We loved everything about this place, especially the location- ability to walk to the black sand beach for sunrises and seeing the sea turtles, and easy drives to Hilo and Volcanoes NP. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed.
Condo was the perfect location for Volcano National Park which was the main reason for our visit to the Big Island - a bonus was the black sand beach within walking distance. There was an issue with cleaning which is the reason for the reduced stars. HOWEVER, I am sure that it was an anomaly and the owner was very communicative and corrected the situation in a timely manner. I recommend this condo and would stay there again!
Was good location for our plans! Volcano park, South point and of course the black sand beach. Condo was well appointed, nice bed, very small ocean view but could hear the ocean on the balcony. Pool area was good too. No A/C was an adjustment, the unit did get stuffy on warm days, available fans were used for most of the stay. I think the owners recognized this and did make extra efforts to aid in this common situation. It is listed without A/C so there wasn’t any miscommunication, it was just a bigger adjustment than I expected. Thought that might be noteworthy for the next travelers. All in all our trip was great and the big island great fun! Thanks for sharing your unit!
Everything was really great - the unit was clean, well appointed, very comfortable. The property is located neat Black Sand Beach which is within walking distance and a nice place to relax as were the pool and hot tub. We could hear the ocean from our unit too. The staff we met on-site were very pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely EXCEPT the garbage pick-up at 3 AM 3 times was very very loud. The unit was charming and had lovely touches.. I live on Island was was here to be close to a spiritual retreat. Have stayed in many time shares and you could tell the carer that was taken in this one! Mahalo!

Second time we have stayed in this condo complex. Although the golf course (between complex and ocean) is closed this time, you can still hear and see the Pacific. In addition this unit is at the back of the complex and there are units that the lanai looks over, the view is still relaxing and wonderful. Very clean, comfortable king bed, and stocked kitchen made for an enjoyable 8 night stay. Hosts are responsive and agreeable, and cannot say enough good things about Tiana on site - she is charming, conversant, and helpful. Loved it from retired couple traveling the world!

Great stay. My second time at the condo. Owners are great.
We are a hiking crew so being near the Volcano National Park allowed to get a couple of days of hiking there. Also Black Beach was 2 minutes away and it wasn't too far from Green Beach, also nice. We did have to drive a bit to get to Captain Cook to hike down to the memorial to snorkel but it was worth it. Tons of fish, lots of variety. The only negative is a lack of good grocery stores so load-up when you're in Kona or Hilo. Finally I thought to condo was a lot nicer in person than the pictures showed.
We love this area of the Big Island. Perfect condo with everything we needed for a nice long relaxing weekend.
It is a nice, comfortable place to stay. The balcony has an ocean view over the other buildings in the complex and is great to sit on in the morning.
The couch folds out into a bed so even though the property has a single bedroom, the living-room/dining/kitchen area can be configured as a second bedroom overnight. The bathroom is well located so it can be used from both areas.
The biggest thing that will determine if any unit in the complex is for you is location. Its a short walk from black sand beach, and a half hour drive from the volcano park. It does have a pool, hot tub and BBQs. And it is nice and quiet. A great place if you like nature and want a base for exploring the island. If you want restaurants, city activities and entertainment, and lots of nearby things to do, this is not the place for you. I have stayed in the complex before and was delighted to find this condo for this stay, so it really all depends on what you enjoy.
Did have a couple of minor issues and the owner was easy to contact and responsive. The clothes dryer wasn't working but that was solved using a paid dryer in the complex laundromat. The washer is quite small so using the laundromat may be a good idea for larger amounts of laundry anyway. Also worth noting that fridge has a rather loud hum when the compressor is running that may be an issue for someone sleeping the in living-room (cant hear it from the bedroom).
To sum it up - would we stay there next time? A definite yes!
