First, it was a good location and the condo is well stocked. We had a little bit of miscommunication with the rental management company as the photo in the listing clearly shows a third bed, but in reality that’s a mistake that they admitted to once we checked in and got us a aerobed, I have attached a picture of what was on the website and what it was in reality, which is really just a couch. A few other issues like the Safe didn’t work, It was already in the locked position. Never really got it resolved. The condo complex was a little run down, and the pool was so-so, but a big positive is as they offer you a pass to the Poipu health club, which has a great pool workout rooms, drinks, and food, it’s like 5-10min down the road by car.
Pros:The house has a beautiful view and is conveniently located close to everything. The pool club access is also a nice amenity.Cons:The house is older and in need of renovations. While the light fixtures and appliances were functional, many showed visible rust. Towels were worn and some were stained, and we found sand in the couch on arrival. Although housekeeping was sent, the issue was not fully resolved. The host was initially dismissive of our concerns, and while some resolutions were eventually offered, they were not handled in a timely manner. These details detracted from our overall experience and left us disappointed with the stay.
We loved the property! So clean and fully stocked plus the corner unit had an amazing ocean view. Super close to Poipu and the AC's were powerful and perfectly chilly. We loved our stay and would 100% be back!
Beautiful views and comfortable condo for us and our teen. Check in and communication were easy. Beds were comfortable. Condo is in a quiet location, so we appreciated that. Enjoyed the close proximity to nearby beaches and local shopping. Regarding parking and stairs- we parked a midsize SUV in the shaded lower level ok and figured out it was easier to walk back out to the garage ramp down some steps that led behind the pool/common area and then finished the steps down to the condo rather than using the enclosed stairwell. We saw several turtles while standing on the grassy area near the hedges. We saw folks down on lava rock but given the swells when we were there, I don’t particularly recommend that, so proceed with caution. Kitchen was well stocked but probably time to replace the non-stick cookware. We bought our own coffee bean grinder but to our surprise the kitchen had one for the serious coffee drinkers. This was a great stay.
Great condo in Poipu! The ground floor end unit is convenient for walks on the lava rocks below. Nicely updated, but the mattress in master could isn't super comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

It was our favorite spot on Kauai. Hanging out on the lanai watching numerous whales everyday. Listening to the waves hit the rocks makes you sleep like a baby. Condo was updated and in excellent shape. Thanks for being home base for a perfect week in Kauai.

Ground level, end unit and closest to the water. Few people ever came into our view. We left the windows and drapes open at night to let in the breezes and sound of the ocean in.The second bedroom faced the interior and was not so lucky.We would return.
Beautiful condo with amazing views. Check in was easy. Convenient location close to everything on the southside of the island. We'll be back to stay at Poipu Makai E1 soon.
Oceanfront ground floor end unit with A/C. Not many of those available in Poipu. Sandy beaches and restaurants nearby (short walk or drive). Clean and comfortable. All amenities including beach gear. Did not use pool or club pass to comment.
A very relaxing vacation with outstanding views.
This was our third time staying in Poipu. Overall, this was our favorite location but I would not recommend staying there if you have any orthopedic issues. Only other negative issue was a mistake where we were promised a late checkout which was then rescinded. In spite of these issues, we would stay there again as the positives far outweighed the negatives.
VRBO as advertised. Spectacular view from back deck area and walking distance to Poipu beach.
The Poipu athletic club add on was wonderful for working out and taking granddaughter to the pool with large Sandy kid section.

We had an amazing stay. We had problems with the AC in the second bedroom but the property manager was on top of it before we got there. It wasn’t resolved but she quickly responded. We would definitely stay at this property again. It felt like home.
I rented this condo for our family of 5-me + husband, 2 college age kids, and our 15 yo.We needed a place to fit our family comfortably, a decent kitchen for preparing breakfast & lunch, a nice view, and wanted to be able to walk to the beach, and a/c. This hit all our wants except for bedding. Had good communication with the property management team ahead of time, particularly Mele, who was kind & helpful. This is in a small condo complex and we rarely saw other tenants the entire time we were there. Parking was ample and we never had a problem getting a spot. It is a bit tight and the driveway is very steep and we scraped the bottom of our rental car almost every time. Oops! For the most part, we were very pleased with the condo. The very best thing about it is the view. Incredible and relaxing. The "bed" for the 5th person is a joke and I let management know this within our first couple of days. I realized they wouldn't be able do anything to mitigate during our stay but NO ONE who weighs more than 40 pounds could sleep on that thing. It is very old and the "mattress" is very thin and narrow. Our son slept on the couch, which worked out ok, but should not be advertised as having a 5th sleeping spot. Kitchen is well stocked and new-ish, bathrooms older and could use remodeling, king mattress needs to be replaced (again, told mgmt while we were there.) as we had to struggle not to roll to middle. Overall, would rent again for view if bedding were upgraded

Thai condo is so nice from the soft sheets to the beautiful decor and incredible view. Location is really nice too. Plenty of places to walk to and trails along the coast. Very clean and management was helpful with any issues.
We thoroughly enjoyed the location and being close to the ocean was exactly what we wanted. We really appreciated the beach equipment and we didn’t need to bring our own gear.
This property is fantastic, and the view is amazing! We saw sea turtles swimming right out of our unit. The beds were comfortable, and so was the furniture. The kitchen was stocked nicely. We thought the location of this property was perfect. We were within walking distance of a local beach(less than a mile), and the neighborhood was a great area in which to enjoy my morning walks. I highly recommend this property.
The condo, situated right on the coast, had incredible views of life in the sea (sea turtles, spinner dolphins). The sunsets were also spectacular. We enjoyed sitting on the lania and visiting the local Poipu beaches. We would stay here again if we return to Kauai.
