The condo was nice & had everything we needed. It was across the street from the beach & within walking distance to several shops, restaurants, & parks. We enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely the best location on South Surry. Complete solitude. Would love to live there.
My two weeks in Maine each year are cherished. I love the location of this house, its view, the very low key vibe including the deer who lope across the front lawn each morning at sunrise. My friends and family love this house. It's well equipped, super comfortable; upstairs bedrooms are huge with amazing views of Union Bay across to Acadia. Easy access to both Morgan and Union Bays with friendly walking trails.
This was our first time booking a VRBO and our first vacation with our infant son. Let me first say that the Property Manager, Dee, was amazing. She answered all my questions and made sure we had everything we needed.
The house was great! Very secluded, yet only 20 min from Ellsworth and 45 min from Acadia National Park. The house has everything we needed for my son: pack and play, chair for feeding, bathtub, etc. but make sure you check that they have these items if you need them.
We saw deer every day, we also saw a bald eagle flying when we went to the private beach. Definitely worth booking for your next trip to Maine.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Gray Cottage. The cottage is well furnished, clean and comfortable. It has a wonderful view of Union River Bay. On the days we stayed in, we simply relaxed and delighted in the view of the bay and Mount Desert Island in the distance, or hiked to the back shore area to view Morgan Bay. Dee, the property manager, is easy to work with and made sure we were satisfied with the accommodations.
For those like us that enjoy a little seclusion, peace and quiet you will love this place. It was a great break from the day to day. Amazing views, and beautiful property. Only 20 minutes to Ellsworth and about an hour from Bar Harbor. We did several trip to Acadia and enjoyed some amazing hikes. The back beach is a wonderful private escape and the hike to get there is magical. A great spot for our family of five (three grown boys).
This house was just perfect for a friends and family stay in the Fall. Walk to Morgan Bay, walk across the field to Union River Bay, walk to the local cemetery. Close proximity to a gem of a local library, a well-stocked grocery store, a wine store, and plenty of lobster. Hosts were attentive and responsive. House had everything we needed. Sitting on the east facing deck in the morning and evening was the highlight. Very special.
This cottage was perfect for my husband and I (and our teenage grandson part of the time). Loved the decor, views, path to the private beach in back, searching for sea glass, watching the car headlights as they drive down Cadillac Mountain at dark, the wild turkeys and deer, front deck was our favorite hang-out but also loved gathering around the kitchen table. I really can't image staying anywhere else.
The location was awesome, the house was generously appointed. Quiet, beautiful and lots of wildlife. Worth every penny!
What a lovely property! Such a gorgeous location that was completely private and secluded. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning sitting out on the front porch watching wild turkeys and deer walk across the lawn. The property was well maintained and did not disappoint. The walk to your private beach was enjoyable. We visited several small towns all within an hour or two from your location including Acadia National Park and Bat Harbor. This girl‘s trip was amazing and we will return!!! Thank you for accommodating us and for making our trip extra special.
