighted grills by the pool. Tucked away from the road, Papakea's wide ocean frontage offers the best vantage points for watching swimming sea turtles and breaching humpbacked whales during the winter season and glowing sunsets all year long. Have your morning coffee or tea on the private lanai and enjoy the waves. You can dine at numerous nearby restaurants or kick back and grill by the pool. Sunset sails leave from the beach at Kaanapali. Or simply relax on the lanai overlooking the ocean and read a good book.
Occupancy is limited to a maximum of two guests. This is the perfect place for a honeymoon or to celebrate your anniversary. From morning coffee to sunset cocktail you have a front row seat to observe the beauty of the ocean and neighbor islands. Needs updating. Bed worn out, needs paint and new lanai furniture and screen door rollers. Refrigerator went out two times while we were there in 10 days had to reset the GFI which is behind the refrigerator. Great location.

This condo is an absolute gem with breathtaking views. It has all the comforts of home. Take a short walk to the shore for a relaxing swim or lounge by the pool. The lanai was perfect for cocktails and early morning breakfasts. Our stay was a welcome retreat.

We stayed in this condo for 10 nights and loved it! The view in amazing. The condo had everything we needed and the location was great. There is a pool with bbq’s right downstairs. There is a grocery store right across the street, an ABC store and food trucks all within walking distance. We would love to stay here again!

This was beyond my expectations. In addition to all we possibly needed to live comfortably in the unit and a view that could not be captured by photos the management was visibly looking after the property by enforcing rules such as hanging towels from the railings (not us but the neighbours).
We felt at home. Returning home from our adventures was a pleasure because we were coming home to beautiful sunsets, the sound of the waves crashing and whales, turtles and birds amazing us every day.
We will return. We have to. It is our home away from home. Thanks for sharing your home.

What an amazing condo with such an expansive view. We could see turtles and whales from the lanai and loved the sunsets. It was such a treat to be so close to the ocean and go to sleep listening to the waves.

Beautiful view, beautiful weather! We had an amazing time! No need for fancy dinner reservations when you have such a great view from the balcony! We would watch the sunset every night! Whale watching was phenomenal!

This condo is in the best location! So close to the pool and beach access. While others brought their chairs to watch the sunset, we simply sat on our Lanai sipping on our beverage. If you are going to the Kaanapali area, the Papakea is a great place to be. The condo itself was updated, in excellent cleanliness, provides all you can ask for. We would definitely book again! We had all we needed from the property management company..... we needed nothing!

This is the second time we’ve rented this property. First time back in 2019. You can’t beat the location and view from this condo! We would stay here again!
The property manager responded quickly when we let him know about a broken lanai chair.

We have been staying at the Papakea for 27 years and always in a 2 bedroom in the L building. This trip was for just my wife and I for our wedding anniversary. When we walked in this unit we were amazed by the 270 degree view from the living room. We spent endless hours just looking at the view at dinner and breakfast and evening hours.
The unit was beautiful inside and had anything you would ever need and felt just like home.
Since our kids are all grown it’s just my wife and I going to Maui more often and we will definitely be requesting to reserve this uniton all further trips.
We highly recommend this unit to all.
