Palekaiko, meaning paradise, is our 3200+ sq. ft. home away from home situated on over an acre in a gated community. Palekaiko has three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, an office and almost 1000 sq. ft. of outdoor living space. On the property, you will enjoy over an acre of what Kona, Hawaii has to offer. There are several fruit and citrus trees, pineapple, mango, lychee, avocado and star fruit spread throughout the property. The views from Palekaiko are spectacular, with over a 180 degree view of downtown Kona and the coastline. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking 365 days a year. Enjoy the infinity edge pool as you watch the sunset or grab a float and soak up the Hawaii sun.
Palekaiko is truly a one of a kind home. All three bedrooms have ocean views with an ensuite bathroom and feature Tommy Bahama bedding and other furnishings. The two master bedrooms each have a king size bed, custom natural woven ceilings and corner pocket doors. The third bedroom has a queen bed, and the office also has an ottoman than can be converted into a twin bed.
The kitchen is well appointed, with Thermador appliances and granite counter tops. There is seating for four at the bar and seating for eight at the dining table. The kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need to create a gourmet meal. Coffee pot, blender, toaster, rice cooker and waffle maker are available. The home also features an outdoor kitchen with a DCS 30” BBQ and a fridge, so you can enjoy the sunset while you cook dinner.
The infinity edge pool is amazing. It is a solar heated black bottom salt water pool. Temperature ranges from 80-85 degrees depending on the season. At night, you can light up the pool any color you want with the color changing LED lighting.
The office is great for those that need to get some work done on vacation. A laser printer is provided for guest use as well as an iMac to surf the web or check email. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge.
For entertainment, there is a 65" TV in the main living room with a BluRay player. And each bedroom has its own TV. There are Apple TV's in the main living room as well as the two master bedrooms, so you can stay caught up on your favorite shows while you relax.
Palekaiko is centrally located in Kona, minutes from the downtown area and a 20 minute drive from the Kona airport. to Kona. There are lots of shops close by; Safeway, Lowe's, Target, Macy's, WalMart and other local grocery stores are within a few minutes away. Costco is about a fifteen minute drive. Downtown Kona is about five minutes away. There you will find plenty of places to dine.
Kona offers a plethora of activities and is the primary spot for night dives, cruises, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, coffee tasting, and beaches of all types to name a few. You might catch a glimpse of dolphins or turtles while snorkeling and kayaking in addition to beautiful tropical fish. Most of the cruises and sea adventures all pick up about fifteen minutes away from the house at the local harbor.

Palekaiko Estate is situated in a respectful gated community. There is a mandatory quiet time from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. All guests must abide by these rules. This property can NOT host events, such as weddings or any other type of gathering based on county zoning laws. The on-site host occupies the fourth bedroom and will try to be invisible during your stay. Guests must sign our contract after reservation is approved or reservation will be cancelled. 31 day rentals do not require a host.
