Plumeria Cottage offers a vacation of ease indoors and out. Compact yet perfectly proportioned in the vintage beach style, it is a delightful combination of convenience and charm. And, with a roomy, sunny lanai and large shaded grassy yard, it becomes quite spacious. An outdoor-shower room with laundry and plenty of room for beach items and for drying wet towels and bathing suits keeps the indoors comfortable and relaxed. The nearby shoreline access is a short walk away. The cottage also has air conditioning.
There is another home on the property occupied by our long-term tenant & his dog. He will be very respectful of your privacy & quiet enjoyment of the home during your stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Plumeria Cottage! Located on a dead-end road and across from the beach, it was the perfect place to relax between snorkeling adventures. We particularly loved the outdoor shower and the spacious lanai. A welcome basket of Hawaiian goodies awaited us when we arrived, and Property Management checked in with us to ensure that we were enjoying our visit -- much appreciated. We would love to return!

Bar none, this is the best vacation rental we've stayed in in Hawaii in 13 trips. Unbeatable location, so well-stocked, great outdoor space (especially the shower) and totally fair price for the holidays. Would return in a heartbeat. Can't recommend highly enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Plumeria Cottage. The cottage is on Puako's lone quiet road. It's not fancy which is a big part of it's charm, but it is extremely comfortable and supplied with everything we needed. Walking distance to very fun snorkeling, swimming, turtle gazing and incredible sunsets. We hope to return.

Loved everything about this place! The location is great. We walked across the street to watch the sunset every evening, always a stunning show. The house was easy to live in, equipped with everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the lanai which looks toward the ocean. There’s beach equipment, and the beaches are a very short drive from the house. There’s also a park at the end of the street where you can get in the water if you’re on the more adventurous side. The property managers are welcoming and responsive. This is our second time at Plumeria cottage and we hope to stay there again the next time we’re on the big island.

I highly recommend staying at the Plumeria Cottage if you are looking for a laid back experience away from the busier touristy locations. The cottage is located on a quiet residential street steps away from the ocean. Although the beach directly in front of the cottage is not ideal for swimming due to the volcanic rocks, it makes for an amazing sunset experience. It was also a popular place to see the sea turtles, so many! We enjoyed using the BBQ on the lanai daily, be sure to pick up your meat from Waimea Butcher Shop to support local and have unbeatable quality beef. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed and more with a well stocked kitchen, beach supplies, and toiletries. The outdoor shower was amazing with lush trees overhead. A few of our favorite things including grabbing poke bowls at Da Fish House and eating on 69's beach, hiking Pololu Valley and stopping at Gill's Lanai for the best fish tacos afterwards, and catching Kozy's Magic show! Truly and unforgettable trip, we are already looking to book our next stay at this amazing cottage.

Location was incredibly close to the best snorkeling. We also took a snorkeling tour elsewhere and were not as impressed as our little spot. Saw turtles, eels, and so many fish. Cottage had everything we needed and management was very attentive. Cottage is not very close to reasonably priced restaurants so plan on using the kitchen or traveling to eat out.

I came for a conference and did not want to stay at the hotel ,boy did I make the right choice !
This cottage is absolutely charming and quiet,well stocked with everything you need to have a wonderful time!
We cooked outside most nights and enjoyed different beaches every day.
Lava Lava Beach club and the Hale bar at the Fairmont were really nice and both close to the water.
We will definitely be back !

This place is better than described or photographed. Lots of nice amenities and ample supplies of everything you might need. Lovely and comfy bed and linens. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower! Snorkeling and sunsets across the street was amazing! Only thing that would be great to add is bicycles! We will be returning!

We had an amazing vacation at Plumeria Cottage over the Christmas holiday 2023. The cottage is located right across the street from the water, with multiple access points along the street, including a great surf beach. It’s also an easy short drive to other attractions like Hāpuna Beach State Park, Hawi (art galleries / dining) and Waimea (dining / shopping). The home was perfect for my wife and I, with a well stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook many great dinners during the week. We spent most of our evenings relaxing on the deck, listening to the waves. Robin at the management office was fantastic communicating with us both before and during our visit to ensure everything was ok. I’ve already recommending the place to friends and family and can’t wait to go back again.
