Stayed during my son’s college move in. Pictures do not do it justice.Spotless, from top to bottom.Garage parking. Quite gorgeous neighborhood.Nearby shopping and nice restaurants.Kitchen fully stocked. Bedrooms comfortable.Bathrooms clean and stocked with essentials. Outdoor seating for morning coffee or evening dinner. Pool clean although we didn’t get to enjoy as much as expected.Hosts are super kind and quick to respond. Highly recommend. Will stay again.
This was the perfect place for our extended family of 9 adults and two infants. Great kitchen appliances, good WiFi and comfy beds. We loved the pool and being right next door to the beach and were very happy that beach towels and beach chairs were provided. We also loved being able to walk to a bakery, grocery store, and food truck park. And the view from the lanais (balconies) was fantastic! There were only two downsides: no soap or shampoos in the bathrooms and we couldn’t figure out how to make the AC work. However, as soon as we contacted Amy the manager she came and told us that you need to close both the sliders to the deck in order to use the AC even if you only want to use it in a bedroom. After that we had no problem.
Very clean, well organized condos side by side. Plenty of sleeping options including Murphy bed & pull out sofa. Nice balconies with spectacular sunsets. Sand & beach toys for kids included. Plenty of dishes, glasses and pots & pans & skillets plus utensils. Appliances ready to use. Tastefully decorated. Walking distance to stores, food trucks, restaurants, ice cream etc. Pool with hot spa, grilling area with tables.
We brought our 4 adult kids on this vacation, the two penthouses were absolutely perfect for us. It allowed them to have their own area but still were able to spend quality time together. I can’t say enough about the owners. They were so easy to work with and gave us so much insight of places to eat and explore. You can truly tell they want everyone to have the best overall experience. The views were just breathtaking every night, we can’t wait to go back.

Our stay at the Maui Penthouse in Honokowai was terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The condo units were exactly as described on VRBO, and we appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was. The beautiful views, spacious living area, and fully equipped kitchen made our stay so comfortable, and we were impressed by the attention to detail in providing everything we needed. We especially loved the location—there was beach access right outside the condo, and restaurants, snorkel equipment rental, and stores were within walking distance. Guido and Gracie provided a useful information packet full of wonderful recommendations. The view from the condo units was A.Communication with the owner and property manager was seamless, and we appreciated how quickly they responded to our questions both before and during our stay. It truly made our trip stress-free.We’d recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway. Thank you again for providing such a fantastic place to stay. We had such a wonderful stay at Maui Penthouses. Guido and Gracie were terrific hosts and have two beautiful condos. We had nine adults and were all very comfortable. The views were incredible, wonderful food within walking distance, an amazing property manager who took care of the couple tiny issues that we had come up. We will definitely be returning in the future!
It was exactly as described and fulfilled my long list of requirements! The owners were very clear with communication and our rental was without incident.
We did enjoy the AC and it was also pleasant to comfortably shut off the AC and relish the trade winds and listen to the ocean waves and watch the breathtaking sunsets! The penthouses were well appointed and we had several dinners around the dining table and I thoroughly enjoyed the laughter of my grown children around the table once more! A mother’s dream come true to see my boys laughing and joking like they did as children.
The washer and dryer was great for wet towels and packing light for our trip! We also spent time in the pool and hot tub. The reef was truly amazing and we watched the sea turtles from the penthouse. We could easily snorkel and swim at the beach and in front of the penthouses. The adjacent beach was perfect for water sports and we had a family photo session there to capture our Hawaii vacation.
The view was a dream come true!
The location of the Maui Penthouses was truly ideal and we visited many of the local shops and restaurants. The ABC store and Safeway provided all we needed for meals and snacks. We traveled to the marina and had a fishing trip of a lifetime catching blue marlin. The boys did the Road to Hana, rented motorcycles, and we enjoyed the Old Lahaina Luau for our final night.
I highly recommend the Maui Penthouses for your vacation! You will not be disappointed!
The property was easy to get to. Parking was easy. It’s right off water but didn’t have the easiest access to get to water due to work site closures blocking stairs down to the water.
Pool is okay but nothing great.
Condos themselves felt clean however without ac you are forced to sleep with the doors open which is great when you listen to waves and the night has cooled off enough. Not as great when people are playing at the pool and it’s hot outside. Between 3-5pm the condos are burning up in July and it doesn’t matter how much trade winds you get. Also, with the windows open (screens closed) gnats and bugs were in the room.
Overall, a decent stay for the price. Not a penthouse other than it’s on the 4th floor, so set your expectations. When this place has AC which they show signs of installing, it will be much more worth the cost.
We rented both units with my 2 adult siblings and their significant others, our mid-70’s parents and my 2 teenage daughters. There was ample space for everyone. The location of the property is absolutely key. We watched whales from our deck and the pool absolutely every day! It was the highlight of the property! The units are well equipped and the owner was responsive and checked in. We had no notable property issues. I’d say there are some aesthetic details that show the building and unit’s age. It is clear that the owner has tried to keep up with maintenance and paint, etc. But the price point on the units is high, as the units age I’m sure an overhaul will eventually be necessary. But they were clean and comfortable and as I said, for us, we were paying for the location and the views. And after 8 days exploring Maui I think this unit has some of the best with decent proximity to Whalers Village and some of the bigger name beaches and restaurants in the area. We loved! our time in Maui!
We visited Maui with 11 family members, was a perfect location to do so. Rooms are side by side with a nice kitchen, spacious living room and plenty of materials In the rooms to make for a convenient stay. it was an easy walk to numerous beaches, several local restaurants and shops that had anything you need, would highly recommend this spot for a family needing multiple units.
Just as advertised, whale watched from the balcony, clean, comfortable , nice location. Near many restaurants and things to do. Pool a little cool, hot tub great. Thank you
The property is beautifully appointed and you couldn’t ask for a better location. It was difficult to return home and fall asleep without the sound of crashing waves right outside our window!
