We are descendants of the Sinclair/Robinson family who arrived in 1864 and purchased the island of Niihau from King Kamehameha V. The land where this house sits and all the surrounding lands, the ahupua'a of Makaweli, was purchased from Victoria Kamamalu, granddaughter of King Kamehameha I, a few years later.
