We had a wonderful time at this house!!! The private beach was outstanding and a short walk to some great snorkeling....a bit farther for some outstanding snorkeling at Tunnels. Comfortable rooms, AC worked perfectly, kitchen was well stocked...a small market 5 minutes away and a larger grocery store just 15 minutes up the road. If you're looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy time with family and friends, this is the place!!! We will very likely stay here again!

We saw a rainbow from the back balcony. It was beautiful. The beds were so good that I’m getting a new bed at home. The pillows are the best too. This house has everything you need. The outside shower came in handy. Thank you for letting us stay! The Woods family

We had a great stay. The house was private w/easy beach access & a nearby restaurant. Our favorite part of the house is the screened in patio.

We loved our stay at the Hale Haena home on Kauai! The location was perfectly peaceful and just far enough away from the crowds of Hanalei but still close enough for a night out. Easy access to the beach with everything we could need. We rarely saw anyone else on the beach. The house was comfortable and perfectly clean. The only slightly negative comment is that it took us a long time to find the washer/dryer on the porch! due to the humidity outside and it being a front-load, the washer did have a little musty smell but we had no issues when using it.

Great rental. This part of the island is our favorite and most beautiful.Really enjoyed having air conditioning available in the bedrooms. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of nice beach chairs. Note that there is a car that may be parked in the driveway - this is the owner's car that remains there. We were afraid we were at the wrong house upon arrival at dark.Did not cook, but had everything one would need.Being on the north shore, there are periodic power outages, but power restored quickly. Internet was great. Could stream television while kids also streamed/used iPads/computers.

The beach was great to sit by and relax, but was advised that it was a little treacherous for swimming and/ or surfing. I liked the remoteness of the house and it felt like I was in the middle of a jungle. I would definitely rent this house again.

The property was in a great location, as our family likes the feel of a little more isolation. Amazing views of the Mountains from the rooms upstairs. Only the bedrooms have air conditioning but opening the sliding doors on both sides of the house in the living room allowed for a great breeze. Steps to the beach and a minimal drive to larger beaches like Makua/Tunnels and Hanalei. The house sits very close to the main road, so you can hear traffic which we didn’t mind as we tend not to sleep in. Overall very clean and comfortable.
