Great location. Nice pool area. The Hilton pass was a big plus! Walkable to shops and restaurants, BUT: be aware that outside lighting on the street is non-existent after dark. The listing should mention the steep stairs and that the unit is on the second floor. Cleaning could be better… we had to wipe food crumbs out of the fridge and wash the coffee pot. We also did some scrubbing on the more suspicious carpet stains which came out nicely. The floor around the toilets should be addressed, as well as the bathroom vent which is clogged with dirt and lint. There was still dried toothpaste beside the bathroom sink. We reached down into the vent on the dryer and removed handfuls of packed lint which seems like a fire hazard. I purchased and left a couple of extra mugs so we wouldn’t have to wash dishes after every cup of coffee or tea, and we also purchased toilet paper which we didn’t mind doing. Lighting is a problem, especially over the dining room table and in the master bath where the vanity lighting is very dim. Another lamp in the living room area would be great also. Plan to bring your own blow dryer. One of them is about 3 inches long and overheated after about 10 seconds, and the other doesn’t blow hard enough to dry anything. This rental has so many things going for it. A little tlc would take it right over the top!
Family trip with 19 and 27 year old daughters in mid July 2025. The house was clean and in a perfect location. Check in process was smooth and we loved the living area so we could sit around at the end of the evening talking about our day. Communication with Amy was easy and she was quick to respond to our questions. We will be back for sure!
Our host, Amy, was very communicative & accommodating. Thank you, Amy!
This is our second stay at the unit and we LOVE it. The location is superb - close to the shops and A Bay. The beds are all very comfortable and so is the AC. Amy, the host, was very easy to communicate with. The unit is also close to the pool and that is such a perk. We would always choose to stay here when visiting.
We enjoyed our stay in Waikoloa Beach Villas, with our three children. The loft area functions as a third bedroom that two of our kids shared. The pool and hot tub area were nice, the entire property was well-maintained and quiet. This unit was relatively clean (we saw a couple of dead bugs but this is expected in Hawaii and to me indicates that they spray regularly). It was overall well-maintained and comfortable. Although we didn't end up using it ourselves, the Hilton pool pass is a cool extra perk. There were only a few issues that we encountered: 1. The garage door opener didn't work so it took us some time to figure out how to open the garage. The keypad also didn't work and none of the provided keys opened the back door of the garage. Eventually, we had to replace the batteries in the opener on the keychain with one that we happened to have in a headlamp. 2. There was some mold growing in the shower of the master bathroom. Again, this is normal for humid climates but I would think could be managed better in between guests. 3. The rug in the kitchen area seemed old/dirty and needed a good washing. 4. Minor issue, but the squeegees in the two showers were old and cracked and need to be replaced. Otherwise, this was a great stay and we would happily come back here again in the future.
The AC worked amazing. Pool was fun and the location is perfect. Communication with the owner was easy and they were very fast!
We had a great stay! There is shopping, food, and beaches close by and we really had a great time!
We appreciated the manager, Amy. Who was very responsive. The unit is a little tired but this is understandable given the age and challenges getting trades for renos. The complex is very well run and conveniently located. Could use sharper knives, a few new pots and pans and new linens. Good service overcame many of these issues for us.
The condo was great! The two bedrooms were comfy and had plenty of room, and the extra loft bedroom was a pleasant surprise in how large it was. It gave the kids a place to hang out away from me and my wife. The lanai overlooked the pool, which made for a nice opportunity to grill steaks while kids went for a swim. Overall it was pretty well equipped, including rice cooker and coffee maker. (essentials for enjoying poke and Kona coffee!)The Hilton pool pass was fantastic for the kids. It’s just a short drive away from the property for access to a massive pool and lagoon complex. Highly recommend taking advantage, even if only for a couple hours…there’s even a dolphin show/experience! Just be ready to walk as the Hilton property is huge and the pool is on the far end. Finally, being across the street from Queen’s marketplace is super convenient. The poke at the grocery is great and there’s a decent amount of shopping available. The criticisms: the equipment in the garage wasn’t particularly useful and made it a little tough to park a minivan. The bikes had flat tires and a lot of the toys and beach stuff were just piled against the walls. Also, the laundry expectations were challenging given the 10am checkout time. Trying to wash three sets of bedsheets plus towels makes for a stressful and difficult checkout morning.
I booked the property back in November of 2024 for a stay in January of 2025. At that time the Hilton Pool Passes were advertised with the rental property. We were never informed of the change that the owner of the property DID NOT renew the Hilton pool passes for the 2025 year. I wasn't told about it until I sent them a message regarding where to find the passes. If I had known this ahead of time I would have looked at others listing that still included it. My family was pretty disappointed. But other than that, the stay was ok I guess.
We've stayed in the Waikoloa Beach area many times, and this unit is situated very close to to the King's Shops and Queen's Marketplace. This makes shopping and dining very easy, a quick walk across the street. The unit was clean and spacious, with a good size lanai with a built-in BBQ grill. We would definitely stay here again!
Very comfy unit. Better than the pictures look. Myself and kids enjoyed the pool and stay at the unit. Very easy, Manager was very accomodating and responsive.
We had a great stay and will stay again in the future! The condo was great for our family of 3 with plenty of extra room. 4/5 cleanliness was only because carpet & countertops & outdoor grill are a bit outdated but as far as the hosts are concerned it was completely set up and ready upon our arrival with fresh linens, plenty of towels, extra clean sheets etc. The garage was a great feature as was the passes to Hilton pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was a breeze and host was responsive and accomidating
Loved the property and felt very well taken care of
We loved this property! The condo was clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and was in a great location! The Hilton pool pass was an added bonus that we enjoyed! We will definitely come back and stay here again when we visit the big island!
We stayed at this property for our entire vacation on big island.
The location is great, you are right across the street from a shopping center which includes a market and the size of the house was perfect for our family to stay comfortably.
My only complaint was the overall cleanliness of the place. The carpet in the house is desperate to be replaced (or at least deep cleaned) and the washer even had mold on it. We still enjoyed our stay, despite this.
Great place. Great location. Pool access at Hilton is great. Can tell it’s a scoche used but still great.
This was a wonderful stay for our family. We have a 10 yr old and 6yr old. The loft area with the pull down bed had a TV and offered a perfect spot for them. On the main floor are the other two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and living area. The garage was equipped with beach cruisers, umbrellas and a few noodles.
We’ve been to the island over 20 times (my step dad grew up here) and are very familiar to the area. Our kids love A bay which is very close.
The day passes to the Hilton were a great feature for the kiddos. I would recommend driving there if you have kids, the walk could be a bit much in the sun. Essentially you check-in at a desk by the pool and are given brackets to use for the day. You also have access to towels and loungers for the day. The Hilton has water slides, food/drink for purchase and a few pool options.
My only small recommendation is a slightly later check-out time. Since guests are asked to wash all the dishes/and put away, do the laundry and put away, checking out at 10 is a bit on the right end.
Great location, comfortable condo with super comfy beds, ample towels, lovely patio with grill. Community pool was very nice. Hilton pool pass was a really nice extra. Walkable to the Kings and queens shops and restaurants.
Have plenty of space for 6 people. Note there is stairs rightvat the entry so if you have elderly be aware. Great spot for if you have abilty to drive yourself places like we did. Loved the pool. Loved having the pass. The pass was more than worth the stay as we used it a couple times. Saw turtles and fish galore. Also wnjoyed the calm lagoon its located on for my 4 year old son. Grocery store accross the street was awesome for food. We ate there with their selections a couple times. Got a tattoo from Eddie accross the rlstreet in the same outdoor mall. Local eats here are great. Cooked on the lanai on the grill and it was awesome witha working hood. Had an amazing stay. Would come back if available. Host was kind and attentive. Thank you Amy!
Ohana enjoyed the home away from home
Wonderful stay - everything we needed for a stay at Waikoloa village. Easy check-in, spacious and confortable, great access to Waikoloa shopping, swimming, beaches, and awesome to have Hilton guest passes.
Unit was exactly as advertised and we had a great stay. Would definitely stay here again!
The location of this property is excellent. And the bonus of the loft was an exceptional find. We loved how much space the unit had. We were disappointed in the overall cleanliness. No doubt sanitizing must have occurred since the area smelled like strong chemicals when we arrived. But the actual cleanliness was lacking. Heavy layers of dust on many areas of the unit including light switches and other high touch areas. Having to participate in doing our own bedding laundry in anticipation of the next guest was also a bit much.
