Spacious, clean, well-stocked condo near Punalu'u! Would stay again!!
Check-in was a breeze. The Wi-Fi was excellent the views were even better. The host Jeff was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the place to anyone.
Great location between Hilo, Volcano National Park and Kona. We were lucky enough to witness the 29th episode of the volcano erupting. Volcano national park was about 25 minutes away. We spent 1/2 a day in Hilo, 3 days at Volcano National Park (waiting for volcano to become active) and a day in Kona. Great place to get to see all of these with moderate driving to each one.
We had a HUGE spider in the bathroom, lizards throughout condo, aged furniture (not furniture in photos), dirty refrigerator, and bird droppings inside the front door.
Wonderful, relaxing property off the beaten path. The condo is exactly as described. Very comfortable with everything we needed. As others have mentioned, it is not a quick trip to a grocery store or restaurants, so come prepared. Internet access was good and consistent, which made our working holiday possible. Our host, Jeff, was quick with responses to questions and a gracious host. Everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend.
The location is very peaceful and serene with a beautiful view of the ocean. Jeff was very prompt to respond to a minor issue we had. Wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend it.
The facility is beautifully maintained. Quiet, definitely off the beaten path. Would have appreciated higher quality kitchen essentials and cookware, and more attention to cleaning details. Very comfortable space and loved the view from the patio.
Quiet location and no light pollution…ideal for night sky photography
A great property in a great location. The patio is very private. The resort is very well maintained. A good base to visit the Volcano National Park.
We were able to have quiet relaxation yet enjoy all of what the island boasts. Close to see the KÄ«lauea eruption twice! Found the Punaluu Bakery and the turtles on the beach. Jeff was always quick to respond and cared to check on our needs.
Clean, private, comfortable property. Great pool, stargazing, proximity to black sand beach, quaint restaurants and Volcano National Park. Many great memories.
Saw whales,swam with turtles and saw the volcano erupt. What more could you want but a peaceful place to stay? So quiet at night you can hear the wind and surf. Woke to birds in the morning. Classy place with nice decore. Friendly neighbors. Comfortable bed.
Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The location, the view, the communication! We enjoyed every minute and hope to return in the next year or two!

Beautiful condo in a great private location very close to black sands beach. We could hear & see the ocean from the lanai. Gorgeous views. Private backyard, although we were surprised one night with a group of people walking through the backyard which isn’t on a pathway. Guess they were enjoying the beautiful views too as seemed they were just walking whole perimeter of condominium property. Bed was super comfortable & shower is huge. Really nice place to stay. Views are amazing & we so enjoyed listening to the waves crash. Easy to check in too. Great stay!

We enjoyed a one week stay in this unit, a 2-bedroom, 1-bath condo. The owner has accented the home with nice touches, including art and cut flowers in the living room and dining room. It has a nice sized living room and dining room. The bedroom is large, with an on suite which is shared with the rest of the unit. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is small, and needs some item replacement, such as a mixing bowl set, a properly working can opener, enough matching glassware for more than two people, and a sharp knife set would be helpful.More lighting in the living room is needed. Perhaps 3-way bulbs in the lamps at both ends of the sofa, to make reading easier. I would love to see a larger television, sitting on top of the cabinet housing the current one.We loved the secluded, private lanai. It overlooks the former golf course and has a good view of the ocean, in the distance. The lanai area is fully under a new, expanded cover.
My husband, two kids (ages 10 & 7), and I stayed for three nights/four days here. The unit had everything we could want for the stay: the beds were comfy, the towels plush, the kitchen stocked with the utensils/pans we needed to eat in. The view from the unit was breathtaking! And the stars!! We have never seen the stars as clearly as we did staying here. Jeff was very prompt with all communications and the check in and out process was super easy. We were so happy with our decision to stay near South Point because we were no more than 30 mins drive from the beaches and the national park (which were basically the only things we wanted to see). Great peaceful place to stay
We loved our stay here. The home is perfectly situated near the black sand beaches but away from the hustle and bustle. The grounds are beautifully manicured and you can see the ocean from the back patio. We enjoyed the views and relaxing in the hot tub at night. Only thing we would have liked to have was better beach equipment. Overall we were extremely pleased and Jeff was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again!
Our stay was great. Loved that we were 5 minutes from Black Sand Beach and 30 minutes from Volcano National Park. The king size bed was very comfortable. Jeff was very responsive to any questions we had. I would definitely stay again on my next visit.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very peaceful and beautifully arranged. The condo was clean and had everything we wanted. We have been so blessed by the stay here and will recommend it to others.
Overall our stay was nice! There was a bit of a mix up about the cleaning, but Jeff was quick to resolve the issue and very communicative. Great option for this area!
This was a great area to stay if you want a nice, secluded part of the big island. Right by the Panulu'u black sand beach and close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP. Great way to celebrate our anniversary!
Property is a great place to stay to getaway from it all! Great amenities ( pool, hot tub, incredible view. Be aware there is no a/c ( not too bad if trade winds are cooling the place, otherwise it can get prettt.The fans were defns are deforest bc needed
Wonderful accommodations for two in this beautiful, ocean view location. Just a half hour from Volcanoes National Park and nearby lovely Naalehu town, we would love to come back and stay longer! Thank you for the wonderful history and detailed descriptions of the area. Jeff, please leave instructions for a few things, such as TV connection, checkout, and laundry on last day. Great stay!

Cleanest, most updated rental we’ve had at Punaluu in several years. Most have been “well used & worn out” #23 is spectacular in comparison
Property was excellent minus 2 things. It has no air conditioning and is over an hour from any meaningful supplies. Absolutely great view and remote rural setting. The condo has everything you need. Jeff is a great host.
