Beautiful home and location for our family vacation. House is well equipped and lovely spaces. We would highly recommend a stay here.
WOW is the best place to describe this property. It's in a beautiful area of the island, super private and quiet. Situated on Haena Beach, just steps to Tunnels Beach that offers the best snorkeling in Kauai. The views from the living room are spectacular. We enjoyed morning coffee watching the sunrise and planning the day's activities out on the lanai The house had everything we needed from kitchen utensils, to beach chairs, snorkeling gear, floats and an iced chest. There is 1 bedroom/bath upstairs with the rest of the living area. We let my Mom stay in that room so that she did not have to navigate the stairs as often (bad knees!). 2 of the bedrooms downstairs are ocean view, a 3rd with 2 twin beds would work well for kiddos! I loved the character of the house, a bit older but well kept. The property grounds are fantastic, one could spend all day admiring the plants and flowers. I was concerned that the house did not have AC, but staying in early June, it did not bother us, other than one night that was unusually still. But, they provide fans which helped our TX family who is used to AC get comfortable. We never had an issue with mosquitos as others noted in the reviews.A couple of tips: When you walk out on the beach from the house, take a right. Walk out to the far point for spectacular sunset views (we even saw monk seals swimming in the water!). If you walk out the left around the other point, you will be on Tunnels Beach. The perfect Hawaii get away!
This was our second stay in this stunning property. We love everything about it. Lisa the manager is incredibly helpful and prompt with all communication. We treasure this magical place and hope to return again!
Wonderful location and great feel.
The most heavenly piece of property we have ever stayed on. Every detail was perfect in the house. Beach was amazing. Short walk to Tunnel to swim and snorkel. Owner was lovely. Thankful we bit the bullet and stayed there.
Loved the house, the views and location. Very clean and well maintained. We even had a power outage from a bad storm that knocked out power to the north shore and there were flashlights & candles.
Beautiful property and great location
We loved being so close to the water, which the pictures of the property don't show very well. We asked the property manager for a wagon, in anticipation of hauling toys and babies to the beach, but it was right out our front door. So we used the wagon to ride them around the beautiful property. Our only issue was finding the property, which could benefit from a private marker. Thank you, Lisa, for being so accomodating!

Our stay in this magical place was exactly what we had hoped. The location is amazingly beautiful, complete with spectacular ocean surf, sandy beach and beautiful grounds and gardens. Sitting on the covered lanai, watching the ever-changing waves was everything we needed to recharge. And all within walking distance of Tunnels Beach and great snorkeling. We had a great family vacation and it offered something for everyone. Thank you!
What more could anyone ask for? This is a nicely appointed house right on the ocean. The house shares large grounds with 3 other houses. Not only are the grounds landscaped with lovely lush tropical plants but orchids are set into multiple trees. The front porch has an exceptional view of the ocean.
Beautiful house and property. Only downside was lack of AC and the resultant mosquitoes in the house. We all ended up with multiple bites, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The setting of this place is awesome - - - the manicured grounds, the ocean front, the wrap around deck - - - it was all special. There were a few glitches though. The pictures and descriptions didn’t reveal the stairs you had to navigate. My wife and I are in our 70’s and challenged by stairs and getting supplies up to the main level was a daunting task. The barbecue grill was so dirty and grimy it was essential unusable and there wasn’t even a propane tank when we arrived. The TV didn’t work and there were no instructions on how to make it work. I will say that the young man who came to show me how it worked was very nice and apologetic. The coffee pot conked out on the second day. These were minor irritations and all in all we had a great time.
The gated area of home was beautifully landscaped with tropical plants. The lanai wrapped around the entire home and had several gathering spaces with beautiful views. We sat out watching the enormous waves and watched the sunrise and sunset everyday. The beach was right outside the back door. My young adult children played spike ball on the back law . Tunnels beach and the other surrounding beaches were short walks away We saw a sea turtle and a monk seal resting in the sun on the beach as well as about twenty sea turtles swimming around shallow waters of tunnels beach. The inside of the house has a huge dining table that seats 10. We played family games every night. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The living space was also welcoming and comfortable and roomy. We had a wonderful trip and hope to come back again in May! This was the most beautiful house with magical views!
Incredible location, right on the beach. It’s isolated from restaurants and shops, of course, but that was our goal. We stocked up with groceries ahead of time so that we could stay put for our stay. The patio, star gazing from the lawn chairs in the middle of the yard, the ocean breeze through the house, the gorgeous vegetation on the premises…. It was just perfect.
Also, because the beach immediately outside is a little rougher, there were very few members of the public out there (I saw one person on “our” beach during our stay) . It’s a quick enough walk to the calm waters of Tunnels Beach, and the house was well stocked with snorkels and beach chairs etc
Unlike typical rental units furnished with a minimum of necessary things, this house is full of loving details and beautiful objects. I wish we had stayed longer. In a cost saving attempt, we relocated to a cheaper rental condo in Princeville after our dream-like stay in this house, but we regretted it the entire time. This house is worth the expense. If we can ever come back and stay there again, we would be so lucky! Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at this gorgeous house.

Upon arriving to this beautiful property the drive down the long driveway is stunning and even more so when exploring on foot. The landscaping alone is 5 stars.
The house itself was perfect for our short stay of five nights. The kitchen is fully equipped and the large dining room table was perfect for our party of Eight friends. Our French friends couldn't believe how many tools were in the kitchen alone. A ton of Oh La La's were spoken.
The deck overlooking the beach was where we spent the majority of our leisure time kicking back on the spacious chairs and couch.We appreciated the back deck as well. There is a gate that leads directly to the beach. A short walk around the corner and you can watch the beautiful sunset and visit tunnels beach for great snorkeling.
I love this area of Kauai!! So majestic. Lush green tropical plants surround the property. We found the beds to be comfortable ( be careful of the edges of the upstairs bed frame )and everything we needed was provided. Look no further when thinking about renting a house in this area. I could easily live there.

Had a Great Time! Saw lots of the island and still had plenty of time to enjoy our accommodations. Being right on the shore was a real treat. Very private and beautiful. We also had a surprise wedding in the back yard which my Brother-in-Law & Fiancée made all the arrangements prior to our trip. All the family was there to make the day even more special. The back yard with the ocean beach in the background was so beautiful!
