Incredible views and Great Location with everything you need in walking distance. Enjoyed watching the cruise ships arrive and depart every day. The Host was very accommodating and the Jeanie with the Kona Property Management was there for all our needs.We will definitely come back and hope this unit is available.

We enjoyed the place a lot. It has a view that is amazing, we enjoyed sitting and watching the waves, the fish and the turtles. Everyday we saw turtles below our room and one was very large and we now call him big Eddy. The pool was nice and never crowded. The location was nice especially if you wanted to walk to the shops and good food close by.
This is a very comfortable and well equipped condo. We spent hours on the balcony, especially since the swell was up and the waves were powerful. Saw surfers everyday as well as turtles and spinner dolphins.

This condo was so dreamy for our adventurous getaway. The sound of the ocean, sunset views and countless creature sightings in the tide pools below really made our trip!It was extremely clean, homey, and had everything we needed for our stay. We also loved the walkability to countless great coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Hale Kona Kai and it was wonderful. This was not a vacation trip this time around but was for family business. It was great to have a place like this to wind down at the end of the day and enjoy the view. I will certainly book here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great view and a location that can't be beat.

We visited Hawaii for the first time and couldn't have picked a better spot to start our time here. The room was perfect for us and the view and location was amazing. We will miss hearing the waves at night.
You will not be disappointed! Great location and beautiful unit. We saw dolphins and whales off the lanai. Amazing sunsets every night. My only one suggestion would be is to have curtains on the bedroom doors for a bit of privacy and blocking out light when someone is using living room. But it all still worked. And if you plan to do laundry bring some quarters. We had a really hard time finding anyone on a weekend give us change to wash clothes. Wish we had longer in this beautiful place. A little bit of heaven.
This condo is "Island" decorated that enhanced our stay in Hawaii with a perfect location, basically on the water, and a short walk to central Kona! The unit is remodeled with an open feeling, continuous sound of waves, beautiful sunset views from inside the condo and on the balcony! We would absolutely stay on the property and in this unit on our next visit!
Great location - right on the edge of town, walkable to lots of restaurants and shops. Condo was a little outdated - appliances and furniture - but overall clean and comfortable, and the location could not be beat!Condo was very clean and well appointed - plenty of towels and blankets, snorkel gear, tote bags, coolers, chairs, etc. view is amazing, many cruise ships all week long - but be prepared for sea-spray! Even on fourth floor, our balcony was coated in salt and wet with sea-spray most days! Crashing waves really made it hard for anything to dry out there.
First of all, this is a 5 star condo. The location is perfect, and this particular condo meets all the requirements for 5 stars. We have stayed at Hale Kona Kai many times over the past 15 years. It was nice to see the AC had been upgraded.
We agree with the listing statement that the bedroom and living room are separated by sliding french doors instead of the traditional closed rooms. This allows the condo to open up into one large space. A great benefit to this layout is that the AC works much more effectively in keeping the whole condo cool.
I appreciate the accuracy of the listing, and the picture of the cruise ship out front. It shows they are not trying to hide anything. The cruise ship is only in port on Wednesdays, and it is far enough away that it doesn't even obstruct the magnificent view.
I wish they included a picture of the tidepools in front of the lanai. It brings endless entertainment watching the
river of yellow tang come in each morning and the eels, and turtles feeding throughout the day. A perfect place to have a slow morning or watch the beutiful sunsets.
The only thing I would have wanted included, is some plastic bags, saran wrap and foil. Everything else was provided including coffee. They also provided nice welcome packs of shampoo, conditioner, soap, dish soap etc..
This property is beautiful and was everything it needed to be. Very happy with the stay.

We absolutely loved this place, location is unbeatable as well as the view.
Condo was very well laid out and had everything we needed. Walking distance to drinks or restaurants, right on the water, and on a nice quiet side street. The best part was the manager. Husband managed to forget his favorite aloha shirts in the closet and the manager had them packed and sent back immediately, keeping us up to date along the way. Thank you so much!

We so enjoyed being able to sit on the deck, with tall table and chairs, so you can see over the railing. The sounds of the ocean seeing the whales, and the sunsets reminded us of what a wonderful creation God has given us.
Would definitely stay again. Location, Ocean View, accommodations, and parking is perfect!!
