My wife and I planned to stay at this villa for about a week. We were so impressed that after two days we extended our stay for another 11. The access to the beach and Mauna Kea was close enough to be convenient but not so close that we felt like we were in a hotel. The place was clean, very well-equipped and exactly as advertised. The owner made herself available even when she was out of the country and the local management was quick to respond to the very few issues we had (spa issue that was fixed.) There is a lot to offer in this villa so be sure to really explore the place before you buy anything. It may take a bit to figure out the lights, TVs and other amenities but
We had a magical stay at Villa 12. The Villa has it all, the kitchen is stocked with a large variety of appliances and tools, there is a BBQ, a jacuzzi, a pool, and the views up and down the coast don’t end. It is an easy walk down to the Mauna Kea Hotel to access the hotel facilities. That was my favorite as I could get to the hotel's amazing outdoor bar for the best MaiTai and Pina Colada, in a heart beat!!There is wonderful community space both inside and out, and the location of the bedrooms gives everyone plenty of privacy. We love this Villa and look forward to returning very soon. Thank you for a perfect stay.
Great villa conveniently located within Mauna Kea property. A 10 minute walk down the private path and you are at the hotel and beach. House was fully stocked with any kitchen items you would need if you plan to cook at the house. Very clean and well-kept. We had a great stay!

My husband, daughter, and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa 12 for eight days and absolutely loved it! The Big Island is such a special place and this property allowed us to experience it fully. The views of Mauna Kea at sunrise and the ocean at sunset were priceless. This property was especially great for us because we had the space and flexibility of a home while also having the amenities of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel within a short walking distance. The Villa had everything we needed and was very well taken care of. Also, Sarah the owner was so accommodating and helpful before and during our stay. We cannot wait to come back!!

Villa 12 is an exceptional Villa. The Villa is a stunning, and comfortable home. The Villa is very well appointed with everything you might need. The walk to the hotel and beach is 5-7 minutes, very pleasant and a lovely walk.
The Villa is perfect for families as well as couples given the layout. The indoor and outdoor furniture are very welcoming and comfortable – perfect for gatherings and enjoying one another’s company. Regardless if you are having a working vacation or a true vacation, there are comfortable seating areas for everyone to achieve the holiday they are looking for.
The location is ideal, extremely private and quiet, and the sunsets are right off the deck, and are a perfect way to end the day.

We always stay at the Four Seasons and we really enjoyed the space this Villa provided us. Definitely purchase the resort pass - my husband played golf twice, we parked at the hotel, enjoyed using the hotels beach chairs and towels. We’ve been going to the Big Island for 25 years and we’ll definitely return the this Villa. Thxs Sarah and Alexis for letting us add one extra day to our rental at the last minute and for the great communication during our stay.

We’ve stayed in several villas at MK and this was the best by far. Great views, nice pool and updated furnishings and decor. Hope we can return again one day!

Really lovely property just behind Mauna Kea resort. Easy walk to and from. Rental managers were great. Good communication and very attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again.
This was exactly what my husband and I needed for our honeymoon! Private, on a beautiful property, AMAZING sunset views, very clean and had all the necessities we needed. Most nearby restaurants were part of resorts so if you want to eat at more local places, it’s a minimum 45 minute drive. Otherwise I would HIGHLY recommend.
