My husband and I spent the weekend at the Rainbow lookout and had a phenomenal time! The B&B exceeded our expectations and the hosts made everything easy from the moment we landed on island and throughout our stay. They made the check in and check out process easy and smooth and provided excellent directions to the house and more written information in the house with recommendations on how to make the most out of our stay. The house was beautiful, clean and best of all, private. You felt as if you were in your own world and oasis. We had all we needed to feel comfortable and completely immerse into the peacefulness of this off the grid location. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience to enjoy our wedding anniversary and will definitely be back one day!
This house was amazing. We chose to stay here for a few nights of our honeymoon and could not have been happier. It’s very secluded and a great break from the busier resort towns. But it’s close enough to dining and grocery. We loved all of details of this house. It’s private and the hosts make sure you have everything you need. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and feeding the chickens on location. The pool was right outside and we had it all to ourselves. The AC was well maintained. And the owners were very responsive. 11/10 would recommend
We had such a great experience with the property! It was a great kickoff to our first trip to Hawaii. We stayed there for 4 days at the beginning of a trip to Maui and Oahu and trekked up to the top of Haleakala and down past Hana. The location is really great - along the road to Hana, but close enough to Paia and Haiku for restaurants if need be. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and other amenities were greatly appreciated. Our two teenagers loved being able to get back to the bungalow to chill after our days full of activity. We will definitely recommend to others and hope to make it back someday!
We loved this place so much! We never felt more relaxed. It was just as described. The communication with the host was easy and enjoyable also. We would definitely recommend this for people looking for a relaxing getaway!
Walked in to a house full of fresh flowers, fresh bread and champagne! Everything about this property is thoughtful, you can tell they put a lot of time and work into it! The landscaping is beautiful and functional to give each house their own private space. Definitely a perfect romantic getaway.
My partner and I wanted to get away for a trip just the two of us (leaving our kiddo at home). We stayed at the Rainbow Lookout for the first half of our trip and it was so beautiful, peaceful, private, and a great launching off point for us to explore adventures nearby. Sharyn was incredibly helpful when I had travel related questions - she went above and beyond with tips and recommendations. The place is well stocked with treats and there is a beautiful walk out to the cliffs you can take with expansive views and no one else around. We loved the pool and hot tub. Thank you. Mahalo. After staying on Oahu for 6 nights, our 3 nights here seemed way too short. Every detail Sharyn, Jeff, Kai, and staff put into this home is just incredible. It is so clean and bug-free, especially considering you are in the jungle! It is a great location, away from crowds yet accessible to so many things. The location is ideal for a truly unique-to-you experience. We enjoyed dinner at Mama’s Fish House after a sunset at Hookipa our first night. Our second day we drove the Road to Hana and, because of its location, still had time for a soak in the hot tub under breezy palm trees before sunset views on their private cliff walk, a simple homemade meal, and star-gazing under the most amazing sky! Rainbow is also an easy drive to Wailea and Kihei if you want to check out that area as well! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home and the extra touches that made our 25th anniversary trip so very special!
The Rainbow Cottage was absolutely lovely. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Sharyn left us some lovely fruit, farm fresh eggs, a bottle of wine, and some home baked bread. It was all fabulous.
The sunrise views were beautiful. We also enjoyed the dark skies at night and the stars, especially through the windows above the bed.
My wife and I spent the latter half of our honeymoon in Maui, but wanted to get away to the quiet part of the island. Sharon’s property was perfect for that. It is right along the road to Hana yet close to some of Maui’s best beaches on the northern side of the island. The house itself was also stunning- clean interior, gorgeous views, and surrounded by jungle. Sharon was also extremely responsive and personable!
Unique property with some flavor of "Old Hawai'i." Very private, yet the long-time proprietors are close by and wonderfully friendly. Incredible sunrise views. Do not miss the cliff walk! Thank you Sharyn!
