Wonderful week in Hawaii—this location was set apart by it amazing pool and gym area overlooking the ocean, tennis/pickleball courts, beautiful view of the golf course and ocean from the lanai, very comfortable beds, beautiful and well decorated home, stocked kitchen, air conditioning (wasn’t expecting that in Hawaii), proximity to amazing beaches (Kia Bay was our favorite), and well stocked garage with lots of beach gear (snorkeling masks/fins, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, cooler, tennis rackets). I recommend stopping at Costco to stock up on your way from the Kona airport to the property.
We couldn't have been more pleased with this condo unit and the community of Hali'i Kai. Everything was pristine and beautiful. The condo was so clean and well equipped and the location was unbeatable. We enjoyed the pool and restaurant/bar daily and the sunsets from there are spectacular. We also enjoyed the golf course.

This property (10E) was perfect for our family of four. It was in a great location in the resort--close to the pool and had a wonderful grassy area for our grandson to play.
We would definitely stay here again.

The propery was as advertised - if not nicer. Very well equipped and close proximity to the clubhouse. We didnt need to purchase any additonal items during our 4 night stay. The lanai had a great view across the golf course to the ocean. We didnt spend a lot of time inside, but we would've been very thankful to have stayed here if the weather was suspect.
We used the clubhouse a few times and had a great time (live music), but you better get there early to get a chair to watch the sunset. The fitness center, while not large, has a stunning view.
Location was great for getting most places on the island. Volcano's was a jaunt, but that's about it. Dont miss the Manta Ray snorkel (or scuba)! For future renters - we did try the grocery store in Waikoloa Village, but didnt find the prices much better than the close by markets.

The interiors were spacious and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. This ground floor unit allowed easy access to the lawn out back which was great with our kids. In the garage we found beach chairs, snorkel gear and boogie boards which were enjoyed by all. We left some water socks for the next renters to use at some of the amazing beaches and tide pools. Mahalo for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back.
We loved having the Ocean Club just down the street. Views from the patio were amazing. The beach toys in the garage were a huge hit. Super helpful trip assistance from the concierge as well. Overall, very responsive and helpful.

We had stayed at a Hali'i Kai garden unit back in 2013 and fell in love with the location. I must say that Unit 10E made this particular family trip to the Big Island spectacular. Awesome views of the golf course, ocean, and unbeatable sunsets from the lanai. Walking distance to the pool which has a great restaurant and drinks. Ask for Kathy, she's awesome. Beautifully decorated unit with everything you could need for your stay including snorkel gear, chairs, coolers, and beach towels. We enjoyed cooking our meals. There's lots of cooking items, spices, etc, including some we added, ha ha! Our adult kids were happy having their own rooms, there's lots of space to spread out. Wifi worked great for those moment we "had" to work and the whole check in/out process was seamless. I could go on and on about our stay! Thank you for a great vacation, we will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to stay in this unit and with Kona Coast again. Hopefully it won't take us 9 years to return the next time around!

What a great location for a tranquil and relaxing vacation. This property was ideal for our family of five. The master bedroom has a very spacious closet and very big bathroom area. I would suggest a built in small vanity mirror, but not a problem. Our middle daughter said she “loved her bedroom” which has a comfortable queen sized bed. The third bedroom with the twin beds need softer mattresses according to our other girls. We loved the Hawaiian decor and the the tv in living room has a great sound system. The kitchen is also well stocked with seasonings and we were able to enjoy grilling on the back patio which had a very lovely view of the ocean and gorgeous sunsets. It’s also a close walk to the ocean club. Thank you for the books available for us to enjoy!

The unit and amenities exceeded our expectations with its ohana spirt and attention to detail. The unit was perfectly located, clean, well stocked, and integrated hawaiian spirit. Nearby there are amazing beaches like Hapuna Beach. And if your feeling adventurous you can take the lava trail from the resort to Black Beach for great snorkeling (20m hike or 10m drive with very little public parking). I recommend other snorkel trips south of Kona then enjoy time at the pool. Talking about pool, it’s beautifully located on the water. Although never crowded, it can get a bit loud with the kids. Having kids it didn’t bother me but for those without….and the community restaurant was our 3 best dining experiences. They treated us like family, great drinks, and a menu for all including a fresh catch of the day. We ate at other local restaurants but it felt like “island time” and we usually left disappointed. My standards are genuinely pretty high and this exceeded all expectations. Now onto Maui….aloha.

Absolutely love Hali’i Kai 10E. Already booked it again for our trip next year. 4th year in a row. Let the owners know that if they ever want to sell, we would save them a real estate commission by buying it. Absolutely fantastic!!
