Overall comfortable stay, literally across the beach, beach was beautiful with calm, would definitely stay again, the coffee was very much appreciated, wish there was a toaster but they did have a toaster oven and maybe one extra roll of paper towel. Condo had everything for a nice family vacation, costco and walmart 20 min drive. Hope to come back again
Our family enjoyed our stay at White Sands Village. The condo is in a great location. We loved being able to walk to the beach and the excellent restaurant, Magics Beach Grill, was a nice surprise. We were also very close to a beach area known for its snorkeling and it was convenient to shopping and the grocery store. The condo was clean, the beds were comfortable, the patio was spacious and a great place for evening drinks and relaxing. The condo was well stocked with kitchen items and all you need for a fun day at the beach. We would highly recommend this condo for your big island trip.

We stayed for a week in March/April and had a really wonderful time. The location was so perfect - magic sands beach across the street was a constant fun-filled beach with body surfable waves and sea turtles every single day. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely when we needed a break from the crowd. We really appreciated the snorkeling gear and beach chairs that were at the apartment and used them most days. The beds were comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. We highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoy our time here. So close to the beach. I saw 5 turtles in 3 days snorkelling directly across from the apartment.
Out of the busy noise of Kona, this location is easy access with a great pool for kids and adults alike.We love the lanai for evening drinks or morning coffee, and the beds are VERY comfortable.The owner always responsive and helpful, not issues whatsoever. Thanks!
This was a very comfortable place to stay on the big island. This VRBO was probably the best equipped apartment we’ve ever stayed in. I really appreciated the Keurig coffee maker. We use one of these at home and love the five star coffee it makes. The exterior services of pool hot tub grills were all very good. In the evening, we could walk a mere 500 steps to the shoreline to see the sunsets. The beds and bedding were comfortable, and the showers were very good as well. Lots of cooking utensils we would stay here again.
The Condo was as advertised, we also took advantage to enjoy the pool, BBQ gills, and hot tub on the property. It was just the right size for our family of 4. We were very happy with the directions and instructions sent by the owners. Having the trolly/bus was a big advantage as it costs to park everywhere. A great location with several of the bays/public beaches withing a short walk or quick drive.
There were lots of pluses to the unit. Nice being right by the elevator and close to pool entrance. The shades on the lanai were great as the sun this time of year shines right in. Everything was neat and clean except prior guests left dishes and silverware not quite clean so we washed them by hand to get the residue off. It was wonderful having a regular coffee maker as well as Keurig as we don't use the pods. Beds were very comfy and we love the location and have stayed at the complex before. We will definitely be going back again.
family of 4 2 adults and 2 teenagers 14 and 17, traveled from NYC to Kona 4/19-4/29. We chose the property due to its size so we can be comfortable, boys are 6ft + and couldn’t do pullout couches anymore. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was such a huge convenience!! We also chose this property because of the proximity to the beach !! Across the street, for us who are beach bums it was perfect. And what an amazing beach!! The property was very clean although very dated. Some reno would be nice. Spotless clean, new and fresh bed sheets new towels, and completely equipped kitchen. I felt I’m walking in to my own kitchen- cuisinart toaster oven and air fryer ( new) , Keurig, coffee maker, mixer, juicer lots of kitchen utensils for anything you need. Lots of toiletries in both bathrooms. Cabinets were also stocked up. The check in process was a bit challenging, as we couldn’t get the keys out of the lock with the code .. but after fumbling around we got in.. communication with owner was a bit choppy, he asked to be texted but he didn’t respond timely .. we didn’t really need him , but still ( I guess we are spoiled by other experiences) one of days another car was parked in our parking spot and we didn’t know what to do, the guest parking doesn’t allow overnight parking.. owner didn’t respond till next day so had to figure out, no one was available ( was late) had to find the property manager, call his cl ask for permission to park the car etc. Otherwise we loved everything!!
Apartment was just as it is listed. Our only issue was that the dishes were dirty in the cupboards. We had to hand wash everything before using. The beach is 3-4 minute walk away and very convenient. You can hear the noise from the pool but it wasn't a big deal. We had an inconvenience that the vehicle we had rented was too large for the parking spot, but the manager quickly arranged parking in visitor spots which was greatly appreciated. Would we stay again? Absolutely.
Our week at magic sands was fabulous
Loved being right across from the beach. Also near free trolley stop. The pool right down stairs was wonderful with hot tub attached. Lanai was spacious with beach chairs and noodles available to use. Lots of nice people and were respectful to each other. Not close to shops but we didn’t need that except groceries. Highly recommend it. Not noisy either, even though close to road.
Great location, with everything you could possibly need for your beach vacation.
