2nd time staying at this property , would stay again!
If you’re the kind of couple who rents a convertible and opens the top every time you drive it, this could be the place for you.You can’t get closer to the ocean without being on a boat. This means unobstructed sunsets, amazing whale watching, and when you look almost straight down, lots of turtles feeding on the algae on the seawall. Right there, beyond your toes. But because it’s a seawall rather than a beach, if the wind and waves are right it can be pretty exciting — and loud. We loved it. No street noise.The unit is a studio, so the interior is cozy but the lanai is huge and the ventilation is fantastic. Also the kitchen is surprisingly large and works really well for two-person cooking.The property is more like a community than a resort with two swimming pools located across the road. This sounds bad. It’s good. They’re very nice, not mobbed, and sited in the middle of mature gardens. So when you look up from your book you’re seeing (and hearing) wind in trees, not a high-rise with five token palms. Nice, clean BBQs nearby.Finally, the hosts. Joe and Naomi were the nicest, most responsive VRBO hosts we’ve ever had. We did have an issue, and they went above and beyond to make it right, promptly. Just can’t say enough about them.
Wonderful view of Molokai and Lanai. Shared breakfast and cocktail hour on the lanai with the whales and sea turtles. Enjoyed the sound of the surf while going to sleep. Very comfortable and in a great location.
This was our 2nd time renting this condo. First time was 5 years ago on our first trip where we fell in love with the island. Only reason we hadn’t rented again was return trips we brought family. This trip was once again the 2 of us and perfect base for 2 weeks. Loved watching whales from lanai. Any suggestions would be to update the AC unit. Works great but is loud.
This is our second two week stay in this unit and we could not have been happier. It was great to be back on-island and to help LaHaina and the region recover by supporting local businesses, paying taxes and tipping well. We will certainly be back.
This condo is in a perfect location allowing the sound of the waves on the sea wall, view of turtles visiting the sea wall throughout the day as well as a view of whales playing in the distance! The lanai is a great place to hang out when not at the beach or visiting other areas of Maui.
The kitchen in the unit was well stocked with dishes and other cooking utensils. Stop at one of the local markets to pick up what is needed, including salt and pepper, and you will be all set!
I gave the location a 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons.
First, a couple of the pictures on the listing are not the same as what is in the condo. In one picture, a loveseat/sofa is shown, when the actual furniture piece is a wooden frame with cushions (this made a difference to me due to knee issues and the lower frame was more difficult to stand from). In a second picture, a stand alone inside A/C unit is shown with a different picture above the bed; the actual A/C unit is a window unit that tends to be louder than most stand alone inside units. Therefore I'm not certain the picture is of the correct unit.
The second reason for a 4/5 stars is that the unit needs a few updates. The chairs for the high top table on the lanai have holes in the seats where the bolts below the webbing have poked through. Also, the bathroom textiles could use an upgrade as they were super thin and very very rough.
Overall, the condo definitely fit my needs, and I enjoyed my stay!

We have stayed at this property numerous times, and enjoyed it very much. We love to be on the lanai watching whales, sea turtles and magnificent sunsets. The studio condo. is comfortable and conveniently appointed. We definitely plan to visit again!
Traveling to Maui for our 42nd anniversary. We want oceanfront & we got it! Big swells warning were issued so there were times we felt the waves hitting the sea wall. Whales & sea turtles did not disappoint! Unit itself could use some freshening up. Walking distance to several food/groceries/beaches. Overall we enjoyed our Maui getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Joe and Naomi’s oceanfront condo. It was wonderful eating breakfast on the lanai each day while listening to the crashing surf. We were able to see green sea turtles every day and could see whales pretty much anytime we were out on the lanai. Plus the incredible views of both Lana’i and Moloka’i islands. And don’t miss the best cinnamon rolls you will ever eat just down the road at Papi’s Ohana. The condo had everything we could ask for and we would absolutely love to stay here again the next time we visit Maui!
This unit is so close to the ocean that it feels like your on a cruise ship! It was so nice to wake up and see the sea turtles snacking below the lanai each morning. We were also lucky enough to witness 2 humpback whales breaching and showing their huge tails one afternoon. Joe and Naomi are great to deal with and answer questions in a timely manner. The bed is very comfortable too. Great stay! Thank you.
It was beautiful. alot of rules. afraid to use anything in case it broke. Tub was a little scary to use for a senior.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Condo is just as described. Can’t beat the proximity to the ocean. Fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves just below the balcony. Was nice to have the washer and dryer and kitchen appliances for dining in. Close walk to a nearby beach, stores, and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. Nice quiet place to stay!
Great accommodations, just as presented, a gem in Maui.
It was so beautiful and relaxing and everything all the reviews said it would be. The ocean is literally right off of the Lanai. The views at all the different times of the day were exquisite, the sunsets, the sound of the waves putting you to sleep at night all were so calming. We loved watching the sea turtles from the Lanai. And the condo was so comfortable with everything we needed. And, even though the beach is a 5 min walk we found when looking for other more famous beaches that the one closest to the condo was the quietest and had the calmest waves. Thank you for this lovely place for our time to get away. We needed it!

Located right on the ocean. Best views available sitting on the 2nd floor balcony. Saw many turtles, kite boarders and snorkeling. Condo was clean. Stores and restaurants nearby. Great sunsets too.

I will never forget the beautiful view from this place. Close to all the major places in Lahaina area and you get your own parking space which is a hard to find in Hawaii. Great place for a couple to relax and enjoy seeing turtles everyday from your own lanai (balcony).

Overall was a beautiful 10 days in this condo right on the water in Kahana. Wonderful sleeps listening to the ocean and the bed was great.

Great view of of the sun setting over Molokai and Lanai from second story balcony. Convenient location. Parking space right at the bottom of the steps. Convenient access to the highway. Just north of Lahaina. Close to great snorkeling in Honolua Bay. Not very big, but a great home base for your daily excursions on Maui.

The view in this studio is to die for! You open the door and the first thing you see is the ocean. Literally right on top of the water! We watched turtles non-stop from the lanai. Everything you need is in this perfect little condo and the hosts are wonderful! It was truly a perfect stay.
