While we had a wonderful trip and would stay in this unit again, there are some things you should know before booking this unit. The location is amazing, but this unit needs some TLC. The beds are very hard. While our bed had a mattress topper, we actually had to go out and buy one for our daughter’s bed as she couldn’t sleep on it. And our son’s girlfriend had to sleep on couch cushions on the floor rather than on the bed. There are few amenities in the unit. While they did provide great beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, coolers and even a beach wagon, there was only laundry soap for one load, 3 garbage bags, no condiments, cooking oils, spices of any kind, no foil or baggies, one sample size shampoo, conditioner and soap for each bathroom, one sponge and a small bottle of dish soap. As we were there for two weeks, we had to go out and buy everything, and for the price we paid, those should have been included. The carpet needs cleaning, as do the couch and chair cushions. We also experienced cockroaches. We ended up leaving the trash outside whenever we left for the day, but we still found them in the kitchen and in the master bathroom. We should have contacted the management company and we didn’t, and that’s on us. A little cleaning and more amenities would provide a nicer stay for guests.
The condo was clean and spacious and the common areas were beautifully kept with tennis courts, golfing and recreation rooms available. The pool was lovely and there was a beach, a grocery and a number of nice restaurants and retail shops all within a five minute drive. Parking was a bit tight, but otherwise we loved it.
Location was good. This unit was not spotless in terms of cleanliness, but not terrible. At the price per night, my expectations were higher. The kitchen is not well equipped (dull knives, not enough dishwasher detergent, only 2 kitchen towels provided, about 1 tsp of salt/pepper, and only 3 bowls!).
Technically can sleep 8; felt full with 2 couples and 3 kids. Three bedrooms upstairs, 2 with queen beds, 1 w two twins. One rollaway cot with an awful mattress and a sofa bed which we did not use. Main bathtub drain very slow. There are only 6 dining chairs (yet sleeps 8?!) Zero beach equipment included with the property. Also wouldn't hurt to add some hooks or someplace to hang wet towels and such as there were none and the rules forbid hanging things outside.
We loved the pools at Waikoloa Colony Villas, and the fact we were in Hawaii on a vacation!
We had the most wonderful time in Waikoloa Colony Villas 0805. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and we always have the most amazing vacation.

We stayed with family and friends with a total of 8 people. Overall the stay was comfortable. The condo is old and was a little dirty when we arrived. There was a roach problem in the kitchen which wasn’t terrible as long as we kept our food in containers and ziploc bags. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and utensils. There were some supplies in the bathrooms to get started. The condo also supplied some beach toys which was appreciated.
Parking for the second vehicle was a problem on some nights when the lots were full but not too terrible. There are two nice beaches close by within 5 minutes of driving. The local pool was nice but lots of rules about noise which may not be suitable if bringing little kids. The check-in and check-out process was easy and the property manger was very accommodating when we requested early check-in and late check-out.
The local grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants are all within 5 minutes of the condo (driving).
Overall it was a decent stay and we had a great time.

Giving a ONE star for this house , because the house was very dirty.
This rental was clean, easy to access, everything in working order, we loved so many things about our stay in this condo but we have one suggestion; please provide more helpful items in the kitchen. This home had dishes, silverware, pots and pans but not much else in the way of regularly used items.
We assume most folks renting this condo are flying in and unable to bring basic items one might use in the kitchen. Such as spices, even just salt and pepper would have been helpful. Dish towels cloths and hand soap would have been nice.
Vacation time is precious and the inconvenience of purchasing regularly used items that will be thrown out in a few days, not to mention the extra cost incurred to purchase items made this group frustrated.
In addition, it's worth mentioning that the cost of renting this condo is fairly high compared to other locations we've rented that offer more kitchen items.
Step up your game on providing the basics and this would be a 5+ star place to stay.
