Immaculate and beautifully updated. Best view of sunsets and perfect for whale watching from lanai. We loved our stay!
Arrived to find previous occupants had left the air on with windows open. This brought moisture into the unit and leaving a musty smell. Part of our group could not stay because of health issues so they got a hotel room. The tv was nonfunctional also so we let the owner know of the issues. He was able to bring the cleaning crew in and had the tv replaced. He was responsive to the issues and made things right. Nice quiet location and enjoyed the stay for the most part.

The place was not very clean, shower is dirty, old appliances and place needs upgrade. Every time I cooked roaches came up the side of stove it was disgusting I was killing roaches while trying to cook. I am fearful roaches in my personal belongings. I was also surprised we had to wash all the towels. I’ve never stayed in room that I had to do laundry. Someone let themselves in our unit while we were there and walked in saying he didn’t know we were occupying the room. This place needs complete remodel and spraying for roaches weekly do the come out of units

The unit is spacious and located in a well-kept resort. The pools and grounds are lovely and the view is great. The ocean is very nice to listen to from the bedrooms.
The place needs a deep-cleaning, windows are dirty, master bath shower is grungy, found a used mask and a sock beside the bed, appliances all work but the washer is so noisy you can’t have a conversation in the living room when it’s running. A/C works but not super cool and it’s noisy. The slider going to the Lanai is hard to work, needs two hands to open and close, and the screen is equally uncooperative, the tub drain is slow. It’s just stuff that is not great but the price is not the highest either, so I guess you get what you pay for.
They provided two garbage bags and two rolls of tp and no paper towels. Four of us stayed 11 nights and seriously it is not as if we would take extra supplies home in our luggage. If you want people to remove garbage and recycling it would be prudent to provide them bags. We made do and hauled it off, but I have never, ever had to buy garbage bags in a rental unit.
The owner asked us to let the plumber in on a day we would be out and then we no longer had a functioning toilet in the master bath. The owner has agreed to refund part of our fee, but this should never be part of a vacation.
Bottom line is, it’s a fair price for a B- unit. It feels like the owner is doing the bare minimum in maintenance and cleaning but the location is great.
We booked this unit last minute due to a change to our travel to Maui. This property is older and needs some maintenance. I will give the staff who maintain the common areas (bbq, man-made beach and outdoor seating) props for their care and attention. They were out in the early mornings attending to these areas. The condo itself is dated and would benefit with a thorough cleaning. Kitchen and bathroom tiles are cracked, ceiling fans draped with dust, the ensuite shower door appears to have either dirt or mold around the outer edges. On the third day of our stay, the property had a scheduled water shutoff for necessary maintenance.
After the water was turned back on, we lost the use of hot water. I emailed the owner, with no response, so we had cold showers for the remaining 8 days of our stay. I emailed the owner after we left and received a response stating the property was awaiting parts. Other than that, the condo is spacious and is in a great location for sunset viewing.
We had a wonderful time staying here! It was perfect for my husband and I and our two kids (ages 7 and 10). We swam every day (sometimes a day) in the pools, barbecued during the sunset, chatted with other residents and loved the ocean sounds from our rooms. The lanai was spectacular and a fully stocked condo was perfect. So many great memories made on this trip. Thank you for the wonderful and affordable accommodations!
Great communication from owners. The condo was neat and tidy and was near to town. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again.

I Am very frustrated with this VRBO review website, I wrote a lpng and glowing 5-star review of this property and the site deleted it! Suffice to say we 4 adults had a great time,Owner was very helpful, nice gated parking, lovely ocean sunset views from the unit, and great accessories come with the unit (spices, beach items). Great pools, grills. Unit was dated but very clean, riomy, well appointed with AC and wash/dryer. Highly recommended, 5-star.
We had a great vacation staying in this unit! I was very familiar with Casa de Emdeko, but this unit is much more spacious than most, and has a totally amazing view from the lanai. The hosts were very gracious and accommodating and very kindly arranged for a check in as soon as we arrived-- much appreciated after a 4:30 am pickup to the airport! The beds were comfortable; the unit very clean, and more completely furnished with every detail: no need as I discovered to pack a sewing kit or a flashlight; cupboard full of spices and other staples; hairdryer in each of the two bathrooms. As an older traveler with some mobility issues, I was very pleased by the large walk in shower with a supportive hand rail. We fed our chicken bones to the almost tame moray eels in the tidepools and saw three "green flash" sunsets the first week from the lanai. I highly recommend this unit, and want to thank Mike and Betsy for the opportunity to enjoy it on our vacation.
Amazing!!! We truly enjoyed our stay here! The condo was perfect for us. The overall property is beautiful. We had an amazing sunset view from our balcony and the pool area. It was also nice hearing the waves crashing throughout the night. We loved this place and highly recommend it!
