We have stayed in four different condos in the Kumulani development at the Mauna Kea Resort, and this unit was superior. It was comfortable, well appointed, and the sunsets were terrific. The Weber gas BBQ was easy to use and eating on the lanai was pleasant as we watched the sun go down. Having the Osmosis water feature was a real bonus as this is the first trip we did not need to purchase drinking water. We used it every day for tea and coffee. Although the Beach Club privileges are really getting expensive, we did enjoy using them. The Muana Kea hotel and swimming pool areas are in the beginning stages of an extensive remodel, so several amenities were not available during our stay, and the construction noise was challenging to ignore. We spent more time at the Hapuna Westin beach and pool due to this disruption. We plan to stay in this same unit again.

Unit was as described. Quiet, end of the street location overlooking the golf course and ocean with sunset views from the lanais. Well stocked kitchen. Communication with the owner was easy. Would definitely stay here again on next trip to the Big Island.

We've stayed at several units in the Kumulani area and found this one had the best views of the ocean, sunsets, golf course. Everything was immaculate, checkin was clear and easy, the owner got right back to us when we had questions. We were comfortable and happy during our stay. The renovations going on at the Mauna Kea were not an issue and it's actually a really nice time to go as the hotel has very limited guests and the beach is not crowded. Complimentary use of all the snorkel gear, paddle boards, kayaks, and a 30 minute outrigger canoe tour included with the Residential Guest package. Even after a 4 week stay it was still hard to go home.
Our stay was perfect in every way. This condo was so thoughtfully decorated and supplied with every possible need. You can tell the owners love this place and want you to truly feel like their guests. Having close access to golf, tennis and the beach was perfect. We will definitely come back.
A most wonderful vacation on the Big Island overlooking Hapuna Golf Course with the blue pacific is the distance. A quick ride to the beach and beauty of Mauna Kea. With lots to explore our 10 days was over too soon. The condo was spacious and comfortable. And the wrap around deck at sunset was a real thrill.
My husband and I have been visiting Big Island for the last 21 years. This condo was the nicest unit we have ever rented in all of the Hawaiian islands. The owners have decorated and equipped this home beautifully. If you enjoy cooking, you will appreciate all of the amenities in the kitchen. The beds and linens are top notch and the AC works great. The furniture on the lanai is very comfortable with a large fan to keep you cool and a nice BBQ. One of the very best things about the location of this Kumulani unit is the view of the sunsets from the lanai. We made sure to be on the lanai every night at sunset hour. The owners also have an easy to use music system to hook up to your phone. There are 3 nice televisions in the unit, but we never turned one on, we just enjoyed the beautiful views around us. We loved being able to spend time and swim at the beach everyday, mostly at the Mauna Kea and we enjoyed many lunches and a couple of dinners at the hotel restaurants. We hope to be able to return to Kumulani A 4 soon. Mahalo!
