Stayed here several times, and this home is always great.
This was our second time staying at this property, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else on the Big Island. The house is right on the water with a huge west facing, partly covered deck - this is the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee, watching the surfers and the pods of yellow tangs nibbling at the waters edge, and taking in the beautiful sunsets in the evening. They have added a swing seat hear which makes it even more relaxing.Location is ideal - far enough out of Kona to be away from the crowds and traffic, but close enough you can be at restaurants and downtown with a 10 min drive. Safeway is a 15 min drive away.The house has everything you need (including ample beach equipment), was spotless, and check in/out was a breeze. Host is very responsive and helpful. 100% recommend!!
Beautiful view and accurate pictures. We had a pleasant stay. It was nice having an extra half bath also. The kitchen was well stocked and also fresh fruit was left on the counter for us! I do wish they had more of a privacy/sun shade curtain in the master bedroom. Overall our stay was very nice, and we would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely Fantastic....my wife and I have been vacationing on this strip of Ali'i Dr for over 20 years (at several different VRBOs) and this place lives up to all the reviews. The house is beautiful, clean and is so private for the location. We struggled daily with leaving and getting in the car. Why go anywhere else?If you are a stop at Costco first vacationer, the house is stocked with almost everything you could need - zip locks, paper towels, batteries, tupperware, etc. The only kitchen tool we couldn't find was a meat thermometer for grilling.On a side note: Kahalu'u bay snorkeling has more volume of fish/turtles and types of fish then 20 years ago. The Reef program is doing an amazing job.If you're looking for Aloha, book it, this place delivers.
Everything was as advertised. Exceptional location and layout with view of water everywhere on the location. Well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommend.
“A” Location and perfect accommodations. The owner has thought of every detail you could want. I am a retired officer from a World wide hotel company and this cottage exceeded my high expectations. Yvonne the owner was a pleasure to work with. Will be back again.
Oh how we love to return to Kona Moana Hale! This property has been a favorite of our for years. The cottage is spotless and the location is wonderful - close to what we feel is the perfect beach for snorkeling. Combine that with an owner who clearly cares about visitors, a lanai with fabulous views and a Hawaii area that restores souls...it results in wonderful memories.
We have rented more than 20 VRBO units in and around Kona, over nearly 30 trips, and this was an absolute dream! We used all of the space, and basically lived on the lanai. Quiet, private, and had everything we could have needed!
This was one of the best properties we have stayed at. We would definitely stay here again. Great location, great views. Absolutely loved our time here.
Third stay in as many years and more on the horizon. Attention to detail of the house and property upkeep, which is difficult when right on the ocean.
Exactly as reserved…phenomenal location and everything you need to have the best stay possible. Owner allowed us to extend our checkout time. just had a fantastic stay! Btw, right on the water! If you like to cook, the bbq allows you to do that! From the porch swing we saw local fish and whales, Magical! Perfect 10…Mahalo

Everything about our stay was perfect! The location was great, close to restaurants or other activities, but we found ourselves not wanting to leave the property. It was so relaxing to sit on the beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and read. We loved the swing couch! The owner has thought of every detail/need - even yoga mats! We loved having dinner at sunset on the deck while watching the surfers. We even saw a whale on our first and last evenings!
The only reason I would suggest that you not stay here is that I want it available for us next time!!
