Amazing location!!! Nice people. Beautiful new pool area. We loved that there was a restaurant and little shop with gifts and snacks on property. The buildings themselves are a bit outdated but still charming. Our only real complaint was the cleaning products used in the unit. We could feel whatever was used to mop the floors on our feet and found the laundry detergent too scented. But that’s an easy fix.

We spent 3 nights of our 9 days in Hawaii and it would have been wonderful if we could have spent them all here.

Overall the property was nice and close to the ocean. Our unit did have a bad issue with cockroaches. We found them in the kitchen, bathroom and ceiling. We had to throw out a lot of food before we saw them as they had gotten into our food. We killed more than a dozen a day but they kept coming. In the end the manager did send pest control but it was too late for us as they came after we already had left for the airport.

If you love crowds, being catered to, loads of screaming kids and tourists, this is not your place. If you crave a slice of local living in a serene, parred down environment with breathtaking views, this will be your jam. Tucked out of the way and secluded at the tip top of the island, you'll feel like part of the North Shore community within days of your arrival. We simply didn't want to leave. Be prepared to do a bit of driving in order to get to certain activities on the island, but it's worth it. We're already planning our next stay...

However, the unit itself is not a true One Bedroom. This is due to the lack of floor to ceiling walls. Because of this, the unit does not offer much privacy for members of the same party staying in the same unit.

The condo is tastefully appointed with a comfortable bed, lovely lanai with an ocean view, and all the amenities we were looking for. The secluded location and natural beauty of the resort property are 5-star. We especially appreciated the quiet of the location away from the parking lot and the street.
