We are a blended family with four kids between 8 and 12 and just had the best vacation of our lives...a lot of that was due to this specific house, its location and very much because of the property manager and her attentiveness and quick responses.The photos don't do it justice, the house is wonderful, the views from the spacious backyard are mesmerizing, and it is well-appointed with anything and everything you need to enjoy a family vacation. They even had beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboards and cooler bags to pack lunch for the beaches. We had a local private chef to prepare a special birthday dinner one night and even she was impressed!The walk to the beach in less than a block and the same for the walk to "downtown" Hanalei. Views of the mountains and waterfalls form the backyard and deck were our favorite, especially after a long day at the beach or hiking.The house manager, Hilary, responded to every inquiry, typically within minutes. Kudos to the owners for finding Hilary! MahaloIf you want lovely, relaxing, convenient, and beautiful, this is your place.
This is a wonderful property in Hanalei. Easy walking distance to both the beach, and "town." The private yard area is awesome, and the house is well stocked with towels, beach gear, and all the things you need to cook and socialize - even two different grills!The only downside is that this property is located on the main road. Since the house does not have AC (which I prefer), you need to keep your windows open, and acccordingly, you will have road noise. This really didn't bother us (it's not a freeway), but it might bother others - so be aware.
The house was lovely with lots of character. The location enabled us to make a fairly quick walk to the beach and an even quicker walk to town. We enjoyed the covered porch and the big yard. We did struggle a bit with no ac especially in the afternoon, but that’s nobody’s fault-we knew it going in, and it did cool down at night. We had a great stay.
The house was great and the location was incredible. A quick walk to the beach and into town. The house had chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon for easy transport to the beach. The outside shower was very useful to clean up and keep sand out of the house.
Gorgeous house and property with great location to explore north shore. Very clean and well stocked with lots of room to spread out. The only negative is poor lighting in the dining and living room. Highly recommend and will stay again when we return to Kauai.
We had a great, very comfortable stay in this beautiful home! So close to the beach, we did the about 5 minute walk to the beach at least once daily. Hanalei town was extremely close as well, groceries, coffee and shave ice from JoJo's were our most frequent walks. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything needed to enjoy our vacation! The yard was so beautiful and full of many different plants & trees. Hilary the house manager was super responsive and super helpful! We'd love to stay there again if we ever get back to Kauai!!!
We had three families stay at the house for a week and had a great time. Great location and the house is well appointed. And the property manager and host were both great, answering questions quickly and provided everything that we needed!
Can't say enough good things about this rental. Loved the historic feel of the home. Beautiful and spacious grounds perfect for running kiddos. Postcard view from the lanai. Easy walk to town or beach—the best of both worlds. A great home for groups, with three separate spaces (2 sets of two rooms on the main floor and a primary suite on the second floor). Abundant supplies for beach-going, including chairs, boogie boards, surf boards, wagon, even strollers. Nice, well-stocked kitchen. The highway noise didn't bother us, and the home was breezy and cool in the evenings, even without AC. The host was responsive and helpful. We hope to be back!

This house was a wonderful place for a family vacation! The location was perfect, and the house layout was just what we needed. The place was well stocked with everything you would need for a Hawaiian vacation!
We came to Hanalei to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The house was the perfect home base for our group of nine. Proximity to town and the beach made walking almost everywhere we wanted to go easy. The large dining room table made for an ideal family gathering spot each evening for shared meals and card games. The upstairs master suite was a dreamy spot that made my husband feel like a birthday king! The backyard is lush and lovely, with lots of space for the kids to run around and a lovely covered porch to enjoy a drink and relax when the Kauai rain blessed us.
The host was easy to reach via text and extremely helpful and welcoming. Check in and check out were a breeze. We had everything we needed to make our 9 day stay comfortable and relaxing.
Loved this home! Great common areas for hanging out together and plenty of space for teens to escape! Road was definitely loud but the beach and town are both close. We read there are over 450,000 roosters on the island so we won’t even complain about them😉. The property manager, Hilary, was very kind, responsive and easy to work with!! I would come back to stay here again!

The house is in an excellent location in beautiful Hanalei, and is stunning itself. It was perfect for our large family group of nine people. Super close to the beach and shops. Hilary was a joy to deal with during the booking and check in process, and it was a treat to meet her in person when we checked out. A truly aloha experience.
The home was just as described with beds for everyone and lots of space for hanging out. The beach gear provided by the host was very good and we put it to good use. The beach was close and easy to get to and the teenagers enjoyed how close it was to town. We cooked in most of the time and took food to the beach for lunches. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this place.
