Paulele is a beautiful Hawaiian-style home right on the closest beach road (Weke Rd.) on breathtaking Hanalei Bay! This tasteful and comfortable home has four bedrooms, five baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, and it comes with everything you’ll need for a wonderful visit to this 'Old Hawaii' Garden Island paradise. You’ll enjoy spectacular ocean, mountain, and waterfall views from many areas of the home and the world-renowned Hanalei Point surf break is in full view from the convenience of your front lanai! With the short path to the beach just two lots over, you're 100 yards from hitting the sand.

There are two similar primary suites, each with king beds, spacious bathrooms, as well as private entrances and lanais. The third bedroom has two twin beds, which can be converted to a king, and full bath with tub, while the lower level fourth bedroom has a king bed, shower bath, and private entrance. For your comfort and convenience, there is an outdoor bamboo enclosed hot water shower, laundry room, covered shuffleboard court, and covered hammock, as well as lots of beach gear (beach towels, mats, chairs, sun umbrellas, beach cart) and yard games (horseshoes, bocce ball, badminton and croquet).

The dining area has fabulous mountain and ocean views and seats eight, with additional stools at the bar and a four chair game table with plenty of games, puzzles, and books. Many guests feel our home to be a destination in itself with so many comfortable areas to spend time. And best of all, the warm water and beautiful sand beach of Hanalei Bay is just across the street! Generally, the ocean is calm in the summer and surf is bigger in the winter, sometimes reaching ‘big wave’ status. Located within ten minutes of several north shore beaches, you’ll have many options for swimming, surfing, wind and kite surfing, snorkeling, and many other activities. The famous NaPali Coast trail has its main access just down the road.

A short walk from the home is quaint Hanalei town with its many shops and restaurants. Hanalei Bay is one of Hawaii’s most beautiful and pristine beaches, with only private homes, no hotels or condos, built on the beach.

This property was great for the four of us. It was well provisioned w necessities as well as beach chairs & umbrellas, boogie boards, bikes, etc. Interesting note on the bikes is that there were 3. The place sleeps 8. All good, just be aware. There were 4 in our group so we’d need to go rent another. I don’t think I’d want it if I had more people in my group as one of the 4 rooms is adjacent to the living area and the door between them is slatted (not solid) so it would be louder. The 4th bedroom is downstairs and is somewhat dark. The main two rooms were open and bright and really nice. One other thing to note - like many homes in Hawaii, many windows don’t have glass, just screens and operable slats to open or close. We loved it as the temp was great and it lets in the breeze and sound of the rain. But it also lets in the sounds of the roosters starting around 4AM. They woke us the first night but we mainly slept through them the rest of the trip. IMO that made the stay more genuine but you may want to pack some ear plugs if you think it would bother you (or better yet the host could provide them). Great location a 2 minute walk to the beach and 4 minute walk to the shops and stores of Hanalei. We would stay here again.

Our trip was a 50th wedding anniversary for my parents and we had three generations going right after the holidays. The property was perfect, it is easily walkable to food and restaurants for coffee in the morning and closer to the beach For the rest of the day! It is stocked with anything you could need too, chairs umbrellas even a surfboard all in great condition. The hosts gave us great recommendations for renting baby equipment and any other questions were promptly answered. I would highly recommend the experience.
