This oceanfront home was fantastic—5 stars! Centrally located, easy to get to, and tucked away in a private, local neighborhood. The carport was convenient, the grill worked perfectly, and the storage area stocked with beach chairs and snorkel gear was such a bonus. The main-floor bedroom with two queen beds and an ensuite was extremely comfortable and equipped with AC. The upstairs king bedroom also has AC and a very comfortable bed. The “hammock room” does not have AC but does include a pull-out loveseat—we didn’t use it, so we can’t speak to the comfort. The kitchen opens beautifully to the dining and living areas, which offer the most stunning ocean view. While the main living areas don’t have AC, the natural airflow is wonderful, with plenty of windows, fans, and two large sliding doors that create an amazing ocean breeze. When the sliders are open, you get the most incredible view—sunrise is just off to the right and absolutely worth waking up for!PLEASE NOTE: During November there was no sandy beach directly in front of the home. You can walk down the stairs to access the water and even snorkel right from the property, but the steps are extremely slippery, so caution is essential. You are truly oceanfront—the waves will splash you, that’s how close you are! Fortunately, a beautiful sandy beach is just a short two-minute walk away.We used the laundry and oven during our stay, and both worked great. Overall, this is a wonderful home, perfectly located, and incredibl
Overall, great property with magnificent views & beach access. The cleaning crew did a good job in preparation for our arrival, but for some reason did not turn on the AC. When we arrived the house was at least 90 degrees inside, while only 80 outside. For some reason opening up the windows, sliding doors, etc… did not initially help. Unfortunately, the listing indicated AC for the house but did not specify it was only located in the 2 bedrooms. Wife & sister-in-law called management who were very responsive & helpful. After a few days the house cooled down to a constant 75 degrees. That was the ONLY issue… otherwise the house, lanai & views were GREAT.
Clean. Great view and location. Quiet area. Cute house
The view was amazing, right on the water. The communication with the property management company was great.
The location is amazing, great area, beach, and vibe. The house had everything we needed.
We are two couples in their late 60’s. Incredible oceanfront house with a short lawn, a sea wall, and steps down to the virtually abandoned, long beach. Being on the windward side of the island, there was always a good breeze. Loved the quiet east shore community. Neighbors were all quiet. The upstairs bedroom and sunroom with hammock were spectacular. The downstairs bedroom and bath were excellent. Beds were very comfortable We really appreciated the minisplit AC units in the bedrooms, a relative rarity in rental units. Washer and dryer were handy. Kitchen was well stocked. Communication with rental agent was great.
Our stay was amazing. The sunrise views were second to none, with a backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. Tides allowed us to walk the beach in the morning, and have crashing waves on the sea wall at night. Only saw a few people in the neighborhood, who were very nice, which meant a relaxing and peaceful stay.
The house is gorgeous, and the host was very communicative.
We have stayed at many properties on the island. This property is by far my favorite and property manager most attentive. This property is amazing! The location on the beach is out of this world. The property manager was very attentive to some small issues with the property. This property is located a short driving distance to Kapaa and hanali. The kitchen is well stocked. There is a nice grill outside. There is a sweet Hawaiian lady that comes every Sunday to take your bottles and can. There are very few cons about this property. I will list a few that are not a huge deal. There are several thresholds that are trip hazards for older people. The step up into the kitchen got my parents twice. The deck is on the smallish side. Again not a huge deal. There isn’t an outdoor dining area. The one big con if you don’t have a warning is the automatic sprinkler comes on at 9pm. We were out lounging watching the stars and were surprised and soaked . We enjoy sitting out watching the stars but couldn’t do it after 9pm. Well we did walk down to the beach to watch. The upstairs view is amazing. I was surprised by the expansive extra room with the hammock. I feel the extra queen bed should be in there. This property is great for couples or families. I would stay here again. Top notch!!! Mahalo Coldwell Banker Properties and Dawn. Aloha
The host team provided snacks upon our arrival and left the lights and AC/fans on so that we would be comfortable upon arrival as well. There were 2 full tanks of propane gas for grilling as well as some filtered water for us in the fridge. The rental had endless supplies of tupperware, pots/pans, dishes, silverware, plastic bags, as well as many beach towels, snorkel fins/masks as beach toys for the kids. The bathrooms also were stocked with shampoo/conditioner and body wash. The laundry room had detergent and dryer sheets. Beyond all of the amenities, communication was excellent with emails sent ahead of arrival as well as text messages. Ultimately, what we valued most was hearing the crashing waves all times of the day as we opened the patio windows. Would definitely stay again.
