The Hibiscus Cottage was an excellent location and price for our honeymoon! We enjoyed being close to the beach and hearing the waves at night soothing us to sleep. The house itself had kitchen amenities and bathroom amenities beyond expectations. We were able to make a fabulous smoothie in the morning and travel the island or stay at the beach and hang out with the waves. A fabulous place!

Property well maintained but across street from public beach access. Noise was a problem almost daily .... loud thumping stereos. Acute on weekend all night.
This cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated with Hawaiian quilt blocks and hibiscus artwork. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed to cook our meals. The downstairs shower is fun and we loved the artwork there as well It is great to be able to walk across the street to the beach. The only downside is that some nights there is noise from the beach campground. Overall this house was wonderful. A great place to get away. The owners were responsive and friendly and ready to help with suggestions of where to shop and what to visit.

We arrived slightly early without a hitch (besides the car rental) or a problem with owners, maybe an hour. The place was everything we wanted. Old, simplistic and well thought out. We appreciated the cleanliness and the hospitality from Greg and Sue. They really hosted a wonderful stay when the power went out the first night as well as the neighbors. They take care of the property meticulously and are friendly. I recommend and plan on going back if allowed by Greg and Sue. Through strugggles at the park, they continue to guide the brilliance they brought and are bringing to the neighborhood. FYI- It's literally a 20 second walk to the beach! WONDERFUL! we loved the beach, the house, the quiet. the house was a little bit hot but there is a window unit. there's no shade in the yard but there are trees planted and growing so in a year or two....! the beach is gorgeous, isolated, safe for kids. if anything, the isolation was a little much for our four-year-old, but we'd come back when she's older, or as a couple. owners live behind in a bigger house and are very sweet.

Really lovely cottage just steps from the beach. The bed was really comfy, and the kitchen is really well stocked with everything you need to cook. Really nicely decorated with lots of breeze and an AC is you need one--although we didn't need to. There are beach chairs and mats...a big bonus

Our stay at the Hibiscus Hula Beach Cottage was truly wonderful. The property has charming decor, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, and is extremely clean from front to back. Management communications are both timely and pleasant. Mahalo to all of the staff at Garden Island Properties!This cottage's proximity to the beach is perfect. The beach is a very short walk away. Fresh ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves makes sleeping at the cottage incomparable. We will definitely be returning!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hibiscus Hula Beach Cottage. Walking distance from the beach and you can hear the ocean waves from the house. Felt like a local in this residential neighborhood, not touristy at all. The house was very clean and comfortable, excellent bedding and everything you would need in the kitchen. Towels, beach chairs and plenty of soap for your convenience. The owners live close by and are very nice and respectful. Great central location to a lot of other great beaches and shopping. Would definitely rent this place again.

Our second enjoyable stay at Hibiscus Hula. The location is convenient, and good except there was some night partying across the street at the beach park, including a shouting altercation which ended before the police arrived. Everything was spotless except for the gas grill. The cooking grate obviously had not been cleaned for a while and was covered with moldy, crusty grease which took some effort to clean and burn off. The kitchen is well equipped except it needs a knife sharpener. Lots of knives but all dull!

Just to lay there in bed at night while the sound of the ocean puts you to sleep..... Perfect location, clean with everything you need. Sue and Greg are the best. We loved out three week stay at Hibiscus Hula Beach Cottage. The beds and linens are so comfortabe and the kitchen is completely stocked will all the cooking tools you could possibly need. We loved watching the sunrise every morning and spending the afternoon and evenings sitting on the front porch. The location is perfect, with Kapa'a nearby and Princeville/Hanalei not far away. The cottage is on a quiet dead end street just across from a wonderful beach. The owners are friendly and helpful and live just next door. We felt at home and look forward to spending another 3-4 weeks here next year.
