My lovely condo is at the highly rated, ocean/beach front, Kanai A Nalu. On over two acres with stainless steel Commercial BBQ's, an oceanside shower, a solar heated pool, a pool-side eating area, all just a couple minutes' walk to 4 mile long SUGAR BEACH. Conveniently located in Maalaea, just 15 minutes from the airport. Owned for 20 years, my condo is very personal to me. I've tried to make it a wonderful retreat for my guests and my family (3 grown children, plus 7 grandchildren). It has many amenities.

Most people picture in their minds their dream vacation, directly on the ocean, with magnificent sunrises and romantic sunsets. My ground floor, corner condo could fulfill that dream. When you walk in the view of the ocean from the living room, is awesome. When you go outside, the 180° views will take your breath away. Every morning, relax on the lanai watching the sun come up over Haleakala and sea turtles in the waves.

Just lowered, my rates are very reasonable. Especially compared to other ocean front condos at Kanai A Nalu. There are only 2 units at our complex that have double sized lanais that seat 6 guests (like mine). Both charge more per night and neither offer central air. There is an extra fee, per guest, beyond the 4th.

Other lanais only seat 4, enclosed by side walls. Most only sleep 4. Our corner condo, #117, sleeps 6 and offers amenities many units don't, Such as: Central air throughout, 3 Roku Smart TV's (Netflix, Prime), 3 DVD/Blu-ray players, an adjustable (firmness or softness) "Sleep Number's" King, children and toddler items (crib, stroller, pack -n-play, hi-chair and baby gate). There are movies, games, books, puzzles, blocks and more. For beach fun we have sand toys, beach towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, sand chairs, and ice chests.

Currently, there is a PROPOSED ban of Short Term Rental's on the "Minatoya List" for South Maui, POSIBBLY to start in 2026. For West Maui, it might start in July of 2025. It's predicted to be tied up in court for years due to injunctions and lawsuits, as what they are trying to do to property rights is against Hawaii's constitution. This ban is still UNAPPROVED by the City Council.

Attempting to take away vested property use rights from existing owners who have operated legal vacation rentals for decades is not right. I have owned my unit for 20 years. When I bought it, the zoning was "Hotel/Resort". So I was allowed to rent it out. Then in 2017, it was changed to A1, Apartment. Why?? I'm a retired senior woman who needs the income to supplement my social security. My condo also supports my property manager (a widow with 3 children), my cleaning gals, my handyman, and all the stores and businesses that I buy from in Kahului and Kihei.

HAWAII COURTS HAVE RULED THAT PREEXISTING USES ARE VESTED RIGHTS PROTECTED BY DUE PROCESS PROVISIONS IN BOTH THE HAWAII AND U.S. CONSTIUTIONS"

I apologize, the following description is long. But, a Maui vacation is a big expense. To help with your decision, I've added lots of photos.

Our condo has central air in the living room/dining area, and both bedrooms. Each can be adjusted separately with built in dehumidifiers to remove excess moisture, keeping you even cooler. In summer Maui gets into the 90's, with the humidity at 80%. CENTRAL A/C ...
