My wife and I stayed with my older parents for 8 nights. We found the home comfortable, spacious, and true to the pictures and description. Being 2 couples, it was great to have 2 master suites - additionally, the upstairs bed and bath are not directly above the downstairs, so each is quiet and private. Only downside for the upstairs is it can get warm in the later afternoon. There is a limit on the AC temp at 72-degrees. The room cooled down in the evening after sun went down. We spent quite a bit of time away from the home, sightseeing and exploring the island, but when we were home, we enjoyed the beautiful grounds of Mauna Lani, the conveniently-located grocery store, the lovely pool area, and the home, itself. We spent mornings watching the birds and mongooses from the back patio, and evenings cooking on the grill and relaxing on the spacious and comfy sofa. We rented a resort golf cart so that both couples had a vehicle, and we all really enjoyed buzzing around in it - over to Mauka for beautiful views and good breakfast, the shops, the Fairmont, and the beaches. It was also lovely to be able to park both the cart and our rented Tahoe in the 2-car garage (although parking the SUV was tight, it was still doable). Additionally, we appreciated Wendee’s help when we found ourselves in need of wheelchair and scooter rental, as well as some extra pillows and blankets. We would recommend the home, the resort, and the Big Island! We can’t wait to return! Mahalo!

My two teen/tween daughters and I enjoyed a wonderful weeks stay at this property. The beauty of the neighborhood and amenities is fantastic. The home is warm and inviting. Beds are super comfortable, the unit is stocked with beach gear which is great. My only (slightly) negative is I wish they had bikes as many other units do and possibly more comfortable lounge chairs on the lanai. Overall a great experience!

We had a great time staying at this condo. Everything was as represented. It was clean and roomy. The snorkeling at Makaiwa Bay (beach that is easily accessible with access card) was great (snorkel out and around the left side of the bay).

The rental unit worked really well for our stay in kona with our teenage son and his friend. The condo was very clean and in a great location. The kitchen was well stocked and the garage had boogie boards, snorkel gear, and beach chairs. They also had some coolers available. Communication with Wendee was clear and prompt. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kulalani. My only complaint was that the carper in the downstairs bedroom seemed like it needed to be cleaned but that would not stop me from renting this unit again. The kitchen was well equipped and has everything you need for your stay.

Beautifully landscaped property, lovely, tastefully decorated and furnished, spacious home…pretty much everything needed in a home away from home. It was especially nice to find grocery dry goods that would have cost a small fortune to buy at Foodland Farms. Special kudos to Wendee, who even on a weekend responded immediately to a problem I’d created for myself. If I were to offer any advice to future guests, it would be to not rent anything larger than a standard sedan, which itself is a bit of a squeeze through the narrow garage doors. (What was the architect thinking?) I’d also suggest that, if you anticipate that not everyone in you party will be going the same direction all the time, consider renting bicycles or a golf cart. It’s an easy walk to Foodland Farms and The Shops, but the “Beach Club” is a hike.

We have stayed at Kulalani many times. This townhouse is on the golf course side which always offers a bit more privacy and quiet. The 2 master suites were great for us and our teen. Lots of space to spread out. The couch is cozy for exhausted evenings after days of fun. All the basics were covered here and the location can’t be beat. All communication was clear and smooth. The house has beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers & boogie boards which makes the outings easier. Outside dining and lounging felt fairly private. Thanks! We always come back to the Kulalani sub division.

The townhouse is very spacious and in amazing part of the resort. It faces golf course, so no noise of any kind, save for the morning birds. Both ensuites are huge and there is plenty of space in common areas for even bigger family. Small shampoo/wash packs (reminiscent of hotels) were appreciated, especially for late arrivals like ours. Beds are comfortable and linens are good quality. Towels galore, including beach towels. The kitchen is full of dishes and cups, plenty of pots and other kitchen tchotchkes. Salt/oil was present in the kitchen, as was plenty of paper towels, tea towels and dishwasher+regular detergent. Coffee machines/blender/toaster - all fine and working. Fridge was clean, but some spices/condiments are intentionally left. The only weak part is very dusty BBQ and patio area, it seems nobody used it in ages. Not overly bad - we used waterhose on the patio to clean up dinnete and patio, nothing overly dirty. Few pots could have been washed better, and one armchair shows a bit of wear, but everything else was spotless and clean. The garage was also well equipped with beach gear, if exploring other beaches is your goal - you are covered. Laundry room has new front-load washer and dryer and there is plenty of detergent. The whole neighborhood section is very lush and very clean. There is a construction area at the end of the row, but there was no noise nor traffic due to it. The only annoying point is the gate - it was wide open all the time we were there, when all other "neighborhoods" had theirs closed off. Granted, the gate for Kulalani is kind of hidden (and unmarked, bit of trouble to find from main road), but still. The whole property is close to small plaza with grocery store, but we still drove to it, as walking on the main resort road is not pleasant. (side note: this property does not have bikes included) Resort beach is excellent, plenty of loungers - but you have to get there early (or monitor throughout the day) for cabanas. Restaurant on the beach is good for lunch and occasional drinks. The Kulalani/Kamilo pool area is clean, but pool itself was cold and a bit murky. Be aware that shade around the pool is limited to halle and two palapas. The lap pool was pristine and completely empty when we were visiting. The communication with Wendee was excellent - responses were immediate and on the point. One issue with faulty lamp was resolved next morning (whole set of bedside lamps replaced, keeping them matching). Recomen
