Perfect beach front cottage. Only thing I missed was an access to the beach for walking. The cottage was clean, everything in place. The T.V.was a bit challenging, but with help, we figured it out. All in all, it was the perfect North Shore exerience.
It was in a very cute community that was very quiet and nice. The inside of the place was very run down with all the cushions having stains. I wouldn’t exactly call it Beach access. There is sand along the walkway that leads to a stone wall that has access to the ocean. There is no beach right on the property sadly, it only lead to very strong waves crashing against the stone wall all day. There were also many bugs in the inside. There were many lizards inside and a cockroach that had fallen on my husbands face while he was sleeping.
The place was clean and had every appliance needed. However, the pool was closed for repairs during our stay, and the manager was out of town. We were not told there were pay washing machines that took quarters, no credit cards and no change machine. A lot of people don’t have change readily available. In addition we were asked to wash the towels, really? Not the fault of the colony, BUT… there was a cricket outside the bedroom window that went non stop until about 4:00 am. The cottage was abou 10 feet from the ocean so the sounds of the waves were definitely very welcome and relaxing.

A great location on the shore. People there very friendly. Close to everything on the Northshore. Being a bit older we did not sleep well at all, The beds and heat inside the unit kept us uncomfortable . Can use another fan or two. Furniture very uncomfortable too. I’m sure the younger set would do fine.Staying the middle of the summer just too hot.
Great location out of the tourist meccas. No A/C buy ocean breeze and fans were plenty

My husband and I stayed at the oceanview cottage. This was our first time in Hawaii. The view was incredible. We saw rainbows. It was quiet. The pool was lovely. The cottage had everything we needed and the office Staff were very helpful.
This was our second stay here at this magical cottage. The oceanfront location is amazing, the grounds are immaculate, the pool is refreshing, the proximity to Haleiwa and Wahiawa is so convenient. The peace and quiet is so relaxing. A touch of old Hawaii. Simply enchanting.
I’ve been coming to Hawai’i for 40 years (about 15 trips). This was my favorite stay. The property was outstanding, the community was lovely and the location was perfect. The cottage was even better and more roomy than in the photos and exceeded my already high expectations. It was terrific and I highly recommend it!
Excellent place!!! Celebrated our 10 year Anniversary. Place was very clean, area was quiet and relaxing. Would 100% come here again.
We stayed for a week in April 2025. Peaceful spot where you can relax to the sound of ocean waves. Cottage is in a wonderful small gated community near the end of the Farrington Hwy. Beautiful nearly empty beaches near by. We did an oceanfront trail ride on horses right next door. Great place if you are looking for something more low key than staying in Waikiki

Whilst the property is aging a little, it is perfect for those who wish to get away to a peaceful and quiet location but still enjoy the sight and sounds of the ocean.The property has everything you need and we absolutely loved it!
Wonderful view of the ocean, but the unit itself is very outdated. The shower leaks all over the floor. The grounds are well kept, but again dates.
Close to where daughter lives and a wonderful peaceful beachfront location.
The property was very nice and all the people are friendly. Very quiet as well. The unit is right on the water so you get to sit and watch the ocean all day. It was perfect for us.

Always enjoy staying at MBC. The Sand Dollar lanai is my favorite place to hang out and enjoy the trade winds and ocean view. It's sad that there is no more beach access because of the water level and the neighboring homes being threatened to wash away. Hope the State can figure out what to do so that the water doesn't get under the seawalls. Just something to be aware of if you want beach access, you will have to drive down the road.
Rented cottage as Spartan races were across highway. Cottage was perfect to relax at before and after each race and unwind as cottage is 10 meters from ocean
Beautiful location! Can't beat the view. Comfortable furnishings. Everything we needed was right there in the cottage. We loved being able to sit on the patio and just take in the sunrise and sunset and everything in between.
We’d return in a heart-beat! Loved the outdoor shower, the sound of the ocean hitting the seawall as we slept. So unreal. And we live on the water in California.

Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable, and communication was great to include the property manager. Would definitely recommend
The location is excellent. So much to see and do within a very short drive in any direction. About the only minor flaw is there isn't a sandy beach right in front of the house. The water is rough but it can still be swimmable. Plenty of turtles to see as well
The house itself is very well stocked with all the necessary items for making dinner, sleeping, showering, etc. We were able to settle into a very normal, home like routine. The windows can be opened, the fans used and it's a fantastic way to sleep listening to the waves literally right outside the home. Highly recommend!
The property and grounds are beautiful. Waterfront, short walk to beach access. However the outside the property area is not great. This is a lot of ranch area and seeing homeless and parked cars along the highway is the norm.
Secondly, this seems to be some issues between the rental management company and the people who manage the property. We had an issue with check in card not being initialed in one spot which generated lies between the 2 companies which was taken out on us in a very unprofessional way. We also had issues with the entry gate which caused us to sit outside the gate waiting for a phone call back. Both times this happened it took so long that other tenants open the gate for us.
Overall the property and setting is beautiful. Having access to a pool and the ocean is great. If the management companies can work out whatever differences they have, this would be a much, much better experience.

So nice! Our 7th trip to Hawaii, 4 Islands. This the best relaxing stay. We were up before sunrise every day and there for every sunset. It’s amazing that both are in plain view from the same place. Having an open patio was great. We read our Bibles each day outside, watching the sunrise and enjoying the waves. We saw 5 turtles our very first hour and even snorkeled with 3 during our stay. We snorkeled every morning as the tide was at its lowest, no wind in the morning. Even directly out front had good snorkeling, beautiful fish of all types. You had to find the pockets where they hung out. We stayed put most of the time with few excursions, that’s how much we likes the setting. I highly recommend stopping at Costco before you check in and buy your food. That way you can have oceanfront dining always.😊😊. The interior of the cottage is not the high end, but it’s the oceanfront we loved. Be aware of no air conditioning, fans helped. We have done nothing but tell our friends and family how much we enjoyed our stay.
Cottage could use some updating. Was well stocked with kitchen and bath items. Loved how close it was to the ocean.

About six yards from the water, I paced it off. A sea wall of around ten feet is all that keeps the ocean back, amazing unobstructed view you never tire and rocks you to sleep. The condo lanai overlooking the ocean is the best feature, inside is adequate but dated. Newer appliances help that part. A studio floor plan so a single, a couple or family with small children, are best suitability. You will never be closer and have a more spectacular view of the tropical ocean.
