Beautiful home except it is falling apart. Huge crack in upper master deck that shows on ceiling of bottom floor, which ceiling is falling down. Dirty fridge & floors… windows dirty. Lots of empty cleaning containers left in every cupboard of house. Tile deck out front is disgusting from water dripping from above. Torn & ripped awning. Location is amazing as is the view, but the home isn’t being maintained in my opinion. The washer broke & we were charged 200$ ??? Bird poop on above ceiling, fan in master has black mold on it. I have stayed in this home 4 times, it’s sad to see it falling apart.
The house and grounds were beautiful as was the view and location. The pool was too cold to swim in, although we did try, but we were eaten alive by mosquitoes.
This our second stay at Sh'Zen and most definitely will not be our last.
My husband and I stayed in the home in 2014 when we we're married on the Garden Island and just returned from our 5 year Anniversary trip.
Feeling spoiled and it was difficult getting back on the plane to return home after 17 magical days there!
Waking up to a variety of birds singing in the morning, sipping coffee overlooking Puahele Bay and the Bali Hai Mountain range is breathtaking. Each and very sunrise and sunset was so unique.
We absolutely love the privacy this home offers.
The pool, garden area, fountain, statues and pond make for the most peaceful time when at home.
Convenient hiking right out your front door, just a stones throw down to the Queen's Bath.
The house has everything you need and the kitchen is very well appointed, with HIGH quality cookware. Absolutely everything we needed and more.
PV Eats specialty market is new, unique and wine selection and cuisine is off the chart. Gaylord's is a top recommendation too and the Mai Tai's are the best :)
Highly recommend the helicopter ride.... it was our 1st and it was amazing! As was the Catamaran trip.

The house was beautiful and in a great location. Arrangements were easy to make and the home owner was pleasent and informative to visit with.
The amenities in the home were just a added bonus to the wonder of Kauai.
Would recommend this place for anyone wishing unique experience.
This three story property right on the golf course is absolutely beautiful. You are near so many things yet when you do get into the property you feel like you are the only one there. The house is big and comfy with beautiful views. We didn't get a chance to use the pool as we were out pretty much all day but it was a nice feature to have. The house could use a bit of updating but everything works perfectly and is clean and well maintained. Communication with the property owner is excellent.
This setting is beyond imagination in beauty. Perfect for two couples. The painter among us said he couldn't live long enough to paint all the gorgeous scenes. Every day, the light played in different ways. The lap pool was so relaxing and peaceful with the breezes wafting through. The garden is magical with beautiful statuary and fountains to be discovered. Birds singing at dawn were a wonderful wake up call. We walked to the point overlooking Queens Bath a few times. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking in as well as dining out. Beach towels were provided as well as coolers. We brought our own snorkel gear and went to Anini Beach. Also did the Princeville Zipline and NaPali Catamaran. Highly reccomend both. Rainbows out the front lanai were plentiful as were gorgeous sunsets. This all made for a magical oasis of a vacation. Ben called day1 to ensure all was good. Melanie was available and responsive to any questions. We will miss this place and treasure the memories made here.
The Sh'Zen home is a beautiful place to stay in Princeville. We stayed a little over a week and would definitely return to stay here again! The home is spacious and was already very well stocked with kitchen devices, pots and pans, and sundries. The views over the golf course and the ocean are stunning. Many mornings we awoke to rainbows just outside our bedroom window - it's like a painting! The property has a big garden and pool area too that is great to spend time enjoying. The neighborhood is quiet and includes nearby access to Queen's Bath on the coast - an easy walk right from the Sh'Zen House. We stayed in July, and there was an almost constant trade wind that blows thru the home, keeping it cool for most of the day. The owner and the local property manager were in close contact with us for the whole trip; overall excellent stay and excellent service.
We loved this house! First, it was extremely clean. Next the views were to die for. The pool is great; although, we didn’t really use it as it was chilly. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a beautiful backdrop to their vacation.
We had a magical stay. The house had amazing views, lizards all over the place for our kids to catch, roosters and chickens to feed every morning, and so much privacy. In August it does get stuffy at times in the main house area and bedrooms due to no air conditioning. We used the fans inside and left to go out on adventures everyday, so the lack of air conditioning was not the biggest deal. This is a great price for location, size of house, and views. Perfect for children and families. We all had a blast and plan to come back here.
My husband and I rented this house over the holidays and it was just amazing! The view and house exceeded our expectations, the pictures are nice but the real thing is even better. The view from the living room seating area and the dining room table were incredible, we even saw some whales offshore. Every day there were beautiful sunrises, sunsets and rainbows. You can see Bali Hai, the golf course and the ocean from the house. The house is well appointed and clean, if we come back to Princeville we would definitely stay again. Both Ben and Melanie were accommodating and available by phone or email any time we tried to reach them. There were no problems with our rental and we had a great time. Highly recommended!
