Kuuipo Cottage is a clean, secluded and relaxing slice of paradise. The cottage is surrounded by Hawaii native Ohia trees and Hapu'u ferns and includes your own private orchid garden which you can enjoy from the newly expanded patio. You won't want to leave, as many of our guests have commented in our guestbook. Kuuipo can accommodate up to four adults with a queen bed in the private bedroom and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. This home features a gas fireplace, a walk-in shower and a full kitchen, including stainless steel appliances and a granite bar top. It's only a 7-minute drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. There is plenty to do and see with nearby golfing, hiking, horseback riding, art galleries and much more. The city of Hilo is only twenty-six miles away with access to beaches, shopping, restaurants, and the Hilo International Airport.

We’ve traveled in Hawaii for the past 35 years and have rented numerous places near Hawaii Volcanoes NP. Cottage Ku’upio will be our favorite place to investigate in coming years. This cottage is fully outfitted, comfortable, and has a very nice remote feel. The bed is comfortable and the flooring throughout the cottage has such a classy Hawaiian feel. Loved being there.

We enjoyed our stay… quiet and relaxing.
The Kilauea Iki Crater Trail is very close and was a great hike… and the Lava Tubes are really neat.
Volcano Village Lodge for breakfast and dinner was very good.
PS: there is a little black on/off switch just below the knob on the fireplace that’s hard to find, but once you do, great heat and ambiance if it’s a chilly day.

Very very nice and updated cottage in the rainforest. We are definitely stay here again. The landscaping is beautiful and all the amenities are just wonderful. Danielle was an awesome host. It has everything you could ever need.

This cottage is so well appointed - it’s perfect for a couple. It had everything that we needed and was so clean! We spent a lot of time out on the lovely lanai - a beautiful breeze and sweet birdsong! I would highly recommend this beautiful place!

If you want to spend time near Volcanoes National Park, this cottage is five minutes away. It is in a beautiful rural neighborhood. The kitchen is stocked with pits, pans, utensils, etc. Everything was great, except maybe the mattress. It seems older because it was not very firm. But other than that, we loved our stay

What a great little place to stay for visiting the Hawaii Volcano area! Ideal for a couple. Clean, modern cottage in the middle of the volcano rain forest about 5 minute drive from the park. Everything you can ask for. Nice bedroom, dehumidifier, TV (streaming stick), wifi. Nice covered deck and beautiful garden. We had a great time and would highly reccomend.

My BF and I stayed here last year and came back again this year with my two grandsons. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The kitchen and the lanai are perfect. Great location in Volcano. Just down the street from the entrance to the National Park. The volcano started erupting the morning we were checking out and they boys were able to go view it. Highly recommend

Clean, comfortable cottage near Volcano National Park. First impression of my wife when we arrived; “Wow, this is adorable”.
The property is very clean and about as non-big-resort as you can get. Nearest neighbor is maybe 150 yards away. We fell asleep to the sound of frogs doing whatever they do and rainfall (this is called the wet side of the island for a reason), and woke to rooster doing his thing - far enough away to be just charming.
Very pleasant stay.
