Fantastic, memorable location, but you really have to hound Vacasa to confirm that appliances and features are present and in working order. I tried my best to do that before we arrived, based on recent reviews, and some things had been fixed/replaced, but we still found the oven didn't work, and some of the dining chairs had gone missing.

We folded out the couch first day and the sheets were sandy with wet berries in them so we washed them. The dryer was broken so when I texted vacasa about it, they quickly and politely replied that the local maintenance would reach out. They never did, I repeatedly checked in and they never did and never followed up. It was clear the owner of the property hadnt stayed here with their family in sometime as major repairs were needed. One of the windows in the primary would close and the screen was missing. The toilet quit working along the way. There was also a steady stream of ants to the sinks and we saw at least 3 roaches. All in all, pretty view, but not taken care of at all and no assistance on the trip except being politely blown off each time I reached out.

Great home. Some people are concerned about A/C which most places on the north shore don’t have. Temps were just fine along with the breeze. Basically a private beach at your fingertips. Beautiful views, cannot beat them. Will be staying again.

Beautiful views, feet from the ocean. The ocean spray would hit you on the porch occasionally. Waves are very loud and drowns out the road traffic. The beach was a little too rough to swim when we were there. 1/4 mile up the road was a great swimming beach. It's a little tough getting out the driveway. The house needs a lot of TLC. Deck furniture is nothing like the photos, no table/chairs or table or chase lounges. Laundry room photos are old, dryer is rusty. We would never stay there again. The security camera, if it is working, looks directly into the bathroom window.

Loved the location! Just what we were looking for. Laid back and not congested. The sound of the ocean and the breeze it provided was incredible. House was perfect. HAVE to be on the beach, and close, to experience the soothing sounds. Other side of the street wouldn’t be tge sane at all!

This house has the beach in their backyard! The sunrises and sunsets are Gorgeous!!! You can hear the ocean waves night & day it is amazing!! We really enjoyed staying in this house!

This is a well-loved home by the ocean and all that entails. Saltwater does what it does to all things by the sea. So go in knowing that. As for the view of this home, it doesn’t get any better than the view you get with this home. It feels like you have your own private beach for the most part. Very few people walked this part of the beach. The sound of the waves was great to fall asleep to. It was nice to come home from the beach and be able to wash the sand off your feet or use the outdoor shower under the back lani. Plenty of beach towels are provided and plenty of shower towels. If you get low all you need to do is a load or two; as there is a washer, dryer and some laundry detergent provided. There were plenty of seasonings for cooking in the home. Great places to eat just a short drive away. There are some maintenance issues that need addressing. Such as the siding on the back lani, ants, some window slates not working, and sliding glass doors sticking. The pictures show two outdoor chaise lounges, an outdoor table and chairs, a cooler and the write up talked about bikes. These items are no longer in the home. The snorkel gear doesn’t work. We cleaned all of them and tried them. Most leak. So you will have to rent or buy some nearby. Goggles, fins and body boards work well. Plenty of toys for little ones if you bring them along. Handles in the shower near the downstairs king bedroom keep falling off the hot, cold and shower handle. Even with all the maintenance issues, we loved the home overall and would still rent this property in the future. We do wish this home had AC. I am a cancer survivor who still has to do chemo pills etc. So the home was extra warm for me. We purchased 3 box fans to get me through. We left those fans with the rental property as our gift to future renters and the homeowners. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

There are only 4 kitchen chairs, the access to local beaches is fantastic, it has a grill on the deck, definitely buy your fish from the big save market and grill yourself, the local restaurants are just ok, and very crowded. Hanelei is getting a bit crowded, it was nice to be further up the road.
