Great view, great condo, sunrise view from lanai. Oasis on The Beach restaurant was very convenient and good.
Best view in the A building we’ve experienced. Although, first place we’ve been to at Waipouli that was as bare bones as it came come for a rental. Just enough towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 paper towels, bare minimum on everything, so I had to go out and immediately buy items which we typically wouldn’t need to right away. Family of 4 with 4 rolls of toilet paper in 3 bathrooms doesn’t work long. We couldn’t Figure out why the dishes didn’t seem very clean until we ran the dishwasher (which screams!) and the top rack doesn’t get cleaned well. We love Waipouli and just think this unit needs to hit reset on what’s there and ready for guests. Every other unit we’ve been to (4) has had coffee to get started and things like aluminum foil, some sandwich bags, just typical things you are happy are there which is expected with how much is usually leftover from guests that isn’t food that may spoil. It felt like it was full cleaned out from the last guest, maybe from the cleaning team, so we can buy it all again knowing there will be a ton of items left after a week for the taking. We love Waipouli, the pool, the vibes, all amazing, just wasn’t as impressed this time around with the unit. There was a cooler and few beach chairs in the closet which was helpful, but should be replaced soon to keep guests happy as they are ripped and worn.
Fantastic views, large and roomy. On premise foodie was good but short hours.
Resort is Amazing! Very Family & Couple Friendly Resort - 10 Stars
My husband and I are in our 70s; our two adult children and their families live far from us. This trip to Waipouli and Unit A406 was a reunion dream come true. Listening to the waves 24/7, views of the beach, amazing pool with water slide, and its great location all contributed to making this vacation one for the ages. Thanks to the owner Candace for her willingness to respond to our requests and make this such a wonderful stay.
From my first contact to reserve this condo through our departure, the management was amazing. The property looks exactly like the photos. Two master suites were terrific. Everything you need is there. Grocery shopping is right across the street and the awesome Coconut Marketplace just down the street. It’s only 15 minutes from the airport. This is the best resort on the island. We loved the restaurant, Oasis on the Beach, on the premises was awesome. We will definitely be back because Kauai Calls us back!
We had a wonderful time at this property, the amenities were wonderful, the unit itself was great with a spectacular view. We also got quick answers to our questions from the property manager. It would highly recommend.
It was a beautiful property and amazing unit. The views are unmatched, comfortable furniture, plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen.
We had been looking forward to this trip for a year and staying here did not disappoint! We had breakfast on the Lanai every morning and loved the space with our family! The place was very clean and spacious and would absolutely stay here again!
Needs maintenance wasn’t happy with condition of unit. Carpet dirty turned your socks brown, bedding was worn pillows needed replacing would not rent A 406 again
Beautiful property and perfect location. It was everything the description said and more.
We have been coming to Kauai yearly for our family trip, for the last 5 years.
Kauai Calls have made our trip this year very memorable, despite hiccups with the air conditioning unit. They were very quick to respond, and accommodated us accordingly. Highly recommended!
The unit itself was impeccable with an amazing and stunning South-Eastern view of the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, the only elevator in the building malfunctioned for our entire 6 day stay. It started upon arrival having to lug all our luggage of 5 people and a handicapped child up to the 4th floor. Ended up getting stuck in the elevator twice having to call the rescue staff with the emergency call button. Numerous attempts to address this unsafe situation with onsite property management fell on deaf ears despite staff stating that “the elevator in building A has been acting up these last several days.” Very dismissive attitude and ended up feeling very unsafe on the property. At one point , I documented the elevator opening and moving about 3 inches up to come even with the floor level of the fourth floor. For the price charged on this property, unacceptable and utterly disturbing. At one point, being told to get off that elevator (after being told numerous times it was supposedly “fixed”) and go to the elevator or a different building on a different floor. Really??
It's a very nice view. The resort is showing it's age, but it is a very nice place to stay.
Best location and well maintained
We are clean freaks and this place deserves its rating
Highly recommend
Perfectly located across from grocery store and equal distance to north and south sides of the island
Resort was well maintained and granddaughter loved the pool
Five star property
Will b back
I planned this trip as a surprise for my Mom’s 70th birthday. I researched many other properties including hotel resorts and chose this based on the their previous reviews. I would say it’s exactly how the others described! The views were absolutely AMAZING! The unit was adequately furnished and supplied with everything we needed for the stay. The pool area was great, mostly quiet. They do seem to have a lot of other young families on property. The only complaint, there’s no enforcement of the “adult” only pool, but otherwise we loved it! There are a couple of things that I would suggest addressing. The kitchen pans really need replaced, we cooked several times and all of them were pretty scratched up and peeling. Also, the rugs on the lanai were pretty dirty and kept getting caught up creating a tripping hazard. We had a great trip and really enjoyed staying here, we would absolutely stay again!
You will see the ocean in this condo! (From every room!) Fabulous place for us, kiddos 6 & 9: wonderful late night hot tubs, caught the early morning sunrise, a monk seal hung out on the sand for a day, plenty of sand for digging out front, whales spouted (especially early morning, could see from the balcony) and the kids had so much fun at the waterslides. It was extremely convenient being across the street from the 24 hr Safeway… Would recommend the nearby food truck just south of the resort (for sushi) and the Lemongrass grill to the north (pesto scallops). Lydgate park swim area and maze were big hits with the kiddos. We felt very lucky to spend our time at the place… Mahalo!
