If you travel 30 minutes up the coast and to Waimea you will find a charming town abounding with farmer's markets, shopping, restaurants, and a theater that seats 500.

Getting Around:
To explore the Big Island's stunning diversity—from black sand beaches to waterfalls and volcanoes—a rental car is strongly recommended. If you're not driving, consider local tour operators, private drivers, or ride shares. Hawaii Island does not have abundant public transportation.
