This is a nice unit with a large lanai and a panoramic view of the ocean. It has easy access to the beach and a nice big park. Good island location.
Amazing view and 1 maintenance issue was handled quickly. Very nice place and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nicely located property with great ocean front views. The place needs some tender loving care as lots of rusty appliances and other accoutrements. Also, the owner could add beach chairs and boogie boards for guests to further enjoy their stay. All that said I would stay again due to perfect location.

Wonderful stay, properly was exceptional and we had a great time in Kaua’i.
We're not strangers to using VRBO's on the islands, and sometimes the "steps to the beach" in the vrbo listing can be deceiving. This listing is accurate. The lanai has a fantastic view of the beach. Wall to wall window with large sliding glass door opens has a full view of the water about 100 yards away. Even though there's no AC, the unit is oriented well for a cross breeze. Quiet area, a nice paved bike/walk/run route along side the beach heads to a nearby park and beach area. Like many condo's on the islands, remodeling the kitchen can sometimes make for interesting kitchen layouts with cabinets opening into dishwasher doors (like this one) but completely manageable. Good kitchen supplies, clean rooms, and a great view.
We loved our stay here. The condo was spotless. Wonderfully quiet. Just the sound of waves and island roosters. Our view out the patio was all ocean and palm trees. Very close to anything you need but not a crowded neighborhood. Wonderful beach right out your door. The roads are crowded when getting places, but just give yourself a bit of extra time and all will be well. Working with the property manager was effortless. Got us a new toaster in a couple hours! Would definitely stay here again.
Beautifully maintained condo complex in quiet, private location yet close to everything. Lovely unit with all amenities except AC but ocean breezes are great. Miles of open oceanfront to stroll, nice swimming pool, nearby snorkel park, close to any attractions.

Kaha Lani feels like home away from home for us (4th trip). This was our favorite unit of the 4 units we've stayed in. Great views; photos and property description are accurate. Condo was clean with good supplies for the duration of the vacation (10 nights). Mahalo to the folks who left a box of Mac & Cheese in the cabinet.Owner/Management and Maintenance quickly resolved a "frozen" shower knob, replaced non-working bathroom fluorescent tubes (lights) in second bathroom, slow moving drain in ensuite bathroom and fixed kitchen garbage disposal. Location wise, we love the walk around the complex to the Kamalani Kai Bridge and Lydgate Park Pools. Convenient for traveling to other locations in Kauai (Princeville, Kapaa, PoiPu, Waimea, Lawai, and Hanapepe). Things we enjoyed: Kountry Kitchen Hawaiian Waffle, Lydgate Chocolate Farm Tour, Allerton/McBryde Garden Tour, Lawaii International Center, Hualani's and (because 3 dryers were out of service at Kaha Lani) Laundromat Express (5-stars) with lunch at Monico's Taqueria.We would recommend this property to our friends and family. Property's General Condition: Stairs need to be repainted; there are many nicks and digs from people dragging things up them. Lamp cover missing from second bathroom. Shower knob should be replaced. Only 1 dryer working on property.
This unit had one of the best views in the complex and a great breeze off the water. We loved walking on the deserted beach in front of the condos and venturing down the way to the ocean swimming area in the park next door. It was an easy walk and the beach and grounds were super clean! We also liked being so close to everything. The tiki bar just past the swimming hole was a great place to grab drinks and food while taking in the scenery. The central location of the condo made it so easy to explore the whole island. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

Location was wonderful. Very peaceful and yet close to everything. We used this location as a base to explore the entire island and do as many activities as possible in 10 days. We enjoyed the amazing views and the walking path and park. Kauai is an incredibly beautiful place in this crazy world and definitely worth the visit. We found the people delightful and although it was very wet during our visit it was immensely enjoyable. 4 stars for condo for the following reasons :Windows were filthy. We washed windows on our first day of vacation and enjoyed beautiful views the rest of our visit. I feel this should be part of cleaning and prep.Appliances are dated and in need of replacement.Entire condo could use an update and refresh for the price paid. Deck is not private. Center units have decks that are open and side by side. Most people may not mind this but it did not work for me.Bottom line for me is I would stay in this location again but give up the spectacular view for some updates and privacy.
Wonderful view! Could sit for hours and watch ocean. Saw humpback whales each day about 1/2 mile off shore rolling and blowing. Had neighbors but only heard a door slam once ( they fought like cats and dogs).
Lack of air conditioning was a non factor as the windward breeze was very refreshing.
Only suggestions would be (1) maybe a stand up washer/dryer (2) a designated handicap parking spot close to stairs ( I still carry a bullet and shrapnel from Panama).
Word to the wise….. if eating on the lanai, don’t set freaked when the little cardinal birds land on your shoulder looking for food.
Also, if the roosters get too close and cause a ruckus, mix some crunched up crackers and cayenne pepper around under the bushes and they will not be a problem for long.

We had the most amazing stay here. The apartment had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy. Plenty of room for a family of four and very peaceful. My only criticism would be the very unhelpful lady at the apartment reception. We were very keen to play tennis however one of the owners kept keeping hold of the key over night stopping other people using the court. The lady refused to do anything about it and was extremely rude to us after we complained to garden island properties (who dealt with the issue very promptly). We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone.
We loved this property. We were just steps away from a secluded beach which we enjoyed everyday of our stay. The pool was very nice but we opted for the beach each day. The unit does not have air conditioning but we had a constant breeze blowing through the condo day and night which kept us very comfortable. It is a third floor unit so its a pretty good climb to get you luggage up the steps but once you are settled in the steps are not an issue {about 21 stair steps} There are plenty of food choices within minutes. We would return to this unit if our travels takes us back.

Relatively small older top floor 1 BR unit centrally located with a great view and well maintained inside. Small hot water heater means no more than 5 minutes of use at a time. Sewage treatment facility to the North of property noted when winds are calm. Intermittent homeless traffic on path through front of property related to a homeless camp to the South. Cleaning fee should be enough to clean ocean facing windows between renters. Unshielded security light brightly illuminates deck all night. Gross sticky TV remote should be replaced.
