Beautiful condo! Really enjoyed staying here. No a/c, which we knew, but some nights did get pretty warm. Snorkeled next to a turtle at the beach right below!
Wonderful place to stay. A little unfortunate having workers renovate upstairs of us. The beach was so close and amazing snorkeling!

This place was outstanding! The views are amazing, of course -- even better than pictures can convey. We had everything we needed and the place was spotless. The surroundings were top-shelf. Very nice pool -- nothing over the top, just comfortable; the pool looks out over the ocean, too. All the residents, including a handful of kids, were quiet and respectful of others. We can't recommend it enough!

Beautiful area to stay. The condo met all our expectations. Location was great and watching the ocean and sunsets was wonderful.
Our group was 2 couples at this spacious, beautiful condo with amazing views. We loved being able to walk to Hideaways Beach to snorkel just below our unit. We were able to navigate the steep descent to the beach, though anyone with physical limitations might have trouble. The ropes along the sides helped us manage. We saw some whales splashing in the distance, even in May! We made good use of the two lanais, having most meals outdoors and used the private BBQ. The pool is great and big enough to enjoy with others present. Note that there is only one portable AC in the back bedroom, that was too noisy to use. The primary bedroom temp was ok with opening the slider and using the fan. In warmer months, it could be too hot. We’d stay here again and highly recommend it.

The property is at a very nice location in and neighborhood in Princeville. We enjoyed our stay watching the ocean. Cooking and spending time on the deck during the evenings..!! What else to ask for..!!
The location and view at this property was unbelievable. We loved watching the surfers each morning off our balcony at Hideaway beach and the proximity to the 1 Hotel’s coffee shop. The unit was spacious and clean.

I prefer to spread out and have living space when I vacation, rather than a tiny one-room hotel option, and the Pu’u Poa condos are just homey and cozy and Oceanside heaven. Two beds, two baths, great kitchen/dining area, fantastic living room and two breathtaking lanais with the best views you can get. I saw too many whales spraying and breaching to count, watched the fog dance around the mountain and drifted to sleep hearing the waves crash at our shore. The condo was well-appointed, impeccably clean and had a sweetly-Hawaiian/island-style decor that, while a bit out-dated, was still nice, classic and understated, and invited you to just relax and enjoy your life in that precious time and space. Check in and check out was easy, communication with management was a breeze. The new hotel, 1 Hotel, opened up in 2023 and was a fantastic next door neighbor as their restaurants are gorgeous and serve great food, and literally are a 4 minute lovely walk from the condo. I was there for breakfast and dinner every day. The Pu’u Poa condos are quiet, feel very safe and are nestled in a beautiful community. I will definitely be back!

Owners have taken care of lots of past issues. Mahalo! New patio flooring. New patio furniture. All new dishwater and cookware. Place is amazing. Yes, a little dated, but sofas are comfy. No AC, but none needed in this unit. Lots of summer trade winds keeping things super cool at night plus lots of fans! I actually slept cold! Can’t beat waking up every morning to awesome views. And magical sunsets every evening from BOTH lanais! Made you want to cook more from the kitchen! Will def stay here again.

The condo location was excellent. Great view and good size layout. Master bedroom was nice and the bathroom is huge. The beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels were very appreciated, as well as the extra bedding for the pull out couch. Accessing the condo was easy and plenty of parking. Access to Hideaway Beach and the neighboring hotel beach was super convenient. We also walked to Queens Bath trail. The kitchen was nice and very clean. The owner must’ve read the comments about the pans because they appeared very new. They were great. Plenty of dishes and utensils. The unit was overall very clean. A couple improvements would be to get rid of the lounge/rocker chair in the living room. The arms felt sticky, likely due to all the humidity. The back room window did not open up, so that is a tad claustrophobic. There were fans, though. There is no exterior lights on the patios, likely due to the complex and ensuring people don’t stay outside late and bother neighbors. It was fine for us and we BBQ’d early enough, but something to be aware of. The light bulbs in the dining light and master were glaringly bright, so we just loosened 3/4 and that made it much better. I was surprised that there is no hot tub at the pool area. That seems to be standard. But I suspect this is another way of ensuring that the place doesn’t become a party complex. I would stay here again for sure. Overall very good accommodations for our family.

From when you first open the front door you are greeted with the view! Then anywhere you look there it is beautiful ocean views. Property has everything you would ever need for your Kauai stay. They recently remodeled the lanai, so any previous comments about the bad lanai don't worry about anymore. Nice additional surprise was the pickleball courts.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our grandson’s first birthday in Kauai. The location of the condo is superb. The view from the patio is amazing. Dolphins, turtles and those sunsets were spectacular. The layout of the condo is perfect for a family and the kitchen is well stocked and very functional. My wife and I stayed at the Pua Poa 12 years ago and I remembered the spacious lanais and spectacular views. This time we traveled with another couple (all of us seniors). The unit provided us everything we needed. The furnishings were outdated, but everything was neat and clean. We are not overly picky, but the only complaint would be that the lanai was in need of repair. There were several cracked tiles and weeds popping up between the tiles that housekeeping could have easily taken care of to make things more visually aesthetic . However, our focus is on the ocean and relaxation, so we easily got passed those issues. Overall we had a great time there.

The Pu'u Poa condos are the ideal location to stay on the north shore. We had the most beautiful ocean view, a pool, and a short climb down to Hideaways Beach. #305 had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy cooking at the condo and visiting the beaches. Such a well stocked condo! The lanai could use some maintenance and lighting, but you don't notice cracked tile when you are looking at the sunset.
Perfect home base for exploring the North shore and the island of Kauai for a week. Comfortable beds and amazing view of the ocean from this property. The provided beach chairs and towels were very nice, handy for relaxing on the beach.

We had a awesome stay! Everything was perfect! We love this location and this place was no exception! The unit is perfectly stocked even with coolers, beach chairs, towels and snorkel gear. Views are incredible! We even had massage therapist come and do massages on the patios! This was a girls trip with my best friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen and grill allowed us to cook when we wanted. This was just as pictured. Ocean view, sound of waves lulling you to sleep. All amenities needed to enjoy the island including beach chairs, ice chest, sunscreen, snorkel gear and so much more. Fully stocked kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. A few negatives were that there was no beach access that we could locate , but no biggie, we just hopped in our car and drove to one and there are plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from. Also was bummed that I couldnt see a sunset, the mountain blocked it but I could catch a glimpse of it. The view, the amenities make up for it all and I would absolutely stay here again!
