We live on Maui and we decided to spend a few weeks on Kauai. Part of our time on Kauai was in this unit and we feel that we made a good choice. The development is quiet and well located. It is easy walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. The unit had nice ocean views and was well appointed. Communication with the owner was clear and responsive. The one thing to mention is that only the bedroom has AC, so if you are particularly sensitive to the heat, that is something to consider. The fans and open windows help a lot with that. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone considering visiting Poipu.
My wife and I had a fantastic stay over Labor Day weekend. The condo was well-equipped with everything we needed, offering a stunning ocean view and easy, walkable access to nearby beaches.The pool area was beautifully maintained—we especially enjoyed spending our mornings there. In the evenings, we joined others along Hoonani Road to take in the spectacular sunsets.Poipu Beach is a short drive or a longer walk away, and it was truly special to see sea turtles there at sunrise each morning. We also loved Kiahuna Beach, just a quick walk from the condo. It was less crowded than Poipu and better suited for swimming, in our opinion.A few minutes down the road is a great shopping center with excellent dining and boutique shops. We highly recommend Little Fish for breakfast and Scotty Brown’s for a tasty/healthy sit-down dinner.While there was a hiccup with the unit not being cleaned before our arrival, Jerry responded quickly and had the issue resolved right away. Though it was an inconvenience, the hosts handled it professionally and made things right. We believe it was a one-time oversight and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
The condo was very clean, just as nice as the pictures, and had a well-appointed kitchen. The ocean view from the patio was beautiful. The grounds and the pool were also nice and well-maintained. Amy and Jerry were great hosts and quick to respond to messages. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

We just spent 5 wonderful days in this property. Everything was as good or better than our expectations from the photos. The neighborhood was excellent - an easy walk to a great beach and many restaurants. The bed was comfortable and I tend to be fussy about beds. The breezes flow directly through the condo, and the ac works well in the bedroom. We slept very soundly. I would definitely book again if we come back. Amy and Jerry were lovely hosts.

The spacious property had everything we needed. Was nicely decorated and comfortable. The pool and grounds were well taken care of and very pretty. The view of the ocean was beautiful from this unit. The homeowners were great in that they corresponded ahead of time with information about activities to do and links for reservations. Also had a wonderful book with more information upon arrival.

We loved our stay. It was our first time back to Kauai in 35 years, and it lived up to the memory! The condo was conveniently located; close to beaches, restaurants and other activities, yet was quiet and serene. We loved having our morning coffee on the lanai, watching the sunrise and sunset, walking down to Poipu Beach, seeing sea turtles, Monk seals and even breaching whales. The unit was very clean and well-equipped, from the kitchen to the coolers, beach chairs and umbrellas. Our hosts were very attentive to details (they thought of everything!) and were easy to communicate with. We feel so fortunate that Amy and Jerry shared their island home with us! We hope to be able to come back soon! I would highly recommend staying here!
Great condo and superb location. Spotless, well appointed and tastefully decorated throughout. Modern and confortable. Best location, IMO. Owner communication was great before and after visit. Coming back next Spring for sure.
We really enjoyed the location, having close dedicated parking space and easy access to the pool as well as beach and pool towels, umbrellas, fans and AC in the bedroom but the cross breeze in April was amazing!. We loved being able to walk to multiple beaches, restaurants and more. We will definitely be back!!

We had an amazing stay and would come back again. The condo was beautiful and had all of the essentials and more! The beach was within walking distance and was very nice. The location was ideal and within walking distance to shopping and eateries. I would definitely recommend to stay here.
First and foremost, this property is incredibly beautiful— even better than shown in the pictures—and the location is perfect. The only things that kept me from giving it 5 stars are as follows:
Air Conditioning: The air conditioner in the master bedroom needs an upgrade. It is a portable unit connected to the outside wall with duct tape. It's really loud and inefficient due to the exhaust duct leaking a considerable amount of hot air back into the room. If this were a second-floor unit where the doors could be kept open without security concerns, the breeze might be enough for the evening and night without additional cooling, but not after the daytime heat build-up from being closed. On a side note, the door screens could use some attention as well. I’m from Texas and appreciate any A/C, but this is a million-dollar condo and should have a professionally installed unit in the master.
Cable Box: We were never able to get sound from the cable. The owner was contacted, but the problem was never resolved. This was simply a nuisance, but it would have been nice to hear the activities on the Kauai channel and local news. Streaming worked fine.
Coffee Maker: The Keurig worked well, but we bought ground coffee to save on plastic. The small 5-cup drip coffee maker took so long to brew that it would cut off at 4 cups. A new 10 or 12-cup coffee maker would make mornings a lot nicer.
Overall, I highly recommend this property.
Poipu Kapili was a wonderful place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The condo was just perfect. It was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and much more! The view from the patio is simply breathtaking. It was convenient to be garden level with a quick walk to the pool and the beach across the street, where we loved watching sunsets and sea turtles. It is close to shops and restaurants both by foot and car. The hosts were very helpful, easy to get in touch with, and very responsive. We especially appreciated their tips such as stopping at the grocery store on the way to the condo from the airport and restaurant suggestions. We also were provided beach chairs, towels, snorkeling equipmen, and coolers. This was so great for the days we spent at the beach. We are already talking about going back!
We had an amazing time. The condo was great. Loved having two bathrooms. Location was perfect. Views forever. Only complaint was not having a/c in the unit. It was very hot and humid and pretty uncomfortable. The bedroom does have an a/c unit which was our saving grace. We wouldn’t have been able to sleep otherwise.
We really enjoyed staying in this property! The host did his best to try to accommodate us to let us put our staff in the fridge and check in early. The unit is very comfy and cozy. The ocean view is gorgeous. We are sure to come back here next time.
We chose this property because I wanted a view of the ocean and an easy to access pool. The southern coastal views, and the quiet neighborhood with no road noise, was why I chose to stay here. The bedroom has a stand alone AC unit that cools the bedroom down and it’s possible to leave the screens open with louvered doors securely in place, for ventilation. Nicely appointed furnishings; we would stay here again.
This was a beautiful condo with nice ocean views and 50 yard walk to the water. It is clean and modern inside with many upgrades. The beach chairs, umbrella, snorkeling gear and cooler made for convenient day trips to the beach. The pool was never crowded and made for a pleasant way to cool off after day excursions. Jerry and Amy were very good hosts and quickly responded questions and were proactive in their communications. The only awareness is the condo does get warm during the day, although the only air conditioner isin the bedroom helps cool it down for sleeping it is a bit noisy. Reading previous guests comments helped with recommendations to open the sliding blinds in both bedroom and lanai for cross ventilation. Guests will have to decide for themselves whether it is secure enough to sleep with the doors open. Enjoy your stay. Mahalo!
This spacious condo is perfect for a relaxing Kauai vacation. It has a great location with a beautiful view of the ocean from the living room and patio. We also appreciated the 2 bathrooms and well-appointed kitchen. Hosts were available and communicative every step of the way. You can easily walk to the Sheraton Hotel beach or Poipu beach.
Stop looking. This place is heaven. View of water is unreal. Well equipped. Nice owners. Our second visit. Beautiful Breeze blows thru unit. Just perfect.

Our flights were canceled due to the Microsoft outage and they were so gracious and accommodating. They are great people with a prime spot in Poipu! Thanks to them for a great stay! Will be booking year after year with these guys!

Location turned out to be perfect, close to Seasport Divers and restaurants . The unit is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The air conditioning is only in the master bedroom.
We went to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary. The condo was huge and beautiful. They had many extras. We really appreciated the coolers as silly as that sounds. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for being great hosts.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this property in April 2024 and had a great time. The condo itself is immaculate-clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It’s location is close to the action but just far enough away that it’s easily accessible and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and a very short walk to the beach. We had a red eye flight leaving at 10PM and decided it would be more comfortable to book an additional day vs. driving around with all our luggage for 9+ hrs. The hosts graciously refunded us $100 for the dilemma and even allowed us to check in early the first day as rain ruined our prior plans! Incredible place to stay and thank you to the hosts for all the above.
