Kimberlee was awesome and easy to communicate with. She was super helpful and had everything we needed for our stay available. Her home was super spacious and beautiful. We love the lani for breakfast and dinner. Can’t wait to come back next year! :)
Such a clean and cozy home! You can tell the hosts take great pride in it, and we were grateful they shared it with us. The AC in the room worked great, and even with the road nearby, we had no trouble sleeping. The location is excellent with a nice walk along the course and beautiful views of the mountains. The host was both communicative and friendly. Highly recommend!
Lovely home, very roomy and the host is very attentive. Only downside is the road noise for light sleepers.
Beautiful island decor in every space. Delightful host owner! She gave us wonderful tips about the island and even has a custom notebook binder with all of the wonderful things to see. My experience in this place felt like magic.
Kimberlee has created a true oasis. Before you even enter her property you will encounter a whimsical, tiny garden in the true spirit of Hawaii. Kimberlee loves gardening and most definitely has a “green thumb”. You will find local plants inside the residence that make her apartment inviting, cozy and very comfortable. We stayed with our 14 year old daughter and Kimberlee graciously allowed us to use the upstairs bedroom, which our daughter referred to as her “tree house”. You will find everything you may possibly need for a comfortable stay. The apartment is fully furnished, and the kitchen has everything one may need to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kimberlee even provided beach towels and beach accessories such as beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. The place was clean, bright, and wonderful. I ran out of books to read and started reading one of the books I found at the apartment. Kimberlee found out that I did not finish it in time and generously gifted me the book. She also accommodated our late arrival and very late departure by allowing us to stay as long as we needed. Our family truly appreciated that. Kimberlee is an amazing hostess and I would highly recommend her place.
We had the best time and everything was made so easy. Great communication from the host and she was very kind and flexible. We loved the pool area as well! So clean and quiet!
Staying at Kim's home in Hanalei was an absolute dream.. The setting is nothing short of breathtaking—lush greenery, stunning mountain views, and the calming sounds of nature all around. It’s incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind and truly relax.The home itself is beautifully maintained with thoughtful amenities that made our stay so comfortable. From a well-stocked kitchen to relaxing outdoor spaces, everything was just right. The bed deserves a special mention—it was unbelievably soft and cozy, and we slept better than we have in ages.This home is a true gem, and we feel so lucky to have experienced it. We would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for tranquility, comfort, and beauty in Hanalei. We already can't wait to return!
Kimberlee made our stay unforgettable! From check in to check out, Kimberlee made sure that we had everything that we needed. Her home was perfect for a couples getaway. The amenities and cleanliness were top notch. Being right in Princeville made it walkable to beaches nearby, the shops in Princeville, and sunsets from the lookout. A short drive to all the activities the north shore has to offer. The balcony was perfect for morning and evening book reading while watching the golfers. If and when we come back, we’ll be coming back to Kimberlee’s piece of paradise!
My wife and I stayed at Kimberlee's rental home for about a week. We had a wonderful time! The location is very convenient to visit the state park and Hanalei Bay. Being from a cooler climate, the AC in the bedroom made it very comfortable to sleep at night. Kimberlee went above and beyond in making sure our stay was comfortable. She was very responsive when we asked questions. When I asked if a meat thermometer was available for grilling, she bought one and dropped it off the next day! We would gladly stay again.
Kimberlee was a great host and the house had everything my fiance and I needed for the week. She has snorkel equipment, boogie boards and a variety of beach items. Kimberlee was kind to be flexible on check-in and check out times. The pool and spa that are on-site were great. One thing to note is that if you are noise sensitive, the property is alongside the road. Overall it was a great experience and was centrally located to the beaches, very close to the walking path and golf course and is close to many things within Princeville.

Kimberlee's place was very tastefully arranged and organised, with plenty of little attentions. The space was large for a one bedroom, and we found most of the comfort we were looking for. She was very easy to communicate with and the check-in and out processes were very easy.The only watchout we'd advise to keep in mind is that the construction, as is pretty common in Kauai, includes venitian blinds as walls to let the air in (when opened). This means the sound insulation isn't ideal (to no fault of the owner, it's just the architecture of the area), and since you're staying near a small road, you're likely to want to use earplugs at night if you're sensitive to noise in the evenings/early mornings. We did ok, and again it's a fairly standard construction standard on the island, so you're likely to find this in most places you rent. But better be a little prepared!
Just stayed for almost a week in Kimberlee's place in central Princeville. It was great! We travel a ton, so feel we have pretty good context to compare and this was a top notch experience. Kimberlee was a great host! Highly recommend this rental.
Hard to find properties, you need to live here to know how to find yoyr unit, absolute no parking available unless the host makes their assigned parking spot available for use, oir host did not. Our assigned parking was used and we didotn have a place to park, major inconvenience. Hard to find the unit even with instructions from host, GPS puts you on other side of property. Not the best place to stay for 1st time visitor's, this is more appropriate for current residents. Not very accommodated.
This was my fourth time staying in Kimberlee’s beautiful spot on the north shore. It’s has become an annual tradition. Her place is beautiful with tall ceilings in the bedroom and a private bath. The porch looks out over the eucalyptus trees on the gold course and it’s close to a nice walking path that you can take down to the water. Comfortable mattress and soft sheets, windows with beautiful view and nice cross breeze. But the thing I love most about staying here is Kimberlees’s generous hospitality. She is a wonderful host and always makes me feel at home. She has great recommendations for surf spots and is a kind and welcoming host. Even when my flight home was canceled, she welcomed me back for an extra night. I look forward to many more stays here at Kimberlee’s lovely spot! Thank you!

We stayed for a few days and had a really good time. The place is clean, cosy, and in a great location. The host is very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!
This was my third time staying at Kimberlee’s place in Princeville and us usual it was wonderful! The location is great being right in the middle of the north shore. The room is beautiful with tall ceilings, lots of windows providing a nice cross breeze. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets are soft. Access to a nice porch with gorgeous views of the golf course and mountains surrounding Hanalei. But what I love most is Kimberlee, she is the perfect host and always makes me feel right at home. She’s also a great reference for surf spots and beaches. I always enjoy my stay here and I look forward to many more visits here.
The host was responsive when needed. The property was conveniently located for our needs. It is nice to be able to hike to beaches.
My family and I stayed in Kimberlee’s rental for 10 days. This unit was not professionally cleaned (despite a hefty cleaning fee). There were pests on countertops and in silverware drawers, the owner had expired and moldy food in the fridge and the fridge itself was dirty. She claimed she didn’t clean a top shelf but the cleanliness and health concerns extended beyond a top shelf. There was a dishwasher advertised in the listing but it didn’t work and no one was sent to fix it. She offered for her granddaughter (since she was out of town) to do our dishes—not sure how many guests would feel comfortable contacting a host’s granddaughter to come in repeatedly during a stay to do dishes. Furniture was old/not maintained, the bed was uncomfortable, and the road noise was loud even with fans and a noise machine.
This is the owners home and half of the lanai is blocked with her belongings and there is limited closet/shelf space for travelers. The shelving available was broken. We expressed our concerns to Kimberlee soon after arrival and while she felt bad, little was done.
Since we were traveling a distance with an infant we wanted to avoid moving rentals but as the issues began piling up, we saw no other option. When we asked for a refund for our remaining dates, she denied our request. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway that meets basic health/cleanliness standards, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
