    We stayed in unit 202 in November 2022. The unit felt dirty and run down. The listing states a newly renovated kitchen and two recently renovated bathrooms….but beware, both are completely false! The kitchen and bathrooms are dirty and dated. There was visible dirt and dust in both bathrooms. The bathroom doors were filthy, scuffed up, and in dire need of paint. The door are extremely loud, old pocket doors. The one screeched so loud we were unable to open and close in the night without waking others up. The master shower has the most awkward 3ft wall that needs to be stepped over to enter the shower. You need flexibility to get into the shower and beware if anyone elder needs to use it. The Murphy bed collapsed in the night when we were sleeping on it. The living room couch felt dirty and we avoided sitting on it for most of the week. The dining table chairs were worn and dirty. The fabric had holes and stains. The beach chairs in the unit were broken. The night stands had a sticky substance all over them. There were crumbs around the couch. My daughter wore socks the first day in the unit and they were black on the bottom. You could not walk around barefoot in the unit. We contacted the rental company on the first day and they sent cleaners back to the unit. They stayed for no more than 20 minutes and the unit was not improved. We spent time cleaning on our first day of vacation. This condo needs a serious deep clean, new furniture, and renovation.

    I used to stay at this condominium complex when I was a child. It has only gotten better. The grass area down below is just as green the pool seems even nicer and quieter. The beach is so easy to access and just steps away. My kids couldn’t stop commenting on how soft the sand was. It was fun to go across the street to the shops and get food or souvenirs. The condo is on the street side but that didn’t bother us at all. The view from the balcony is perfect to wake up to every morning and go hang out every evening for a sunset.

    With a family of 5 this spacious unit was perfect. The open concept and large floor area allowed us space to do workouts, dance fitness and yoga. This unit is fully equipped with everything you would ever need in the kitchen and bedrooms. The only downside was that the unit is close to the road and since there was all sorts of construction and cleaning going on it was a little disappointing waking up to it.

    Property is in a good location (terrific snorkeling immediately in front of and to the side of the property) but the unit is near the street so there was street noise. We appreciated the deck and the ocean view. The rooftop also had a spectacular view and was very well w equipped for grilling and rooftop dining. The unit needs a very thorough cleaning (most especially walls and trim) as well as the upholstered furniture and rug need to be shampooed. The beds were okay but the mattresses were not very high quality. The washer and dryer was an appreciated convenience. The kitchen was very well equipped but we were unable to utilize it due to a cockroach infestation. Before our arrival I saw recent reviews noting a roach problem in the building. I reached out to Ali’i Resorts (management company) to express concern and inquire about how any issues would be handled. They indicated awareness of the issue and explained that they would be responsible for in unit issues and the HOA and building management would address issues outside of the unit. I was optimistic that the issue would be resolved for our stay but disappointed on our first day with roach activity in the kitchen. I reached out to Ali’I who was responsive and said they could spray or set out bait stations which it’s believed they did (we could not see visible signs that they did either). The activity subsided for one day but that could have been due to the fact we kept all food in the fridge and did not keep any garbage in the unit at all. The roach activity returned despite our efforts (and whatever Ali’i may have done) and persisted throughout our stay. On check out I requested an adjustment in the form of reimbursement for the food we had to dispose of and for the cost of dining out the evening our dinner was not able to be consumed. My request was denied as it is stipulated in the contract that “Pest control issues will not constitute a guest refund”. Should you choose to rent this unit, be aware that you may very likely encounter a similar experience. I hope this honest review will assist your determination of whether this property will meet your needs and offer the value you expect.
