Everything from start to finish was perfect. Lori is a friendly and communicative property owner, her pride in ownership is reflected in every aspect of this condo. The. Condo is in a lovely area which is walkable to the main drag, it has a beautiful ocean view and it is absolutely spotless. We loved the pool area. We ran into a problem with our Hilo rental and Lori was wonderful in helping us with an early check in. Totally recommend this beautiful slice of paradise, w will definitely return since we visit Hawaii every year. Mahalo!
Everything was wonderful. Lori and Jay are excellent hosts. Their unit was clean and comfortable and they supplied everything you would need for a wonderful and relaxed vacation. It was located for an easy walk to town for shopping, eating and drinking. Parking included, we rented a car and went sight seeing and the unit felt like home after a long day of adventures. The bed was luxurious and we had no trouble adjusting to the time change. Thanks again for making our 30th anniversary a dream come true. Aloha
Best time ever staying at the Kona Reef ( Lori the host was the best ) Ocean View ( Condo was all set up for us ) quite , clean , would definitely stay at Lori’s condo again ( Rate 5 stars and much more like 10 stars )
Lori and Jay’s lovely unit is one of the best short term rentals we have ever stayed in! Spotlessly clean and equipped with absolutely anything you could need or want! Large spacious lanai with a gorgeous view. Split AC keeps both the bedroom and living room cool. Close walk to multiple restaurants and shops. Very responsive hosts. We loved the Big Island and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Would absolutely stay here again! Great location, beautiful view, very clean and comfortable space, huge bed, a/c worked good, kitchen had everything you'd need and the beach equipment came in handy.
The location was perfect. It’s a short walk into town with plenty of restaurants and shops. Loved the view from the lanai and the sunsets. The condo felt just like home. The host provides everything you could possibly need and more! It was the perfect place for us to relax after all of our daily activities! We had everything we needed and more for a wonderful week in Kona!
We had a lovely stay at the Kona Reef. The condo’s washer and dryer (and included soap) were helpful in keeping our suits and towels from getting musty. We had breakfast on the lanai every morning and loved watching the surfers and boogie borders. The location was perfect - far enough away to be quiet, close enough to Kona for easy access to restaurants and shopping.
My only comment is that the paperwork you receive is pretty adamant about not getting sand in the condo. As a big beach goer, that part left me a little nervous. Sand in female swimsuits is an inevitability when you’re body surfing. There is a hose and shower at the pool to get visible sand, but there was this added layer of stress to get as much sand off as me as possible. In the end, I think we did okay, but it might be a hard thing to do with a child.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kona Reef. The unit had a great view right on the water. Liked sitting out on the Lanai and listening to the sound of the ocean. Unit was fully equipped with anything you could need. Lori was a gracious host and kept us advised of maintenance/management folks who might drop by. Location is very convenient to several good bars/restaurants. highly recommended.

This is my second time here and now a permanent place to stay when I come to the big island. Gracious hosts and they place is absolutely perfect. The owners care about their place and keep it well maintained. The location and view are exceptional. You will be very happy here.

The unit was beautifully and comfortable furnished and had everything we needed and then some. The views from the balcony were amazing with whale sightings almost every day. The location was great. Just a few blocks from too many bars and restaurants to count. The beach chairs, cooler and boogie boards were perfect. The owners were great to deal with and we highly recommend this property!
