Gail is a very responsive host and the condo is excellent. The location is perfect for snorkeling and surfing. I highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our short stay here. Close to magic sands beach which provided a full day of boogie boarding and sun for the kiddos. Boogie boards, chairs, umbrella and cooler in the complex were helpful! Didn’t get to try any snorkeling at the beach across as it was closed but still a great place!
The property was a great fit for our family. We traveled with an infant, a 6 yr old and 3 adults. The pool was great for everyone and beach was across the street.
The condo was in a great location, had a beautiful view, and was right near a public beach. We loved everything about it!
I stayed here with my family of six and it was a great place to be! We’ve been to the Big Island many times and South of Kona is a convenient location. The condo was immaculate and beautiful. The property owner and manager were both so easy to communicate with and very responsive. View from the lanai was gorgeous. Kitchen was well-stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Snorkeling is our top reason for this trip, and it was wonderful to stroll across the street to snorkel at one of the top places on the island. When it was closed (morning clean up of previous night's storm), we could walk back and re-check an hour later. Sooo convenient.We also enjoyed the grill, hot tub and pool.We did load up at Walmart (skip the produce) but more convenient, and in the opposite direction of traffic is the Houkeau shopping center 3 minutes away.No restaurants really nearby except a tavern at Houkeau so we enjoyed grilling and eating out on our balcony.Wonderful stay!
Great location, condo is well maintained, contact with owner, allowed earlier check in, didn’t incur any issues at rental during our visit. Already discussing another family vacation. Would highly recommend this unit to other family and friends.
The condo was great, spacious enough for 2 couples to move around without being on top of each other. Location is literally right across the street from beach park with great snorkeling. There is a great view from the lanai! Nice amenities like beach chairs, umbrellas. People should know that once you are south of Kona, Alii drive is adjacent to the ocean so you will have a road between homes and the beach. We were aware and had no issue with this because the view was still epic and the price very reasonable for Big island lodging but someone in our party was surprised by this from the photos. Also right down the road from a shopping center with a grocery store and drug store, dining options, coffee shops and even a farmers market, which proved very useful and let us experience the area like locals, which is how we like to go. Hosts were actually staying in the condo next door, were very nice but entirely unobtrusive. Oh, nice pool too.
The condo was beautiful and the lanai had breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. The common area had a grill and infinity pool, which was an amazing place to watch the sunset. Across the street was a great snorkeling beach. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
The stay was very nice. The property manager was very responsive. We had a small issue with one of the smoke detectors kept beeping like a low battery. Reached out to the property manager and they came and replaced it.
Nice apartment. Can look at beach from bedroom or lanai and see water conditions for snorkeling. Also, surfboard training.. Walk across street to get to beach. Fantastic place for starting snorkeling but also interesting for experienced snorkelers. A few turtles were in cove. Beach gear and a Pack and Play in closet, if you have little one.Quiet area at night, need to drive a short distance for shopping or restaurants
This place is magical. My 3 sons, husband and I had the best time here. It was exactly as the listing says. We loved watching the sunset and then star gazing from the lanai. Walking down to the beach for the most amazing snorkeling in the morning. It was clean and had everything we needed. Felt like our own private oasis. We would come back here in a heartbeat.
From the first time we corresponded, Gail was enthusiastic and quick to respond to questions. Overall, communication was excellent. The condo is located in a great spot, right across the street from some of the most readily accessible snorkeling on the island and just down the road from the town center with lots to see and enjoy. We did easy day trips from the condo to the North and South tips of the island. The condo itself was very clean, had everything we needed, and even a King size bed for the adults. We did not pay extra for air conditioning so it did get warm at times, but with the fans, we had no trouble sleeping. We also enjoyed the pool that’s within the condo complex. Overall, this is a great place for a family and was perfect for our first stay on the Big Island.
Everything was wonderful, from the condo with pool and hot tub, to the best snorkeling right across the street! We took the cot. Cook snorkeling adventure; while we had a lot of fun, we thought the snorkeling off our beach (as we came to call it) was much better! So much to do on the Big Island; Gail had a wonderful ‘fun things to do list’. We thought the condo was very comfortable, great beds, lovely well equipped kitchen and the lanai was beautiful, we lived watching the sun set from there! Thank you, Gail!
My family (two adults, two kids ages 8 and 10) stayed here the second week of June. When we entered the condo both my kids and husband just about lost their minds over how nice and luxurious it was. The condo is very nicely laid out, with the kids' room (two twin beds) across the living room from the primary bedroom. The beds and pillows were so comfortable (better than I sleep in hotels!) and well stocked with beach and pool toys. The ceiling fans were very much appreciated to keep the air moving and the balcony is pleasantly shaded most of the day.
The location of the condo is amazing - across the street from Kahalu'u Beach Park with excellent snorkeling and a coral reef. The complex includes a pool (with clear view of the beach) and hot tub. Finding parking in the complex lot was very easy.
Gail, the owner, sent an email with lots of info and recommendations for the area. This was a fantastic rental choice for our family.
We enjoyed our week at this condo. We were traveling with our adult children and the location worked out well for us. The snorkeling at Kahalu’u across the street was fabulous. Everyone also enjoyed boogie boarding at Magic Sand Beach which is walkable from the condo. Gail had wonderful suggestions and we took many of them. The condo had a wonderful view and the pool view was the best! We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 3 days here and wished it could be more! The location of the condo is perfect, far enough from Kona to be quiet and just across the street from a wonderful beach.
We were a family of six and the condo accommodated us well (if a little tightly at times). The kitchen was easy to work in and the decor was very nice. We especially appreciated the lanai where we could sit and watch the ocean and the beach. The children loved the pool and we all loved being able to just walk across the street to some great snorkeling. (Having beach towels, etc. in the condo was a big help.)
We had no problems while we were there, and Gail was extremely helpful with all the questions that we had before our arrival, plus suggestions of what we might do in the area and in the time between our arrival and when we could access the unit. A most attentive host!
Should we be fortunate enough to visit Kona in the future, we would definitely hope to stay in "Gail's condo" again!
Gail’s condo is situated across a snorkeling beach, which was pretty cool! All we had to do was walk a few steps to get there. The pool was nice, beds were comfortable, nice and clean bathrooms and kitchen. My favorite part was doing my work on my laptop while having the ocean view right there. Gail gives great tips for where to go and her property manager is very responsive. Overall, I was happy with my stay.
I had a problem checking in due to another random family checked in before me.The Door code was the same as another property and there was an unexpected error.The property manager took awhile to fix the problem and we sat in the car for about an hour.When the property manager finally fixed the problem it was smooth sailing from there.
The location was perfectly located away from the busy of Kailua-Kona without being too far to take advantage of the different stores/restaurants there. The condo was stocked with anything you could need and it was CLEAN. No doubt when I come back to the islands, I’ll be checking to see if one of Gail’s units is open.

We loved our week-long stay at Gail’s condo! It was our first trip to the Big Island, and we had a great time in Kailua town. Access from the condo to the town and other sites on the island was convenient, especially going to the coffee farms (we visited Greenwell) and going north to Hāpuna or Mauna Kea beaches. The kids enjoyed going to Kamakahonu Beach, which had “soft sand” and a nice cove for kids to practice snorkeling in calm water. Go to Ululani’s for the best shave ice, and get parking validated for 3 hours in the Courtyard parking lot :)
The condo layout was perfect for our family of 4, and we appreciated that our 6 and 8 year olds had twin beds at one end of the condo with their own bathroom. The master bedroom was a great space on the other side, with views of the beach, and the kitchen and bathrooms all are updated well.
We enjoyed being able to walk across the street and be on the sand in 3 minutes, with great snorkeling. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, usually in the afternoons or evenings.
The proximity to good food options, like Royal Thai and Kenichi Pacific, was really nice, as well as easy access to the Longs Drugs and KTA. Overall it is a fantastic location and condo, and we will definitely stay here again on Big Island trips!
Really can't go wrong with Gail's condo. It was clean, well-kept, well stocked, and the BEST location! Just a short walk across the road to a great snorkeling beach and surf spot. Hop on the trolley to great dining and shopping. Just a short drive to the marina for excursions. Well-stocked kitchen to cook the day's catch as well as breakfast every morning. Great setup with each bedroom having its own bathroom. We were a family of five adults and were all comfortable-even with one on the sleeper sofa! Gail was an amazing host with valuable suggestions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
